Third graders were invited to talk about their favorite outings in São Paulo and explore the vocabulary involved when describing such places. They read many examples related to this topic, such as restaurant reviews written by American children and food critics. After getting familiar with this kind of writing, we discussed the content and the structure of this genre. Then, we elicited from the students their preferred places in São Paulo in each of the chosen categories and they started practicing their writing in groups. To produce this book, students researched interesting information about the places they were writing, sometimes even visiting them again in order to have fresh material. The result is a fun reading into their minds regarding the places they usually visit, their impressions and opinions. It was a semester of hard work and now they can proudly share their production with families, friends and even the general public, in the hopes of helping people that are moving to our city to have fun with their kids. We hope you enjoy it.

Bar do Juarez
RESTAURANTS
Bar do Juarez is not very big, but not too small. We think it is cozy, but too nosy because people talk too loud. The menu starts with the appetizer that can be the delicious French fries, or some bread with butter or even the incredible ribs. There are many kinds of meat, just like filet mignon and filet steak, our favorite. We love the desserts that they do, like the petit gateau, that is very delicious, or the ice cream and some others. In Bar do Juarez there are many drinks. You can order fresh juices, for example: watermelon or orange. And they have a special strawberry vitamin and there are three types of sodas. The adults can choose beer. The servers are very nice. The restaurant is always busy so the service is slow. And it is not very expensive.

Benihana
Chalezinho
Benihana was not very famous at first, but now it is famous but not so big. You can go with your family and friends because the tables are big. In front of the table, there is a grill. The chef cooks in front of you. It’s very expensive. The food is very good. It has different types of food: seafood, meat and Japanese, but we prefer Japanese food and meat. The dessert is also very good. There is a chocolate brownie volcano and vanilla ice-cream. You can find Benihana in many places around the world like: New York, Tokyo, Los Angeles, Orlando, São Paulo, Dubai and many other places. If we could choose a grade for this restaurant it would be 1000.This restaurant is outstanding.
Chalezinho is a beautiful wooden cottage, dimly lit at night. There are soft red towels on all the tables, there is a fireplace and a bar. There is a piano so when you are having dinner you choose a song and the piano player will play it. Chalezinho celebrated 15 years in São Paulo. The main course is fondue. The cream cheese fondue comes with Italian bread on a beautiful Bordeaux iron pan and long forks to dive the bread in the cheese. The result is a warm crispy delicious bread covered with tasty salty cheese. The meat fondue is healthy and soft and have a very special flavor. This fondue comes with filet mignon/premium meat cubes. You put the meat in the big fork and dive it in the hot oil or wine (you can choose) and when the meat cooks, you can deep it in one of the special sauces and then eat it.

Corrientes 348
The 348 is not so big. There is only one floor and they have an outside area. It is brown and it looks like a house. 348 was built many years ago. This restaurant is not so formal. It isn’t too busy and the food comes very fast. The waiters are nice and they put hand sanitizer on their hands all the time. There are many kinds of meat and potatoes in the menu, but first they serve some delicious bread. There are many amazing dishes. Their food is wonderful. The beef, the potatoes and the polenta are the best. The chicken is big and it is so good. The salad has tomatoes, broccolis, lettuce and many other vegetables... it is fantastic, everyone likes it. There are many types of drinks, like sodas, apple and grape juice, but if you are an adult you can also choose beer or wines. The drinks are awesome. They have some tasty desserts, our favorite is the ice cream. We think everyone should visit 348. Their food is legendary. It is an expensive restaurant, but it is worth it.
Dhaigo
Dhaigo is a small and well-lit Japanese restaurant. It is beautiful. Dhaigo was built with glass and wood. There is a wooden counter and you can see the sushi man behind it. Our favorite dish there is hot-roll, which is made with salmon, crispy fried skin and soy-sauce. We also like sashimi and the yakissoba. The yakissoba comes with vegetables and chicken or meat. For dessert you can choose ice cream, petit gateau or sweet hot-roll. To drink you can get sodas, water or juices, but if you are an adult you can get sake. Dhaigo is a very successful restaurant with its high ceiling and pleasant room. The service is slow but good. Dhaigo is open from Monday to Saturday.

Kappa Sushi
Lanchonete da Cidade
Kappa is very big and delicious. It is very close to another Japanese restaurant. There are many Kappas in São Paulo. The food is awesome. There are sushis, salmon, temakis, yakisoba, sashimis, shimeji and hot rolls. Some food come cold or hot, the cold food is better than the hot, in our opinion. There are two bars and there are a lot of chairs and tables. Some tables are for families, some for two and four people. The restaurant is wonderful and our rating is 10,0. The service is good, the cooking is fast and the waiters are kind. You can also go there, it is very good and delicious. We hope you enjoy it.
Lanchonete da Cidade is a legendary fast food restaurant to have lunch, dinner or snacks. They serve a delicious hot dog, French fries, hamburger and an epic milk-shake. You should try these flavors: Ovomaltine, Nutella and caramel. The burgers are incredible because they make their own hamburger with tasty meat. They are the best ever. Lanchonete da Cidade is beautiful, big and colorful. The service is very fast and very good. It is expensive but worth it. We recommend this restaurant to go with your family and friends. It is very fun. If you have children, they are going to enjoy the meal and the place.

L’Entrecôte d’Olivier
Maremonti
L’Entrecôte is located in Itaim Bibi and Jardim Europa. We think the food is magnific and good. The food that we ate there was a steak with French fries, and we ate it with ketchup. This is the only dish at the restaurant and for starters there is a salad with tomato and sauce. The service is good. The waiters are nice and the food does not take a long time to get ready. They are friendly and we already met the chef. He has a program on TV. His name is Olivier Anquier. The restaurant is not so big, the size is medium. The entrance is fancy. There is not a door for entrance and another for exit, it is the same door. The restaurant has sofas and chairs to sit down and the bathroom is on the corner. It is a small bathroom. We think that this restaurant was good. 10/10 is the grade we give it. So, you should go there.
In Brazil there are a lot of Pizza Places, especially in São Paulo. Maremonti is located in Campo Belo and in other addresses. Outside, there is a bridge to go inside the restaurant. Inside the restaurant is very big and beautiful. There is a bar and a place for the kids to play. Maremonti is very expensive. The pizza is very good, the food is very crispy. The best dish is the Peperoni Pizza. The dessert is very good; the vanilla ice cream has a cherry on the top. You can put sprinkles on the vanilla ice cream if you want. The Menu has: Peperoni Pizza, Pizza of Nutela with Strawberry, Cheese Pizza, Sausage Pizza, Ham and Cheese Pizza and more. The service is very good. The waiters are very nice. The food takes a long time to get ready but the food is delicious and the waiters play with us. We love Maremonti and the grade is 10/10 because everything is amazing.

In our opinion, the best ones are mozzarella and margherita. The house specialty is pizza but you will find other dishes from the Italian cuisine like chicken or parmigiana steak and carpaccio salad. The pizza is big and there are many flavors. There is a kids area where they can play and the service is great. Parque Zoológico de SP
Urban Motion
At the zoo, there are many animals. And it is a beautiful place with lots of green. You can see giraffes, lions, bears, monkeys, tigers, different types of birds and many other interesting animals. If you are visiting with your school group you can see how they feed the animals and you can walk through a forest to learn about trees, plants and flowers. You need to know that the zoo is very big so you need to spend a long time there because there are many things to see and do. You are allowed to take snacks and drinks to have a picnic or you can buy some things there. On weekends it is very full and it is really hard to find a place to park the car. Sometimes the animals hide because there are many people and you will not be able to take good photos. Choose a warm day to visit the zoo but if it’s too hot you are going to feel tired and you should wear comfortable clothes because you are going to walk a lot.
There are many Urban Motions around the world but the one in São Paulo is in Dr. Rubens Gomes Bueno Street, 288. Urban Motion is very big and it has a place where you can buy food and drinks. At Urban Motion you can do a lot of activities on the trampolines like: dodgeball, basketball and slackline. There is a trampoline that you jump and then you fall on foam sponge. There is also a challenge that you have to jump on a trampoline, climb on a mattress and then there is a higher mattress that you have to climb and then you jump back to the trampoline. Our opinion about Urban Motion is that it is the best entertainment of São Paulo. If we could chose a grade for Urban Motion it would be 1.000. You can go there with your family and friends. Urban Motion is a very nice place for kids to go but adults can also participate in the activities.
