Native Plant Society Meeting
The Guadalupe Chapter of the Native Plant Society will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 1121 E. Walnut St. in Seguin. Parking will be in the rear of the church and you can enter from N. Moss St. The presenter will be Master Beekeeper, Mark de Kiewiet on the cycle and seasonal interaction between climate, plants, and bees. Hermann Sons Life Seguin Meeting
The Hermann Sons Life Seguin meets every third Wednesday of the month. The social time begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a meal at 7 p.m. Members are asked to bring a side or dessert.
Create a Garden Worm Two-Day Class
The Seguin Art League will have a Create a Garden Worm Two-Day Class, for adults 14 or older, from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 11 and Saturday, March 25 at 104 S. Austin St. in Seguin. The class will teach you how to make a garden worm to accessorize your plants and a pinch pot to enjoy your favorite beverage or snack. ALICE Training
The Southwest Preparatory School will be hosting Active Shooter Response Certification Training (ALICE Training) from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 14 and Wednesday, March 15 at the Main Building, located at 6535 Culebra Rd. in San Antonio. This certification is a 2-day train the trainer class on civilian, active shooter response options to enable you to empower others to survive violence. Beginning Basket Making Class
The Seguin Art League will offer a Beginning Basket Making Class from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 16 at 104 S. Austin St. in Seguin. Learn to make a coil basket with fabric. This fun and relaxing basket making technique will give you the skills you need to create more. The cost is $30, supplies included. The class is limited to 10. Knights of Columbus Fish Fry
The Knights of Columbus will have a Fish Fry from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 17 at the Columbus Club, located at 1015 S. Austin St. in Seguin. Plates include fish and three sides for $12 and will be available to go or dine-in.
One Stroke Flower Painting Class
The Seguin Art League will have a One Stroke Flower Painting Class from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at 104 S. Austin St. in Seguin. Participants will learn the one stroke technique by painting different types of flowers and leaves. The cost is $35 and supplies are included. The class is limited to 10 adults.
Knights of Columbus Pork Steak Plate Sale
The Knights of Columbus will have a Pork steak Plate Sale from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, March 19 at the Columbus Club, located at 1015 S. Austin St. in Seguin. Plates include pork steak and three sides for $12.
Sunrise Lions 4th Annual Springtime Fun Run/Walk
The Seguin Sunrise Lions will have its 4th Annual Springtime Fun Run/Walk beginning with check in at 8 a.m. Saturday, March 25 at Walnut Springs Park, to Park West and back. There will be awards for Top Finisher, Best 4 Team Sponsored Finish, Most Sponsored Participants, and Best Themed Costume. Chamber March After Hours Mixer
The Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce will have its March After Hours Mixer from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at 225 Saunders Suites 6, 8, and 13. The event is sponsored by Paws to Perfection Pet Salon, Pecan City Disc Golf Shop, and URSA Botanicals.
Mid-Texas Symphony
The Mid-Texas Symphony presents “The Wild West,” at 4 p.m. Sunday, April. 2 in the Performing Arts Center at Canyon High School in New Braunfels. The event features Akiko Fujimoto, conductor.
Pickleball 101 Clinic
The City of Seguin Parks and Recreation Department will offer a Pickleball 101 Clinic from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 4 at the Seguin-Saegert Pickleball Complex, located at 418 W. Mountain St. in Seguin. The clinic is for ages 18 and older. Players must wear athletic closed-toe shoes. Equipment will not be provided. Race to Raise 5K Run/Walk
The Guadalupe Regional Medical Foundation will have its 10th Annual Race to Raise 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, April 29 at Pecantown Books & Brews. Register by Monday, April 10 to be guaranteed a t-shirt. The cost is $35 for adults, and the Kids 1 Mile (12 $ under) is $25. Adult Pickleball League
There will be an Adult Pickleball League held from 6 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday from April 11 through May 16 at the Seguin-Saegert Pickleball Complex, located at 418 W. Mountain St. in Seguin. The league includes four weeks of games and a final Championship Week, played with those of similar skill. Participants must commit to all five weeks of league play. Inclement weather day is scheduled for Tuesday, May 16. Players must wear athletic closed-toe shoes. Equipment will not be provided. Hispanic Chamber Annual Awards Banquet
The Seguin Guadalupe County Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and TAMACC Education Foundation will have its 34th Annual Awards Banquet presentations beginning with a Social Hour at 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 19 at the Seguin Coliseum. Tickets are $50 and are available by calling 830-372-3151.
Business in the Park 2023
The Seguin Area Chamber of Commerce will have its Business in the Park 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 20 in Central Park in Downtown Seguin. There will be food trucks, vendors, and live music.
