Jury selection for District Court at 9 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30 in the Guadalupe County Justice Center District Courtroom 109 (1st Floor) at 211 W. Court St. in Seguin has been canceled. You do not need to appear. Please disregard the Jury Summons.
City of Seguin Hosting Blood Drive
The City of Seguin is partnering with the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center to host a Blood Drive from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Seguin Coliseum parking lot, located at 950 S. Chamber General Membership Luncheon
The Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce will have its February General Membership Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1 at the Silver Center, located at 510 E. Court St. in Seguin. SH 130 will be speaking on the current state of transportation in our area.
Regional Job Fair
The Cibolo Economic Development Corporation (CEDC), the Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce (GNBCC), the Schertz Economic Development Corporation (Schertz EDC), and the Seguin Economic Development Corporation (Seguin EDC) will host a free Regional Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at the McKenna Events Center, located at 801 W. San Antonio St. in New Braunfels. The event features over 50 employers who are ready to hire for immediate job openings across multiple industries and skills. 42 Domino Group

First Friday Feast
The Geronimo Lions will have its First Friday Feast Fish or Steak Dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at the Big Red Barn. Meals are $20 (a child’s hot dog plate is $5). Tickets can be purchased at the door. Entertainment will be provided by Chuck Reininger.
Garage/Rummage Sale
The Guadalupe County Humane Society will have its Garage/Rummage Sale at 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 behind the businesses located at 2511 N. State Hwy 46. There will be furniture, clothes, kitchen items, and décor for your home. All proceeds help sustain GCHS’ daily operations, as well as help finance our low-cost Spay/Neuter program.
Hillcrest Church Rummage/Garage/Craft Sale
The Hillcrest Church will have a gigantic Rummage/
Garage/Craft Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the church, located across from Wal-Mart off Hwy. 123 Bypass. Breakfast and lunch will be available.

Heritage Museum Calendars
The Heritage Museum is selling 2023 calendars for $10 featuring turn of the century everyday life of kids, social groups, parades, etc. There is a limited supply and they are available for purchase at the Heritage Museum, Gift & Gourmet, Pecan Town Books and Brews, Parker’s City Pharmacy, and online at www.heritagemuseum.net. Gift Ornaments of Juan Seguin for only $5 are also available at the Museum. All proceeds benefit Museum projects.

The Seguin Education Foundation will have its Mardi Gras Gala at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Seguin Coliseum. The event includes live jazz, Cajun food and beverages, and live and silent auctions. Bidding on the silent auction begins Thursday, Feb. 9. Food Distribution Event
The Navarro ISD and Guadalupe County have partnered with the San Antonio Food Bank to provide the county with a food distribution event from 9:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Navarro Intermediate Parking lot, located at 588 Link Road. The Hermann Sons Life Seguin meets every third Wednesday of the month. The social time begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a meal at 7 p.m. Members are asked to bring a side or dessert.

American Sign Language (ASL) Chat Time
There will be an American Sign Language (ASL) Chat Time from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 upstairs at Court Street Coffee Shop. The elevator will be available. The monthly chat is for the deaf, hard of hearing, CODAS, interpreters, ASL students and anyone wanting to learn ASL.
