Janine – The Vintage Queen The resident vintage queen, this lady is religiously dressed head to toe in stunning vintage ensembles, with nylons, heels and perfect petticoat flair. Her hair and brain work as hard as her style and she consistently comes up with ideas and thoughts to better the business of vintage, putting them into action as swiftly as she could glide across a crowded room.

Judy – The Eloquent Thinker She’s able to fit into the slimmest of vintage attire and can twirl a skirt like no one else. Definitely educated and with a sharp wit to match she is the ruler of writing a great blog. She is superb at summing up with a personal injection that addictively draws you in. This girl should be given a column about love, life and dreams.

The Charity Who are they?

The Tom Bowdidge Foundation is a charitable foundation, founded on 28th February 2014 and launched by his parents, Richard and Nikki on the 20th birthday anniversary of Tom Bowdidge. Tom died of a desmoplastic small round cell tumour and extensive peritoneal disease in October 2013, at the age of 19.

What do they do?

The Foundation is headquartered in Colchester and its goal is to raise funds to support research projects and to provide physical and emotional support to teenagers and young people with cancer.

On the day

Watch out for the Tom Bowdidge Foundation stand and collection buckets throughout the day. Proceeds from the raffle will be going towards the charity and watch out for a special guest appearance from Barney!

Meet the Models Chloe

Chloe is a first timer with SVF and it’s great to have her on board! She works in a local college and has an adorable puppy named Annie! (who unfortunately won’t be joining us!)

Emma

Another first timer with us, Emma has come to us through the charity, as she is Tom’s sister. This girl runs marathons which we find seriously impressive... we don’t even run for a bus!

Jo

Jo is a Secret Vintage Show veteran, having been with us for all of them so far. She’ll also be popping up in the burlesque, so keep your eyes peeled!

Judy

In between helping to organise the fairs, and starting new venture Retro Tots, Judy will also be strutting her stuff for another fashion show!

Lotte

No stranger to fashion, Lotte is in the third year of a Fashion degree at Colchester School of Art. She has recently had a garment chosen to potentially be shown at London Graduate Fashion week, so one to watch!

Phoebe

Phoebe has previously modelled for GO4 Market Cafe’s fashion show. A barista at the cafe, she recently got involved in the trading side of things, when she had a stall selling handpainted items to raise awareness about eating disorders.

The Venue

The Town hall is an iconic baroque building with plenty of history and grandeur. designed by John Belcher and built in 1897 before the celebrated opening in 1898, although the site itself has been the focus for civic duties for over 800 years. The Grade I listed building with 162ft Victorian Tower makes an impressive venue for the event from the moment you arrive, From the Italian marble staircase to The impressive hall, complete with stage, we will be taking over the building from bottom to top, with entertainment, and of course the best vintage, handmade and retro-inspired traders... so enjoy!
