PARTICIPATING AMBASSADORS

Ambassador Guidelines Introduction We are thrilled to be able to work on a weekly basis with mission-driven and passionate individuals, who are investing their time in building and strengthening their local start-up ecosystems. It is a real pleasure for us to welcome you in Dar es Salaam and allow you to meet and mentor all the Seedstars World winners that you helped us spot.

PARTICIPATING MENTORS

Mentor Guidelines Introduction We are thankful for the amazing mentors that will be with us during the summit who are coming from all across the continent to share their expertise with the startups that will be present at the summit. The entire summit team is excited to welcome you all to Dar Es Salaam!!

Mentor Guidelines Keep it helpful: if you do have to criticize, make sure you suggest the startup a solution and work on solving the problem with them. Determine their investment readiness: we already have the numbers, we count on you for the quality judgement and on verifying if the numbers make sense. Emerging markets context: these startups operate in a different context than in Europe, make sure to consider their ability to adapt and operate in these markets. We think global: we’re looking to invest in global companies, we want to help them scale.

PARTICIPATING SPEAKERS

Speaker Guidelines Introduction At Seedstars, we are always looking for passionate and mission-driven entrepreneurs who use technology for impact. Hearing their stories is what keeps us up and going, and you are definitely some of them! We are excited to be able to hear more about your personal journey during the Summit. Here are some guidelines to make sure

Speakers Guidelines Be Open Come and participate with an open and respectful attitude, especially towards foreign ideas and cultures. Have fun Your message will be more memorable when you’re relaxed and enjoying yourself on stage. Do Not Promote On Stage Help us maintain the non-commercial environment that our audience loves. Do not use marketing material. Avoid aggressive marketing tactics. They will be counterproductive with our community. Give Us Feedback Many of the innovations you’ll see at Seedstars Summit (open stage, questions system, pitching contest, etc.) are a direct result of the feedback we receive. Please let us know what you think!

Your keynote preparation Your keynote will last about 10 minutes. Of course, we will help you in the process to make sure we answer your questions and that your speech is aligned with the audience expectations. We will book 3 timeslots in your agenda to give you more details on the format, and review your first draft then final presentation together. We expected to receive your final presentation by Dec, 5th. 35
