MID CENTURY MODERN Midcentury modern” itself is a difficult term to define. It broadly describes architecture, furniture, and graphic design from the middle of the 20th century. Organic and geometric shapes. Mid-century modern style focuses on clean lines with a mix of both organic and geometric shapes. Function over form. Minimal ornamentation. Contradicting materials and textures. Neutral (and bold!) .Bringing nature indoors. COLOURS, MATERIALS & TEXTURES INSPIRED BY AS FOLLOWS
There are photo frames showing the evolution of music to this world in the living room. The reason is Music without any question mix your feelings and forms your mood, there is always a music or an album where you identify yourself, depending on any genre. As any other aspect of the social life, it influences the decoration of a space as it tries to transmit the essence of it. Not forgetting the classical years they were very rich in terms of melodies let´s find out some examples of mid-century decor influenced by songs or musicians. Some of the other elements that is been put together to over all make the space look exquisite are use of bold colours such as burnt orange, dark green fabrics, wallpapers for bedrooms and brushed gold metal for faucets, light fixtures, door handles.

LIVING AREA With their classic looks and pared-back style, mid-century modern living room ideas are enduringly popular – and it is easy to see why this look is revered so highly, even now. Spanning the decade between the Thirties and the Seventies, these simple shapes were inspired by earlier design movements, including the Bauhaus school in Germany. Materials such as moulded plastics allowed designers to explore new textures, colors and forms. Mid-century modern style is characterised by clean straight lines and flowing organic curves. Simplicity in design and styling is key, along with a lack of ornamentation and a limited color palette. Although mid-century modern style was driven by advances in technology, it was also inspired by the natural world, and wood is the most widely used material for furniture. A living room is a room in a home that’s used for entertaining friends, \ talking, reading, or watching television. There is variety among Mid-century Modern homes, but generally they are single storey homes with an open-concept layout, lots of windows primarily on the sides and back of the house, with a unique embrace of the outdoors. Large expanses of glass are used to bring the outdoors in and in many homes were made interior courtyards and atriums with glass walls
Investing in wood, creating the ILLUSION OF SPACE – WITH SLIMLINE FURNITURE, decorating in primary colour palette, coming up with a comtemporary take on MIDCENTURY MODERN living room, going for retro colour scheme or colourfull wallpapers etc, these are some of the ideas that can be muddled up to bring this style into the space

When it comes to creating a beautiful and stylish space for cooking, a midcentury modern kitchen is a classic style that is completely on-trend. Midcentury style is characterized by clean lines and a dash of warmth thanks to the use of wood and a splash of color or graphic pattern. The trend hasn’t grown tired since its inception, but instead it just seems to get bigger. Flat-front cabinets and use of wood are solid indicators of midcentury modern style. While this kitchen could pass for a more minimalist space, it’s the semicircular handles, wood, and matte finishes that give it midcentury modern flair. It’s a great example of how easy it is to transform the overall feel of a kitchen (or any space, for that matter) without needing to take out a wall or whip out the paint.

DINING AREA A mid-century dining room design blends comfort with modern lines, for a perfectly retro-inspired look. It’s definitely a bit more styled that some other design styles, but it remains approachable and comfortable. Dining room chairs are where the personality really comes into play in mid-century dining room designs. For a more formal approach, you can go for upholstered chairs in a leather or tweed—ideally in an armless style with sloping angles or curved forms. But there are a number of other classic mid-century dining room ideas in the realm of chair designs—whether a more modern molded plastic style, a wishbone chair, a pretzel-style, or even a replica of an Eames molded plywood chair. Each chair provides a different vibe to your space. From there, a mid-century modern credenza offers extra storages for dishes and linens and helps drive home the design style.
BED ROOM When you run through a checklist of musts in a midcentury modern bedroom, you’ll tick off obvious details: angled legs on furniture and plenty of wood. But beyond that, midcentury encompasses the bright colors of the rainbow, a mix of mismatched textures, and even cane and rattan furniture. And lucky for you, we rounded up examples of midcentury modern bedrooms that undoubtedly include some of these iconic design features.
