Prof. Dr. Zeynep Günay Asst. Prof. Dr. Erdem Ceylan Dr. Deniz Aslan Re. Asst. Erenalp Büyüktopçu Sinan Logie The path starts from Komsomolskaya square, Kazansky Train Station railways, and stretches out to Novo Ryazanskaya Garage Building designed by Konstantin Melnikov and Vladimir Shukhov. Along the path, common, private and intermediary spaces can be investigated. It is a community of places that people can express themselves and become part of the learning environment. The places and people which create limits were observed. These intermediary places are formed according to relations between neighbors.

According to researches about Moscow and studies on ‘Housing Architecture’, various methods of drawing and modeling has tried. -right 1: Sukharev Market, which was visited by Muscovites frequently till Lenin’s restraint in 1925. This Market was bringing people from the suburbs and center of the city. This was an opportunity for their political expressions. -right 2,3,4,5,6: Boundaries created by places and people has been studied. -below: Different methods have researched. due to discussions of limits and limitlessness. In this methods, scale changes enable to search for space.

ENERGY EFFICIENT BUILDING DESIGN FARMHOUSE IN ÇATALCA Fall 2017-2018 4th Year Construction Project Prof. Dr. Alpin Köknel Yener Assist. Seda Kaçel
Movable sliding walls and partially openable roof system are the main decisions of this project. These ideas were supported by the designed systems. Climate change determines the organization of the house. In winter it acts like a total house. In summer, rotatable external walls open. The corridor becomes an open street and passive cooling can be accomplished by the fresh air circulation around each unit such as a living room, kitchen, bedrooms. These changes on structural elements redefine the spaces.
18

The movable sliding walls provide an opportunity for changing the dimensions of the units according to the activity. By sliding walls through the living room and working room, workshop area arises in a corridor. Because of this open and closed types of the house each wall act as an external wall. The variations of walls, plans, and roof system have effects on spaces.
The corridor is transforming into an open space when the walls slid and the roof opened. Conditions are changing such as; air ventilation and light transmission. When it is closed it is still taking controlled light into the corridor. The light reaches each unit. Pv panels on windows producing energy. The required slope for PV panels is provided when the roof is opened.

Reconnect the blue and green infrastructure in Milan by linking abandoned areas to existing ecological corridors. Be more accessible while connecting the new center with the surroundings. Farini train station has one active railway and has some abandoned structure. In this project, all the railways are preserved and reused as an ecological corridor. Each scale is connected to the surrounding neighborhood. 34

There are a lot of factories which are become different in subject, life, history, network, a connection between people, country, topography. Some of them correlate with these topics strongly and they make an impression on memories of city and people. Most of the factories become inactive as a result of incidents like going to the wall, transferring, becoming needless in Istanbul. How do they become integrated with urban life?

PEACE BUILDING - FLOW OF TARLABASI Spring 2015-2016 2nd Year Project Assoc. Prof. Aslıhan Şenel Collective Imaginations Studio
Being in safety and peace is gradually increasing while getting into the interior these days. As a result of this attitude, individual and society are disintegrated by evident borders.
46
47
48
The flow of Tarlabaşı seeks that the building peace potential of the intermediary spaces which are in between the private spaces and public spaces. The intermediary spaces that inhabitants maintain their daily life provides a connection between the neighborhood and residents. Space can take form according to the demand of the user. The structure made of composite material supply elasticity of this space.
The frequency of the structure’s netting increases while the areas are getting private so this system creates constant and changeable areas. A transition between common areas and private areas, the structure’s netting get loose. The load that arises from the users on the flooring transfers by cables to the vertical structure, this transmission provide a change on the structures netting and the spaces.

At the beginning of the project, Taksim square analyzed and mapped according to specific situations and spontaneous activities. According to the analysis, the project settles down between Taksim square and Gezi parkÄą. While the structure was closed and using as a toilet, the outside walls produce streets that people can pass by. The movement as a result of usage creates different possibilities for common spaces. The 2,5-dimensional plan expresses the idea of movement with its rotatable wall lines from their joints.
