As we celebrate the Seguin Chamber’s Centennial birthday, we have countless business, political and civic pioneers, members, volunteers and visionary leaders to thank, several of whom will be spotlighted in this commemorative magazine. You will be astonished to see the impressive milestones and legacy of accomplishments featured on our historical timeline on page 18. Inspirational stories and a reminiscent photo gallery will also enhance your walk down memory lane.

As we fl ash back to when the ‘new’ Chamber was organized in 1921, we are reminded in Seguin, Texas by Father L.J.FitzSimon, that, under the leadership of Max Starcke as the fi rst elected president, the Chamber “became a very active and progressive organization”. Later, FitzSimon states that the newly chartered Seguin and Guadalupe County Chamber of Commerce “ has played an important role in the progress of Seguin”.
