Fourth of July Parade Applications
The City of Seguin Main Street program has Fourth of July Parade Applications available online at www.seguintexas.gov/fourthofjuly or at the Seguin Visitor Center, located at 116 N. Camp St. in Seguin. The application deadline is Monday, June 19.
LULAC Garden
The Seguin LULAC Community Garden, located on 8th Street has green beans, cue ball squash, and peppers ready for picking. The garden is open to all free of charge. Bring your own bags and be careful where you step in the garden.
Crossroads Church Youth Ministry Car Wash Fundraiser
The Crossroads Church Youth Ministry will have a Car Wash Fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27 at the church parking lot, located at 3455 US Hwy 90 in Seguin. Donations accepted. For questions, contact Brandy at 830-379-7737.
Community Youth Outreach Cookout
The United Women in Faith of Wesley-Harper United Methodist Church will have its Community Youth Outreach Cookout for children and youth, along with a parent or guardian, living in or around the Pradera Housing Complex from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 27 at the Pradera Housing Complex. There will be free hotdogs and chilidogs with all the trimmings, games, goody bags, and free shoes and sandals all while supplies last.
Seguin Seventh Day Adventist Church Yard Sale
The Seguin Seventh Day Adventist Church will have a Yard Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29. There will be various items for sale including televisions, home vacuums, tools, books, and more.
Geronimo VFW Dance
The Geronimo VFW Post 8456 will have a dance, with the Gabe Galvan Band, from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 28 at 6808 N. Hwy 123 in Geronimo. The doors open at 1:30 p.m. with a $10 admission. For more information call or text 830-3058829.
Guadalupe Appraisal District Closure
The Guadalupe Appraisal District offices in Seguin and Schertz will be closed Monday, May 29 and will re-open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30.
City of Seguin Offices and Library Closed for Memorial Day
The non-emergency City offices and the Seguin Public Library will be closed Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day. Offices re-open on Tuesday, May 30. Garbage and recycling will be collected as normal.
Community Listening Event
The CCSCT will have a Comal, Guadalupe, and Kendall Counties Community Listening Event sponsored by Methodist Healthcare Ministries from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 at the McKenna Event Center Ballroom, located at 801 San Antonio St. in New Braunfels. The Celebrate Recovery ministry at Crossroads Church meets from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday nights at 3455 W. Hwy 90 in Seguin. First Friday Feast
The Geronimo Lions will have its First Friday Feast Fish or Steak Dinner from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 2 at the Big Red Barn. Meals are $20 (a child’s hot dog plate is $5). Tickets can be purchased at the door. The beneficiary will be the Guadalupe Valley Christian Counseling Center and entertainment will be provided by Charlie and Wyatt.

The Seguin Art League will offer Summer Art Classes for ages five to nine from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesdays through Fridays on June 6 to June 9, June 13 to June 16, June 20 to June 23, July 11 to July 14, July 18 to July 21, and July 25 to July 28 at 104 S. Austin St. in Seguin. The cost is $120 and the supplies are included. Participants will make pinch pots, foam masks, Kandinsky pieces of art, wall hangings and learn the use of patterns, texture, design, and color.
