Sector 9 Field Trips

From the mountains to the sea, and everywhere in between...

That’s exactly where this year has taken us, and we’re not

gonna lie, it was a ton of fun. That’s why we decided to take you along for the ride through the images we gathered along the way. So kick back and enjoy the ride as our crew takes you from the far reaches of the Caroline islands to the hustle and bustle of the Lower East Side of New York city. From there it’s out to the countryside, then back into the hills, only to plop you down under in Oz, where the only time they’re interested in is a good one. We hope you enjoy the ride... We sure have.

die, Rasta took Gavin and the crew to one of his favorite hills while waiting for the wind to just outside of Byron Bay.

For some reason dogs just love to bite skateboards.

in thought this I don’t know why Gav avy. board was gonna be he

Pure Gavin just enjoying the rough life in New S. Wales. He’s such a creature and

he bleeds his own style into everything

with that never fading smile. All that, and he’ll surf till he’s falling over and then paddle right back out for more.

It has to be one of the coolest things about being a surfer. Almost every other sport, or fun thing to do, is hampered by the rain. For surfers, it just lays

down a deeper sense of solitude. if it starts to bother

you then just duck under the lip for some relief like Gavin at P-Pass.

A rare turn, and the not so rar e smile.

The people of the Caroline’s are happy to see you come and enjoy their little slice of heaven, but when the pass gets heavy there can be a price to pay.

Eric Geiselman is still proba bly looking for that air sec tion down the line, although judging by all the weight he’s putting on the

...Either that or he wants to slow down somehow.

Yep, you missed a spot Mitchyll.

We’re not sure what these guys are trolling for but it must be big.

Here’s a couple of classics rolled up in one. We see Vintage style in a classic turn by Harrison Roach right under the eye of Montauk’s iconic lighthouse. It might be a little far out on the island for most to drive but if you do, you could get rewarded with some beautiful eat down to earth people north east scenery, some gr od waves. and if you’re lucky, some go

There just seemed to be so many little, classic things to take pictures of out there, but still Jen and Annie took pictures of each other... shooting pictures.

Jen out enjoying some nice wide open country and smelling the flowers to boot.

Annie stepping up to the empty bowl and showin’ it who’s boss.

Time moved slow, Jen figured out her new camera and things were enjoyed in their own due time and given proper perspective.

look at him like Louis just doesn’t care. He’s gonna put griptape on the side of his board and when you foot right he’s crazy he’s gonna give you that shit-eating grin Then he’s gonna fly past you, put his onto that gripped spot and chuck a perfect slide with style.

ting ng geared up sure isn’t GetGetti like it used to be. So many options.

Not too many options to help Jeff and Evren up the hill though...

Evren’s always been fast, at least as long as we’ve known him. But, in the last couple of years he’s really grown up, and in a great way. He still hasn’t gotten over the “making funny faces” stage of his life though, and we don’t want to push him there either.

Louis drawing a nice line on a turn that could be Italy, or maybe Norway, with its narrow roads, and people driving the wrong way up the hill. It’s not.

Jeff taking his time, weaving through Central Park.

Not a day goes by in the Strawberry fields section of Central Park where the Imagine mosaic isn’t doused with flowers in honor of John Lennon.

Watch out for Jeremy Peckham, he’s a little ball of fire that doesn’t stop kicking. He rides a board that’s almost as tall as he is and is ready to throw down a sesh anytime, anywhere. Nailing down

the exact specs of his board is another story though. Here he is on Jeremy board version 27.3.

some good smiles. The cityscape in and around Bleecker street provides

Tyler can always be counted on to wear his urban camo of brown and black. ...Day, after day, after day.

There’s something for everyone in the city... and plenty of stairs to climb too.

Jeremy doing a little

rock dance in midtown.

WHERE’S WALDO?... I mean Tyler

You can’t take the Oregon out of the boy, but you can take the boy outta Oregon. WHEre’D ALL The TREEs Go?

Tyler USIng his urbAn camo to sneak up on so me unwary pigeons.

While it might be dangerous at times, skating is a great way to get around the city fast but still slow enough to soak it all in.

Joel wanted to stop and rest by this ambulance just in case.

So much brick, so little time...

Imagine cruising up to the skatepark and seeing all these guys sittin here. , you’d be First you’d be laughing because half of them are barefoot. then skate thinking hmm... I know these guys can surf, but can they really too? Then with varying degrees of style they all show you

that yes, they can.

Umm... I’m pretty sure that chick just took my hat so I better go after her!

There was no shortage of good times.

YEP, that’s a mustache.

of Mike Morrissey’s got plenty in his bag othly. tricks and he throws ‘em all down smo

Jarrah’s either looking for some waves or a chick. Shocker.

SurFer’s Paradise

Ricky stole the show with his water ski abilities. Can’t say the same about his digi skills

Backside airs seemed to be the call of the day.

“Somebody say backside? - Jarrah

Its gonna be scraps out there but Mr. U-turn will make the most of it.
