We hope that our varied programme offers something for everyone and that we will have the pleasure of meeting many of you during the course of the year. You can also book events by telephoning the Alumni Office on 01223 767844. We often take photos at events and use them in our publications and on our website. If you have any concerns about this, please contact the Alumni Office. Keeping in touch is important. Alumni Privileges Remember too, that as well as the official College events, you are welcome to dine and stay in College. MAs of the College and those with equivalent higher degrees are invited to dine at High Table. Please look at our website (www.selwynalumni.com) or contact the Catering Department (catering@sel.cam.ac.uk) for details of dining privileges. Members may wish to use their dining privileges at the termly MA Dining evenings (see main events list for dates in 2014). On these evenings, which occur on a designated Thursday evening during Full Term, members may bring one guest at their own expense and the cap on numbers is lifted. Lent Bumps, 25 February - 1 March Women’s Head of the River, 15th March - W1 will be racing Head of the River, 29th March - M1 and M2 will be racing The Henley Boat Races, 30th March: CUWBC and CULRC will be racing. Three Selwyn women rowing and a man coxing on the women’s side expected to represent Cambridge. The Boat Race, 6th April: Expected to see two Selwyn men representing Cambridge either in the Blue boat or Goldie. There will be lectures and other events during the day and the Selwyn Alumni Association Annual Dinner will take place in the evening. Recently restored by Rolfe Kentish (1973), the Keeper’s House at the Royal Academy provides delightful surroundings in which to meet the new Master. Canon Lucy Winkett (1987), RA Chaplain, will say Grace.
All Friends of the Choir and their guests are invited to come and sing with the Choir at Choral Evensong and enjoy supper with them afterwards.

Selwyn College Choir Perform St John’s Passion Enjoy the Chapel Choir in a performance of one of the great masterpieces of all time, J S Bach’s Johannespassion. The choir will be joined by members of the Academia Musica, a selection of exciting young soloists and members of the Cambridge University Baroque Ensemble.

MA Dining Evening
1882 Society Lunch Members of the 1882 Society and their guests are invited to lunch at Selwyn.
Join us for the day at Europe’s largest naval aviation museum. We will have a guided tour, followed by lunch. Graham Mottram (1967) will then talk about his work as the museum’s director.

Dinner to mark Professor John Spencer’s retirement All of John’s students and tutees are invited to celebrate his many years of teaching in the magnificent surroundings of the Old Hall, Lincoln’s Inn.

Enjoy a family day out in the countryside at an award-winning conservation grade farm. Mark Tuffnell (1983) will lead a walk around his farm, the first in the UK to receive an award for barn owl conservation. A buffet lunch is included. Saturday 14 June

Selwyn London Group Annual Lecture
For all those that rowed at Selwyn, come and celebrate the end of the May Bumps with the current crews.
Selwyn Fellow, Professor John Morrill will explore the uniting of the United Kingdom and its future. Drinks will be served beforehand and a dinner afterward will celebrate John’s retirement.

Commemoration of Benefactors
This year’s lecture will be given by Professor John Deathridge, Emeritus King Edward Professor of Music at King’s College London.
All those who matriculated in 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 or who came up prior to and including 1960 are invited to Evensong, followed by a black tie dinner. Accommodation will be available in College.

Christmas Carol Service, London Selwyn College Choir and the Dean of Chapel will lead a traditional carol service in the historic setting of St Botolph without Aldgate followed by seasonal refreshments. Families and guests welcome.
If you haven’t had chance to meet the new Master yet, come and say hello at an informal gathering in the beautiful College gardens. Afternoon tea will be served and there will be activities for all the family. All alumni are invited, along with 1 guest and up to 4 children.
