NO. 2 ALABAMA NEEDS FOUR OTS TO UPEND AUBURN AND KEEP COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE
Bryce Young threw a two-point scoring strike to John Metchie in the fourth overtime and Alabama's defense of its national championship remained alive Saturday after the Crimson Tide beat Auburn, 24-22. Alabama, ranked No. 2 in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, won the first Iron Bowl to go to overtime and must beat No. 1 Georgia next Saturday in the SEC championship to make the College Football Playoff. The teams traded scores in the first overtime with Bryce Young throwing a six-yard touchdown pass to Slade Bolden and Landen King catching a five-yard strike from TJ Finley. Both teams kicked field goals and converted their two-point attempts starting in the third overtime to extend the game. Finley throw an incompletion to start the fourth extra period.
The heated rivals had trouble getting going offensively. The first 10 times both teams had the ball in the first half, resulted in a punt. Young threw a 26-yard touchdown pass to Ja'Corey Brooks tying the score at 10 with 24 seconds left, leading a 13-play, 97-yard drive that took just 1:11 off the clock.
On Auburn’s sixth possession, the Tigers opened the scoring when T.J. Finley threw a quick screen pass to his left to Kobe Hudson, who ran past a falling defender and broke another tackle, scoring from 15 yards out. Auburn (6-6, 3-5) pushed the lead to 10-0 on a 33-yard field goal in the third quarter. Young, who entered the game as a Heisman Trophy candidate, was under pressure all game and finished 25 for 51 for 317 yards, was sacked seven times and intercepted once. The miscues from the Tide, as well as a lack of a running game, haunted them. They had a punt blocked, had a 38-yard field goal attempt fail when the snap was fumbled by the holder, wasting a 12-play, 61 yard drive in the third quarter and were penalized 11 times for 129 yards. Alabama finally got on the scoreboard with 8:44 left after Will Reichard's 30-yard field goal following an interception by Josh Jobe. Finley got the start for Auburn after the Tigers lost starter Bo Nix to a broken ankle during a 43-34 loss to Mississippi State after Auburn blew a 25-point lead. He threw for 137 yards and was sacked five times after hobbling around with his own ankle injury.

THE TOP THREE PLAYERS TO DRAFT IN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL
6
HOW TO ... DRAFT PROPERLY IN NFL FANTASY FOOTBALL Running backs are back in a major way in fantasy football. The truth is, they never went anywhere. Like with every position, talent reigns, but volume is just as important. Considering your league's format — standard vs. PPR-leaning — is valuable, in the end, you're looking for the best bottom-line production with scrimmage yards and TDs. Looking at the top running back tier this season, the workhorses are varied. Christian McCaffrey and Alvin Kamara do a lot with receiving, while Dalvin Cook and Derrick Henry deliver more with rushing and scoring. In the era of committees, you should consider backs who get at least 17-20 touches per game.
The best running backs might seem to have the ultimate relevancy in fantasy football, but the league's passing boom has brought standout wideouts to a whole new level. Studs such as Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Stefon Diggs, and DeAndre Hopkins are so good catching passes from top-level quarterbacks that they serve as surer things than most running backs. They obviously carry more top-24 weight in PPR-leaning leagues, but they are also standard stars. The tight end cupboard has been quickly restocked in the NFL. In recent seasons, the adage has been you either take a top eight end, such as Travis Kelce, within the first three rounds or wait a while to address the position after filling out running back, wide receiver, quarterback and flex. While Kelce, Darren Waller, and George Kittle are the latest formidable big three, tight end is now stacked with promising youngsters right behind them.

QUESTIONS FOR...
KOBE BRYANT American entrepreneur, author and NBA player.
1. How did the nickmame “Black Mamba” come about?
3. What inspired Kobe to become an author? "When I create a story, I am mostly thinking about the kind of reader I was as a kid, and what my girls are like now. I am trying to create stories and characters that they would want to read, that they can connect and relate to, and that reflect their experiences. That’s what inspired me to get started with Granity Studios after I retired, and it’s what continues to inspire me now."
“I looked it up online and went ‘That’s me’,” he had said. Bryant had said he created ‘Black Mamba’ alter ego to separate his personal and professional lives.
2. What might Bryant be afraid of? "Back in the day when I was in Italy, I used to order shoes from Nike all the time. I ordered the Elephant Print Jordans that were amazing. I went to the park to play and stepped in a huge pile of dog crap. You wouldn't believe how mad I was. I was breaking off sticks to try to get it out of the crevices. I smacked them together and scraped the soles on the curb but couldn't get it all out. Ever since that day I just can't stand dog crap."
4. What motivates Kobe Bryant to keep working hard?
"I Wanted You To Know That It Doesn't Matter How Hard You Work, That I'm Willing To Work Harder Than You"
5. What is Kobe Bryant's favorite food? Kobe Bryant said his favorite dish of all time was frog legs dipped in honey garlic sauce. He stated that this delicacy was sensational, and he looked forward to every mealtime involving these delicious little snacks.

USMAN (left side) Covington (right side)

USMAN REMAINS WELTERWEIGHT CHAMPION AS HE DEFEATS COVINGTON NEW YORK -- Kamaru Usman has said repeatedly that he dislikes Colby Covington more than any other opponent he has ever faced. But after their 10th round in the cage together, Usman and Covington could do nothing except embrace. Usman beat Covington via unanimous decision (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) in the main event of UFC 268 on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. With a win in their rematch, Usman retained the UFC welterweight title.
Usman said he tried to be more aggressive and finish Covington but had to be more tactical in his approach. "He's tough. He's super tough," Usman said. "I wanted to get crazy and get him out of there. But that's not what the best do." ESPN has Usman ranked at the top of its pound-for-pound list of best MMA fighters. At welterweight, Usman is No. 1 and Covington is No. 3.
The two fought at UFC 245 in December 2019 with Usman winning via fifthround TKO in what many consider one of the best title fights in UFC history. This one didn't disappoint either. Usman nearly finished Covington with huge left hands in the second round, but Covington rallied late, hurt Usman with a body kick in the fourth round and landed hard combinations in the fifth.
