Flag Retirement Ceremony

There will be a Flag Retirement Ceremony at 6:15 p.m. on Flag Day, Wednesday, June 14 at Faith Lutheran Church, located at 1326 E. Cedar St. in Seguin. HEB will provide hotdogs and chips (while supplies last) after the ceremony.

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group

GCRW Kiddie Parade at Freedom Fiesta

The Guadalupe County Republican Women will have its Kiddie Parade to kick off KWED’s Freedom Fiesta at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 1 on Donegan St. next to Seguin’s Central Park gazebo. Kids can ride in their strollers, on their bikes or scooters, in their motorized vehicles, or just march around Central Park following Uncle Sam (aka, John Kuempel) around the square. The Hermann Sons Life Seguin meets every third Wednesday of the month. The social time begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by a meal at 7 p.m. Members are asked to bring a side or dessert.

Summer Strings and Choral Camps Registration

Registration for the July 10 through July 14 Summer Strings and Choral Camps, for grades 2 through 6, runs from through Saturday, July 1. The camps will be held at the Schuech Fine Arts Center on the campus of Texas Lutheran University. The cost is $125 and discounts are available. Movies in the Park

Grab some popcorn, lawn chairs, family and friends for Movies in the Park this summer, hosted by the Seguin Parks and Recreation Department.

The Movies in the Park series kicks-off Friday, June 16 at dusk. Movies will be shown on a big screen in Max Starcke Park East near the Patricia K. Irvine-King Pavilion. Additional movies in Starcke Park East will be shown at dusk on Friday, July 21 and Friday, August 25. All movies are free.
