“If it wasn’t for the bursary I probably wouldn’t be here – my mum can’t afford to pay for Uni and even the full student finance maintenance loan doesn’t cover all the costs of food and accommodation. The bursary makes such a difference to me; it means I don’t have to worry about money and debt day to day and that I don’t have to miss out on things I otherwise would have done. It has meant that I am able to enjoy my time here to the fullest, and my mum and I haven’t had to constantly worry about finances. I really am so thankful to the people who donate to make the bursary possible.” – Second year student, Medicine.
