Yoso,” derived from the Japanese term “要素” (yōso), translates to “element” in English. It refers to a fundamental or essential component that constitutes a larger structure or system. In various contexts, “yoso” can denote an elemental aspect, a basic building block, or a crucial part of a whole. Whether used in scientific, artistic, architectural, or any other domain, it represents an integral piece that contributes to the overall composition or functioning of a complex entity. The idea that underpins the concept is focused on creating a balanced space that distances the users from the imagery of a traditional office and, instead, nurtures creative thinking. The leitmotif is “completing with complement.” The harmonization of materials, colors, and volumes was guided by the syntax: “Most important of all is the balance of all five elements.” This syntax provided the direction towards what the project is shaping today. We chose to use materials in their pure form to enhance the understanding of the laws of nature. Rough stone and oak wood, metal, and glass, symbolizing water, and the sole touch of color encountered in a small quantity, yet with significant weight, is red, representing the materialization of fire. Unique items create the atmosphere in a minimalist space.
