From studded leather to plaid to what was thought of as ‘unfashionable’ at one point, grunge is making its fashion comeback. Throw some dungarees, plaid prints, retro motifs, checks, spikes, crop tops and plenty of sheer pieces and wear it with a big dose of ‘I don’t care’! Shruti Tomar breaks down the fierce ’90s look

T

he ’90s are back with rocker T-shirts, plaid button-ups, and lace-up boots everywhere. Leather is in, from skirts and jackets to unexpected trims on T-shirts, leggings, and dresses. Downtown gritty grunge gets a stylish makeover to prove that some styles are so much better a second time around.

One of fashion’s most memorable eras is grunge and an important part of it is the plaid or tartan pattern which has seen a makeover since it first shot to fame. The strong presence of plaid on the Fall 2013/14 runways has most brands celebrating this print. Designers have used new styles, cuts and creative uses to make the plaid, that actually dates back hundreds of years, look like anything but old-fashioned. Changing the way this Scottish staple is worn, this season sees the vintage plaid in layers, in colour and in feminine cuts. Fall 2013 runways saw designers teaming plaid with pinstripes, tweeds and other eye-catching prints for a chic take on the classic pattern. Models were seen in a combination of the evergreen plaid with the leopard print too. At Marc by Marc Jacobs, the plaid-pinstripe combo was a huge hit while at Tommy Hilfiger, models were spotted in pin-striped shirts and slouchy plaid overcoats.

A runway classic

Stella McCartney’s take was combining a plaid bomber jacket with a pin-striped turtleneck dress. She took inspiration from the classic British menswear for her fall collection to present a mannish, boxy plaid jacket with a colour palette of red, white and green. Céline showcased the same colour combination in an oversized jacket for her label’s 2013 collection which also featured a motley selection of loose-fitted plaid outfits. The soft silhouette of the dropped-shoulder jacket was ubiquitous in the oversized fall 2013 offerings. A plaid-crazy Anna Sui showcased the print from head-to-toe at her fall 2013 show. Similar looks were seen at Moschino and at Sacai where models strutted down the catwalk in two-piece plaid suits.

You can’t avoid fur, faux leather and animal skin texture this season. A look by Diane Von Furstenberg

Givenchy showed us how the grunge leather look can be made glamorous. A floral printed leather jacket from the brand’s season’s collection.

tops. Victoria Beckham is a fan as well; the designer presented an oversized coat with cobalt blue leather panel at her fall 2013 show. No. 21 had another fun take on the print pairing plaid knits and blouses with glittering sequinned skirts, showing us yet another fun way to play up the plaid trend for the upcoming season. Dolce and Gabbana showed a plaid skirt teamed with a complementary gold blouse that looked classy.

Combinations aplenty

Leather complements the grunge look like nothing can. Mix an animal print chiffon top with fitted leather pants for contrasting textures. Animal print bomber jackets too take centre stage this season. Leopard, cheetah, snake and crocodile skin prints are extremely popular. Leather skirts are a huge 2013 trend and can be seen in different colours and varying lengths. Team these up with a jacket and a printed camisole or a racer back top for a military chic look. While these skirts come as sexy, modest, long or short, Fall 2013 demands you try the below-the-knee leather skirt for a new look. Needless to say, every designer loved the plaid, leather and

Grunge becomes glam The grunge look has come a long way from denim shorts and cut-off leather vests of the ‘90s, until now. The revival of this fashionable look sees lumberjack plaid and leather vests to cut-off tees with sweeping floor-length skirts. Grunge is more colourful now and more eclectic and embellished. Moving away from dirty washes and bare threads, the grunge trend today is all about blending the right textures and fabrics. To get the grunge layered-up look, wear a buttoned-up shirt with a leather jacket thrown on top and finish the look with a plaid scarf wrapped around your neck. A slip dress layered with a plaid buttoned-up shirt and Doc Marten boots or the Balenciaga boot makes for a luxe appeal! The key thing in this look is to strike a balance. If you are wearing an oversized plaid shirt, pair it with a chiffon skirt or shorts and add a choker necklace or sparkle belt to polish it off. It’s all about being effortlessly cool.

How to wear • When buying plaid, keep in mind the fabric and its wearability. Sheer silk, chiffon and other transparent fabrics are great for Indian weather. • Layering acts as a huge supplement to this trend whether it is summer or winters. • Plaid pencil skirts are worth investing in irrespective of the season you are in. The look can be updated by teaming it with other trends current to a particular season. • Experiment with colours and steer away from the safe zones of Britainapproved red and black plaid. • Be inventive with this look. Whether you are incorporating plaid, leather or wearing the grunge look, do something different. Skinny jeans and thick plaid button shirts are lame. Go bold with plaid print pants, accessorise with tartan scarves, shoes, collars and bags. Layer with panache and don’t shy away from wearing print on print.

grunge look this season. There is nothing subtle about plaid and the smartest way to wear it is to highlight its strength with equally striking clothing and accessories. The key is to match the hues. Pick up the lightest shade in the colour combination and accentuate it. The classic way of wearing it would be a plaid kilt with a sensuous silk blouse and motorcycle boots or topped off with a leather trimmed jacket. For the bolder lot, pair it with an even stronger pattern such as the paisley.

Midi - a length between the mini and the maxi that actually has the fashion world willing to meet somewhere in the middle. The midi skirt, or the ‘new skirt’ is taking a whole new meaning this season. Shruti Tomar tries to wrap it all up...

T

he new skirt, reaching to the mid-calf and slightly flared, has the elemental silhouette of the late ‘50s and early ‘60s but with a stark modern bent that places it squarely in 2013. The length once seen as dowdy is being lapped up by fashionistas and designers worldwide as a fashion staple. So, abandon all your prudish notions about the midi because Fall 2013 just made it a stylish must-have. Whether it is punked up with leather as showcased in Céline and Acne or smattered with funky prints at Moschino or the loose and long A-line shapes at Balenciaga, the new skirt is a superhit on the biggest fashion maps.

Worn with ankle booties and a ruffled top, this look is bang on trend.

Veni, MIDI, Vici!

Victoria Beckham’s Fall ‘13 collection shows the midi worn tuxedo style with cut-out sleeves. Pure elegance!

Just proportions

Proenza Schouler’s Fall 2013 show is a perfect example of what’s to come. Skirts that hit just below the knee paired with cocoon or cropped jackets and low d’Orsay pumps or kitten heels is just right. Once you have the length right, you simply have to re-proportion everything else. You could start with a top that can be tucked in or is not too far below the waist. Unless you are Gisele Bundchen who would look great even in a sack, you need the definition. A slim knit turtleneck or a V-neck top would look great. If you intend to wear a coat or a jacket on top, reboot your options. A hip-length jacket or a boxy coat that’s above the knee will look unique with this trend. Alexander Wang lead the short, round-shouldered versions of this coat at Balenciaga’s Fall 2013 show that has sent the fashion world into a tizzy. Marc Jacobs, Céline and Rochas also exhibited a warm cosiness of this shape in their collections. How to wear it: A top tucked in shows off your waist and lengthens your figure. It also lends definition so that you don’t look disproportionate. If you are conscious of the tummy, blouse your top so that there are a couple of extra folds of fabric over the skirt’s waistband. A classic pump with a pencil skirt is your first answer. Proenza’s new low-heeled d’Orsays is covetable. Men’s style penny loafers, if you want to go the vintage route, are also a fantastic idea. Do not wear tights with these flat shoes or you’ll risk looking outdated and moreover, completely kill the look. The easiest way out would be to wear stilettos with a flared skirt but it’s a big no-no. Kitten heels or the chunky, stacked-wood-heeled booties that cover your ankles will give this look the right amount of panache.

It is a misconception that a below-the-knee skirt will make short women look even shorter. The important thing here is to wear a skirt that sits on your natural waist with your shirt tucked in and at least a two-inch heel. Ideally, pick nude shoes to boost height. This silhouette will elongate your body. You pull off this length in a dress instead of a skirt as well. This season has a burst of dresses in a myriad range of styles and colours that hit just below the knee. The imperative thing is to feel confident however you wear it.

Midi-vantages

The new midi length is great for those who don’t want to show off too much flesh while still looking hip. Remove your old school skirts if you still have them lying around and give them a trendy makeover. Team with stockings and kitten heels and you’re good to go. Recharge your midi with punchy prints, dipped hems and interesting detailing. Full A-line shapes come to the forefront as we welcome the umbrella skirt into our wardrobes, while a hip-skimming, midi length pencil skirt looks fresh teamed with ankle socks and platform sandals. This longer length, by no means, signifies a stuffy, buttoned-up look. Alternatively, it‘s a great way to play with textures like brocade, leather, lace and jacquard. The midi’s shape also gives ample room to strike varying proportions like crop tops that are also a current favourite on the street style circuit. The success of the midi lies in its appeal across generations. Fashion at the moment is a free mix with some street styles and a minimal, ultra-luxe look – all of which fit in beautifully with the midi skirt.

Oscar de la Renta does the new length skirt with a faux fur twist.

Skirts look great, but knee-length, feminine, fitted and fairly dressed up – now how can that not be in vogue. Rotate your wardrobe 180 degrees from a pant-centric one to a skirt-centric one. With this new-length skirt, new rules apply though. It is vital that the hem hits your leg at the right spot. The sweet spot on every woman is just below the knee where your leg curves in and the calf begins. If you find a skirt that is longer, hem it.

Can you wear this trend if you are a plus size? The answer is definitely. You simply want to create a proportion that complements your figure. Choose a skirt that is wider at the hem, much like the pencil skirt. It is a myth that pencil skirts are all the same meaning that they are upside down triangles which are so tight at the knees that they barely allow the wearer to walk. The skirt for a plus size would be a pencil skirt with an opening that can suit anyone from a size zero to size 12. It’s because of the length it generates on the body and the flattering leg opening. The straight shape will lend balance to a plus-size body.

Fall 2013 for the gentlemen ranges from luxe leather, statement scarves, camo print, cuffed pants to the humble roll neck and gilet. Shruti Tomar tells you what to wear this season

Pair these trousers with a crisp shirt. VAN HEUSEN. `3,499

One of the most popular jackets for this ‘inbetween’ season is the bomber. However, not just any bomber jacket will do; designers and high street collections alike are combining the industry’s current penchant for print with the key outerwear silhouette to create a staple piece that packs a creative punch. Roberto Cavalli wholeheartedly backed the printed bomber. His collection included a wide variety of styles, including a blue and white version with an Aztec-style pattern, along with a blue or purple fade effect patterned bomber, which gave the garment a textural feel. Also seen was a suede one in a beautiful aquamarine tone.

Other designers backing the bomber trend include Dolce & Gabbana, who showcased a printed silk bomber complete with a colourful mural pattern that featured armoured knights in battle. The sumptuous palette of red, gold and blue utilised was extremely rich and helped create a piece that was almost tapestry-like. Jonathan Saunders went for a similar statement approach within his collection

by featuring a vibrant, kaleidoscopic print bomber in bright shades of blue, purple and magenta. Saunders also included an off-white bomber complete with a muted check pattern – perfect for those looking to take a more understated approach. The Calvin Klein collection showcased several bomber jackets with floral prints applied to the sleeves and body in tones of blue and grey.

With the popularity of chinos and tailored shorts only increasing, denim’s status within the industry has decreased over the last few years, especially so during summers. But there are new and exciting ways to integrate denim into your wardrobe.

and denim jackets taking centre stage. However, the material was also used for the construction of formal wear, with a particular highlight coming in the form of a four-piece indigo denim suit that featured a denim blazer, waistcoat, tunic and trousers. Also embracing a smarter approach were Valentino, who showcased tailored suits in sharp Japanese denim paired with crisp white shirts and trainers. The designer collections featured several takes on the denim jacket. Nicole Farhi included a blouson-style version with zip fastening, which was paired with grey tailored trousers. Brands such as Valentino, Louis Vuitton and YMC featured more traditional takes, whereas Acne and Richard Nicoll added a quirky twist through a round neck cropped denim jacket and a stone-wash denim jacket with contrast navy pocket detailing respectively.

Checkered fun It’s no surprise that when a trend becomes popular for women, it spills over to menswear as well. The check or plaid or tartan was visible in menswear collections across global runways. A penchant for colour and print in menswear becomes much more popular and acceptable in Fall 2013, with the return of a louder plaid. After extolling the dark patterns we call shadow plaids, there was a palpable shift to the louder Prince of Wales plaids. It’s easy to pull off this one if you pair it with a quieter shirt and tie. If you don’t embrace the plaid or patterned tie this season, you’ll be sorely dreary. The plaid or checker print might be the boldest colour palette greeting this season. Plaid, flannel shirts will become a basic in men’s wardrobes. They can be worn over long-sleeved thermal shirts for an easy-to-wear day look. To bring the checks into more professional or evening wear, simply wear a crisp button-down in plaid. Thumb rule of checks: avoid pairing your plaid with plaid. Make one piece the star of your outfit and let it speak for itself. Be willing to experiment with colours when it comes to going the plaid way. Get checks that are a mix of colours like yellow and green, blue and orange and other such bright hues.

kids-wear sections that leave you spoilt for choice. Denim fun – No wardrobe is complete without denim and it’s no different this season. Skinny jeans and jeggings (jeans that looks like leggings) are still a popular hit amongst young girls. Not baggy and not skinny, but fitted is more like it for boys. For both boys and girls, a dark wash is trendy although the girls have wider options with coloured jeans in neon shades, brown, purple, cobalt, red and green also being in. Richly embellished jeans with laces, crystals, fringes and studs will also be seen in the coming season. Denim pinafores, jumpsuits and dungarees are making a huge comeback. The athlete – The sporty look scores high this season. Varsity jackets and sweatshirts are all the rage. Girls can easily pair sweatshirts with a cute and feminine skirt or fitted denims. Wearing one over a dress is

also rather fashionable. Younger children will get to indulge in knit T-shirts, capris, layered crop-tops, skirts, tank tops and so much more. Free knit tops as well as jumpers, sweaters and cardigans are tremendously in vogue this Fall. Prints and colours - Prints - and bold ones at that - are going to reign in the coming festive season. Statement prints, appliqués, embroidery will accentuate youthfulness and add the cheerful vibe to kids-wear. Stripes, especially nautical ones and polka dots promise to become the key prints of the season. Colours that will stay in vogue are natural shades like gray, steel, brown, black and white. Bold colours like neons, red, pink, orange, coral, purple and fuchsia will also be omnipresent in kids-wear, especially for young girls.

not? It will never go out of style. Superhero graphic T-shirts, accessories, shoes and back-to-school paraphernalia are in. all spell disaster for your skin. Here are a few simple changes in your skin care regimen that you should make to look great in the coming festive months.

Never go to bed with your makeup on – Before sleeping, make it a point to thoroughly remove all traces of makeup from your face and neck with the help of a gentle cleanser. If you follow a good cleansing routine, your face stays clean of blemishes and acne naturally. To keep your skin the way you like it, wash your face twice a day with appropriate face washes and avoid any harsh cleansers. Use a gentle, foaming facial wash; using soap is not recommended because it may be too alkaline for the skin. The Body Shop’s Aloe Gentle Facial Wash is a good option. A cleanser with salicylic acid may be good if you have a tendency toward acne. For eye makeup removers, go for Clinique, The Body Shop or try L’occitane’s Immortelle Eye Makeup Remover. Remember to use a slightly damp cotton wipe so that it doesn’t drag on your skin. Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise - Apply an oil-free moisturiser in the morning and balance your skin with a low-alcohol toner (The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Facial Toner) during the day, if necessary. If you use a normal moisturiser in the summer months, step that up with a deep moisturising emollient in this pre-winter season. Make L’occitane’s Instant Hydration Mask a regular aid for an extra surge of moisture. For those who are worried about the first signs of ageing, this season is the worst. Try Shahnaz Husain’s Plant Stem Cells Renewing Face Cream to reduce lines and wrinkles and make the skin look brighter. For under-eye wrinkles, which manifest themselves in full glory during the season, try Shahnaz Husain’s Undereye Serum.

Sunscreen – Enough has been said about the sunscreen and it’s still not enough. Always use one to protect your skin. Use special masks and scrubs regularly to slough

off blackheads. Sunscreen should be applied 15-20 minutes before stepping out in the sun as it takes some time for the action to start. It is recommended that to obtain the labelled SPF, sunscreen needs to be applied at 2 mg per sq. cm. If half the recommended amount is applied, you get less than half the SPF protection. Scrub - Oily skin has a hard upper layer, so regular exfoliation is must to keep it soft and to unclog pores. But don’t exfoliate more than once a week in winters. Use a gentle, grainy scrub concentrating on blackhead-prone areas like the nose and chin. The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Cream Exfoliator is an all-time hit. From the same brand, choose the Honey & Oat 3-in-1 Scrub Mask for deep cleaning. A balance diet – Fresh fruits and vegetables and proteins, such as fish, helps your body stay healthy and strong, fight fatigue and resist infection. Water is essential to keep your skin looking hydrated and healthy. Have at least eight glasses a day to moisturise your skin and flush out the toxins. A healthy lifestyle – Yes, it’s the festive season and a healthy lifestyle is tough to follow, but do try to maintain the basics. Too much alcohol, caffeine and cigarettes ravage the skin from inside. Avoid them. Exercise, yoga, and other physical activities will help build strength, energy, and increase stamina. Your body needs time to replenish its skin cells, leaving the skin around your eyes free from bags and dark circles, so make a ritual of sleeping early and having a good eight- hour sleep. Skipping meals or consuming excess festive food combined with less sleep can have an adverse effect on one’s overall health. To make sure you look fresh and vibrant, take out time to pamper yourself.

Body butter is a super-concentrated skin lotion that contains less water and more essential oils than conventional lotions do. Thus, they pack in a moisture punch. Generally they are too thick to be squirted through a pump, so it comes in jars; just scoop and slather. Body butters are mostly made from natural ingredients than other skin potions and they melt into skin, are absorbed quickly and are excellent for smoothing out rough spots like elbows, knees, hands, legs, neck and the feet. Body butter is supposed to be applied in less quantity than you would apply a body lotion. About one tablespoon of body butter is good enough for the legs and half of that for the hands and arms.

onestly, runway makeup during some reasons is plain tacky instead of wearable. Come Fall 2013, OTT creations were put on the back burner while time-tested techniques were showcased with a new spin. Cat-eye liner was flirty, shapely and colourful at Monique Lhullier, Michael Kors, and Jason Wu. Lips were red, naturally, but either ultramatte at Nina Ricci’s or wet glossy at Marc by Marc Jacobs. For those who want to make a subtle statement, the rich wine-hued lips at Louis Vuitton or Derek Lam came through. On the lids, makeup artists pulled out a range of unexpected colours in classic applications like the sculpted pumpkin shadow at BCBG and Prabal Gurung, a diffuse wash of prune at Nanette Lepore and Giles and full-on glitter, mixed into the shadow at Donna Karan and glued along the lashes, liner-style at Chanel. At long last, runway makeup the rest of us can think of wearing!

There’s more than one way to skin a cat and rock a cat-eye. For the classic ’60s version, look no further than Kenzo, Monique Lhullier and Anna Sui. Layered liquid and pencil liners in a dramatic winged shape, then dotted below the lash line for an avant-garde edge was shown. At Christian Dior and Jason Wu, makeup artists added a flash of colour, turning to icy blue and violet, respectively. Meanwhile at Salvatore Ferragamo, Michael Kors, Lanvin and Tracy Reese, liner was nowhere to be found. Instead, diffused almond shapes were blended on with a range of smudgy dark shadows. If spring was all about blue and green, Fall was all about purple. A deep, brownish purple, to be exact. Things started simple and nearly translucent at Nanette Lepore, upping the intensity as the layers built at Giles, Max Mara and Gucci. At Oscar de la Renta, a nearly opaque finish felt urban and sophisticated.

Who among us wouldn’t like a little bling, especially as an eye-enhancing accent? At Donna Karan, MAC makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury mixed pearly glitter into black-grey cream shadow, applying up to the crease with a tapered brush, then using her fingertips to drag upwards to the brow bone (and blot away excess product). At J. Mendel, a glossy coppery shadow was blended just past the crease of the eye for a look that was both simple and luxurious. Makeup artists went for a similar rich-girl vibe at Givenchy. At BCBG and Prabal Gurung, the reddish brown was used as a neutral to sculpt and shade around the eyes, while at Altuzarra, makeup artist Tom Pecheux, working with MAC, blended the shade. “Downward through the lower lash line. It gives a vibrant but diffused strength to the eye,” he said. Another trend that stood out was the gray wash. Forget smoky eyes this season. The slate gray finish on lids this season was sheerer and more mysterious, like a post-storm mist or a moody fog a la Alexander Wang and Derek Lam. Of course, John Galliano took that subtle twist, turned it up, taking that same granite shade all the way up to the brow bone.

Waves ahoy

If you are hoping to look completely effortless and sexy without working hard to get there, then waves are your answer. There is a world of endless possibilities with this hair trend right from looking sensual to sporting the powerful boardroom look. Shruti Tomar tells you how to get the wave in your look

casual wavy hairstyle is best described as soft, free-flowing, full of body and easy-going. The lengths can vary from the shoulders to heavy mono-lengths or messy layer cuts. If you have natural waves, then one simply has to enhance the shape to define the wave or curls more prominently. For those who do not have naturally wavy hair, a little bit of help from curling devices and styling products will do it. Some other techniques to get this look are ruffling, finger-drying and scrunch drying. Either way, this trend is making waves across the hair industry with assured aplomb.

Long length waves

If you have naturally wavy hair, consider yourself lucky! Some women pay good money to get that look. “The truly great thing about long, wavy hair is that there are so many ways to wear it. You can pull off a casual bohemian look or glam it up with a curly updo like a crown braid. To keep things in place and shiny, always finish with a serum that will lock in moisture and add sheen,” advises Looks Salon experts. Create waves with the curling iron or use a styling product while hair is wet and dry it: flip your hair, then with a diffuser dry your hair until it’s 85 per cent dry. Don’t touch your hair too much while drying; touching it often will create more frizz. Let the tousled look dry on its own. If you do not want to use styling products, pile your hair into a high sockbun and sleep. In the morning, you will have soft, romantic waves.

Wash, condition and towel-dry hair, then if you have wavy or curly hair, spritz with spray gel to help set your natural curls. For straight or fine hair, comb a large dollop of volumising mousse through wet hair. For medium to thick hair, apply styling cream to help control flyaways and finger comb it through the hair.

Wavy hair suits any hair type or face shape, especially if your hair is of medium length. Waves in this length add shape and volume. “If you have a round face, part your hair in the middle and let it fall on both sides. For a long face, style waves through the back and the side to add bounce and movement. For an oval shape, sweep layered bangs to the side,” explains stylists from Looks Salon.

Medium length waves For medium-length hair, the wavy look can be achieved in no time. Put your hair in to a messy bun while it’s wet. Once the hair dries up, open it out and sport your messy wavy hair with confidence. Another way to accentuate your waves is by finger-drying them. Dab some mousse through your hair when wet. Run fingers through your hair while you blow dry it. Twirl your hair around your fingers to create more waves. Use a curling iron or even a flat iron to curl sections of your hair in different directions. Once your hair has cooled down, break the curls apart with your fingers. Spritz some hairspray and you have soft waves.

Beachy waves You can have beachy waves without having to spend all day in the sand and surf. There are various ways to get the beachy look. In a snap, use a salt spray. Salt sprays enhance the natural texture of the hair. Spritz a small amount of it on damp hair from roots all the way to the ends of your hair. Scrunch your hair with your hands and allow to air dry. Salt sprays can dry out your hair, so remember to condition and use a moisturising serum whenever you use the spray. Another way is a hair mousse that helps get softer waves or a scrunching gel, which gives you more defined waves. Start with applying a voluminising product into the roots of towel-dried hair. Use the styling product of your choice, scrunching in an upward motion. Blow-dry your hair as you scrunch. Once dry, you can use a curling iron to get sharper waves wherever you want them.

If you already have flawless skin (no freckles, blemishes, discolouration, or uneven tone) you should use a tinted moisturiser. This will add a bit of colour without looking cake-like. have one or use your fingers. Concealer. Search for a concealer close to your skin tone, making sure you don’t choose one that is too dark or too light. If you can’t tell, ask for advice to ensure you get the right colour. Apply the concealer on any zits or redness on your skin, use a small brush to stipple it on and dab it with your fingers to blend it in. Conceal any dark circles under your eye by applying the concealer in a triangle shape. Blend the outer corners of the triangle with your fingers. Don’t forget to conceal the inner corners of your eyes as they are generally darker than the rest of your eyes. Choose a loose (mineral) powder and dab it on the concealed parts of your face with a stippling brush to set the base.

et’s face it; we are a chaiobsessed nation. There is masala chai, cutting chai, angrezi chai, dip-dip chai, ‘little-milk, more-sugar’ chai, ‘more-milk, little-sugar’ chai, adrak (ginger) chai, black chai, green chai, pink chai, white chai, silver chai, Assam chai, Darjeeling chai, Earl Grey chai, lemon chai, chamomile chai, lavender chai – it’s endless! Tea truths Tea comes from the leaves of the warmweather evergreen Camellia sinensis, and it is classified into five types: black, white, green, Oolong and puerh. The list of benefits that tea lends is innumerable. Tea is a natural antioxidant, and rich in vitamins. It contains vitamins B2, B1 and B6 and is also rich in potassium, manganese, folic acid and calcium. The stimulant found in tea leaves is theanine, an antioxidant whose equivalent in coffee is caffeine. It, however, contains less caffeine than coffee: around half the amount. These anti-oxidants help lower blood pressure, reduce risks of cancer, increase endurance, reduce fat metabolism, fight diabetes and lower risk of cardiovascular diseases. Antioxidants found in tea also help repair damaged cells and fight free radicals. At Select Citywalk, the Coffee

Bean & Tea Leaf (CBTL) outlet is a good place to unwind with a cup. Recently, at a special tasting session, Samuel Varghese, Territory Manager CBTL, the expert at the outlet, led an appreciating audience on a fascinating journey to brew the perfect cup of tea. An integral part of the gourmet experience at CBTL, one can enjoy a variety of tea, such as Assam, Estate Darjeeling, English Breakfast and exotic ones such as Japanese Cherry, Genmaicha Green, Tropical Passion and Vanilla Ceylon handcrafted by CBTL’s Master Tea Blender David DeCandia. And if you want a special treat, opt for the Anniversary Blend – a Limited Edition tea, specially designed for 50 years of CBTL. It’s a mix of White tea, Green tea, Black, Oolong tea with the goodness of berries. “CBTL only uses premium whole leaf tea that releases its full flavour into the water during the steeping process resulting in the most flavourful cup of tea,” said Varghese.

Tea for health Did you know that green tea can help you see better? And it is considered to be the healthiest of the lot. Studies have found that green tea components positively affect the tissues of the eyes, especially tissue related to the retina. It also helps reduce fat formation in the body. That being said, one should not confuse green

tea extracts with bottled tea beverages that are full of added sugar. For the real deal, boil water and add the good old-fashioned tea bag or even better, loose tea leaves. The fountain of youth, though, is in white tea. It has a very high polyphenol count and inhibits wrinkles by strengthening collagen and elastin, the two factors that govern wrinkle formation. White tea also helps keep joints strong. Black tea is a great stress buster for those leading hectic lives. A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that six months of black tea consumption lowered systolic blood pressure.

Tea facts ●

Freshness & Storage - To ensure a fresh tasting cup of tea, store the leaves in an airtight container in a cool, dry, dark place to protect flavour and aroma. Loose tea - Full leaf teas impart the finest flavour characteristics to the water; whereas broken or crushed tea found in tea bags often impart bitter qualities to the tea. Water - Use cold, fresh bottled water. Bring the water just to a rolling boil. Pour the boiling water over the tea leaves into a pot or a cup that has been preheated. Proportion - Accurate measurement is important in brewing the perfect cup of tea. In general, use one level tablespoon of loose tea per tea cup of fresh, cold water. Adjust according to personal taste. The following infusion times are suggested: Green Tea - 3 - 4 minutes, Black Tea - 3 - 5 minutes, Oolong Tea 7 - 10 minutes, Fruit Melange Infusions - 7 - 10 minutes. Be careful not to over infuse leaves or your tea may become bitter.

There are several interesting facts associated with tea. Did you know that you can use tea leaves to read the future? Yes! Just leave a small amount of tea in the bottom of the cup along with some tea leaves, and after stirring the remains three times, the pattern you’re left with will tell you what’s in store. Darjeeling tea is known as the champagne of teas and is one of the most highly-priced tea varieties in the world. Oolong tea, a Chinese and Taiwanese tea with a fruity aroma, is also often called Dragon’s Tea: these tea leaves, when put in teapot, often start to look like a dragon. The world’s most expensive tea is an Oolong tea: it’s called Tieguanyin, and its leaves cost up to $3,000 per kilo. Yin Zhen or Silver Needle is the most highly prized of white teas. It comes from China, and takes its name from the leaves used to make it, which are harvested when they’re young and still unfurled, and look like needles. In England, at 11 o’clock in the morning, the English take a break with tea and some cakes. This break has been coined ‘Elevenses’. Another interesting idea out of Great Britain, tea replaced gin as the drink of the masses, and became the nation’s favourite beverage. Mix gin and cold tea, flavour with little lemon rind, and you’ll get a great summer cocktail. Here are five good reasons for not giving up tea, even if you don’t drink it; tea helps to heal shaving cuts, eliminates bad odours when added to a foot bath, can be used to marinade meat, is a great fertilizer for roses, and is also good for cleaning floors. Tea leaves are a natural means of keeping mosquitoes away. All you have to do is use slightly damp leaves to add the scent of tea to the areas you want to keep insect-free. Tea is an ancient beverage, yet one with

Toddy time Warm and toasty and just in time for winter, the Hot Toddy is a classic warming drink. Most black and green teas mix well with the sweetness of honey and lemon, but from there it’s a personal preference and some interesting toddies are possible. Here’s an easy one: Ingredients: 1 cup hot tea 1 Tbsp honey

very modern health benefits. After being consumed for more than 4,000 years, it has changed very little. It’s been served hot, it’s been served cold. But now tea is being served in a style that suits the most frantic lifestyle - you can get it to go. How to Brew the perfect cup Choose the water: Use fresh water each time you prepare tea. Tap water should be avoided due to municipal water treatments, which add chlorine and fluoride and can greatly affect the true flavour of your tea. Choosing your water is the best place to start if you want to improve the taste of your teas. Prepare cups of tea side by side using different sources of water and taste the difference. Choose the tea: Choosing the best tea is not always easy. Grocery stores generally only carry tea bags filled with low quality tea leaves. Health food stores are more likely to carry teas marketed as gourmet but typically have a limited selection of average tea. When it comes to buying quality tea, visiting a tea house is a great place to start, sampling different varieties. This ‘try before you buy’ method of discovery is always fun. Choosing a reputable supplier is important. How much tea should I use? As a rule of thumb, use one to two teaspoons per eightounce cup and gradually add more tea to achieve the briskness and body of your choosing. For best results, be sure to allow room for the water to circulate between the leaves for best results regardless of which

brewing apparatus you choose. Water temperature: Apart from choosing the best water and tea leaves, water temperature is the most critical element in preparing the perfect cup of tea. Regardless of which apparatus you choose to boil your water, remember to follow these guidelines when starting out. Heat the water in a glass, ceramic or clay teapot until it reaches a boil. Then allow the water to cool before brewing your tea. Guideline: 180 degrees for green tea, 190 degrees for Oolong tea and 200 degrees for black tea. This is especially important when preparing delicate green teas. These temperatures can be increased following successive brews. Quality teas can often be steeped twice or thrice. Steep time: After gauging the proper water temperature, the tea leaves are steeped in the water. Steeping tea leaves should be allowed to set still during this process because excess motion can cause the release of more tannin, which can lead to bitter tasting tea. Do not steep tea for too long before serving when brewing in a teapot. Many newer teapots have basket filters that can be removed after the tea has steeped for the recommended time. Start with one to three minutes and gradually increase the time to your preferred likeness. Serving Tips: Host a tea-party with assorted tea sandwiches and other snacks prepared ahead of time. Use a tea warmer to keep freshly prepared tea warm for refills and be sure you have mastered your preparation techniques. This is no time for guessing.

Stay Fit, Stay Young Fitness trends never cease to surprise. While it’s great to look young, it is more important to be healthy. Shruti Tomar puts on her running shoes to discover the latest ‘fit fads’

64

sept-oct 13

T

here is a lot happening in the world of fitness. While some are going back to basics, there are some using new age technology to stay fit and healthy. Here are some ways to sweat out:

High intensity exercise

‘Facerise’ is not having a comeback in the crusade to look young or rather in slowing down the effects of growing older. What is happening instead is people are becoming aware of hormone replacement therapies; they will start to realise that high-intensity exercise produces hormones that are the fountain of youth. High-intensity exercise causes the body to release more hormones, such as human growth hormone (HGH) and insulin-like growth factor that are responsible for increasing lean muscle mass and also have anti-ageing benefits. While most forms of exercise are good for your body, high-intensity training seems to offer the biggest turn-back-the-clock bang, so instead of buying pricey HGH injections, focus on two to four workouts of this type of strength or cardio training a week. An ageing population, plus the trend toward more vigorous workouts, has made the need to stretch and maintain flexibility more important than ever. No longer confined to yoga and Pilates classes, you’ll find mobility exercises integrated into warm-ups and throughout workouts as preparation and performance enhancers for all kinds of strength and performance exercises.

Tech-fit

The Internet is definitely not lacking in fitness videos and how-tos, and the selection is only going to increase as fitness professionals and studios maximise the streaming and live capabilities of the Internet to reach more people. Websites are offering live or streaming online workouts, classes, and training sessions, and trainers just need to tap into the power of the web to work with clients in other cities and countries. Combine all of this with the evergrowing list of fitness apps out there, and soon you may find yourself logging your last workout stats on your smart phone.

Trade those shots for squats

Instead of hitting the bar after work, groups of friends and colleagues are hitting themed ‘fitness parties’. Some women invite guests to come sweat with them at their birthday and bachelorette parties as a healthy way to celebrate. People are getting bored with the usual drinks and dinner and as everyone

is becoming more health-conscious, innovative experiences that help reach health and weight-loss goals are popular.

Rejuvenation a must

This year the emphasis will be on blending intense styles of training with soothing, restorative ones, as regeneration and rejuvenation are shifting to become integral parts of a workout. Programs are also becoming more comprehensive and progressive to meet everyone’s demands. The consumer has grown so savvy and is looking for ways to challenge their minds, develop new skills, and improve their fitness level in more compelling ways, while still looking to be able to sustain their workouts over the long haul.

Back to basics

Forget complicated exercises where you lift a dumbbell, twist your body, and move your feet all at once. Bodyweight moves such as squats, push-ups, and jumps of every variety are back in vogue because you can do them anywhere and hit all of the major muscles in the body, plus they’re dynamic, can be performed faster than lifting dumbbells or a barbell, and increase both strength and endurance. This ‘back-to-basics approach’ also includes retro-style training techniques, such as crawling movements, jumping jacks, and one-arm push-ups. The more one learns about what works, the more you realise that many of the old-school training concepts, like climbing ropes, push-ups, bear crawls, dead lifts, and hill runs, are some of the most effective ways to train.

Shopping! Sounds like Greek?

If Greece isn’t on your bucket list already, we reckon you put it there. The gorgeous white sands, the bluest oceans, the Mediterranean sunshine, the ancient ruins and the incredibly hospitable Grecians; couldn’t ask for more? But there is more. Read on as Shruti Tomar tells you why Greece is a must-visit for shopaholics

ou thought, ‘oh Greece’, historians and fossil-diggers go there, but think again. The country, especially Athens, is teeming with chic little boutiques, stand alone mega-stores, mini-markets, agoras (chief marketplaces), kiosks, you name it. All the European brands, renowned multinational chains as well as traditional Greek arts and crafts are at your disposal to gorge on. The question of where to shop is usually a tough one to tackle. But in Greece, it’s made easy.

Athens, shopping parádeisos

Athens is a city full of surprises for those who wenjoy shopping. On its labyrinth-like streets, you will find over 2,500 shops selling all kinds of ware from local herbs, jewellery, gifts, urban garments, coffee houses, tiny bars and modern restaurants. A visit to the delightful Plaka district, leaving aside some rather kitsch souvenir shops, will open your eyes to the great traditional arts and crafts of this country. Have no doubt that Greece is a great place for shopping sprees. For those of you who have to leave with lighter wallets, head to Ermou Street, starting from Syntagma Square and ending at Monastiraki. This is a super shopping spot and is convenient for shoppers with a walkway for pedestrians. This street tosses up mainstream consumer goodies; clothes, jewellery, shoes, cosmetics, gift shops and a host of wardrobe needs. Yes, Ermou Street is shopping paradise for the ladies.

Get to the lower end of Ermou Street towards Monastiraki and it’s a whole other story. Head here for urban wear and drench yourself in original street-style labels, some designed by renowned graffiti artists. Oh, and don’t miss out on some local colours when you walk through the Monastiraki Flea Market. This is a great place for those seeking collector’s items, vintage records and other quirky memorabilia. The colourful Athens’ Central Market or agora is a must-see too. Purchase local herbs, spices and condiments here as there is a wide selection available at great prices. The hectic, colourful Athens agora also referred to as the Varvakios Agora is the highlight of the vibrant Athen’s market district. It’s a sensory and gastronomic delight, with an amazing range of olives, spices, cheeses and deli treats. The tavernas in and around the market are worth seeking out. At the other end of the spectrum is Kolonaki, where those looking for sophisticated and up-market trends should head. Now, if you are a department-store type of shopper, there are some really impressive stores to choose from. But it should be noted that Greece has not been terribly influenced by the international trend of large-format shopping malls over smaller shopping centres. The Greek tend to hold on to their old-fashioned ways and shop in boutiques and neighbourhood stores a lot more than larger, more impersonal setups.

Greek for retail

Stores to check out are Christoforos Kotentos, a hot local designer whose evening and casual clothing range is sold in Milan, New York and Tokyo. Designer Vasso Consola is also based in the same warehouse. Another place to definitely go to is Shop, located at the gritty end of Ermou Street. This store has two levels full of trendy international designer street wear brands such as Energie, Carhart and Miss Sixty for the young and young at heart. Bettina, the chic boutique has three levels of top-name fashion, including creations by Greek fashion queen Sophia Kokosalaki, Angelos Frentzos and other well-known local and international designers. A tiny store called Koukoutsi is a must-visit for grunge-lovers with a novel range of graphic T-shirts and accessories, including its original designs featuring Athens’ architectural landmarks and funky T-shirts by international designers. Tube is yet another store that has an interesting range of edgy youthful women’s fashion at this emerging alternative (and affordable) clothing precinct on busy Solonos, heading west from Kolonaki. Last but not the least for sure, check out Luisa. Fashionistas and dreamers will love the A-list international designers at this superchic emporium, including Roberto Cavalli, Gaultier, Missoni and Chloé. One of the biggest shopping malls of Greece, the Mediterranean Cosmos is located a few kilometres from the town of Thessaloniki. Visit Tsimiski Street in Thessaloniki for your share of designer fare.

Grecian charm

Jewellery shopping – the gold and silver jewels are worth a tour as Greece is famous for its traditional designs. Several shops located mainly in Syntagma and Kolonaki areas have a myriad collection of ancient Greek (Above) Spices being sold at a shop in Athens and a street shop sells local jewellery and other items

jewel replicas along with modern pieces. In a lot of Athenian shops, you’ll spot filigree made of silver and turquoise. A must-see for jewellery lovers is the Ilias Lalaounis Museum of Jewellery that exhibits over 3,000 designs. Present there are 45 collections representing the history of Greek jewellery, which was influenced heavily by the art and architecture of 11 different civilisations, by nature, by biology and by technology. Souvenirs, handmade crafts, bronze vases, copper utensils, clay and ceramic artefacts are just some of the things that one can indulge in to get a sense of the rich history of Greece. The perfect place for Greek ceramic and pottery art is Maroussi, where one will find several shops with designer-potters selling their fare. If you are headed to Fira, Santorini Island, definitely visit Fabrica, Nick’s and Kostas Antoniou for jewellery. The collection of silver jewellery here is unlimited. In Crete Island, you will spot a lot of traditional products for those with an affinity for the arts and crafts. With a civilisation as old as Greece’s, one cannot help scouring for antiques when here. A huge variety of antiques and antiquated ware such as furniture, hand-painted wooden trunks, miniatures and decorative items are sold in different shops in Kolonaki, Syntagma and Monastiraki.

(Clockwise from top) Greece is famous for its traditional cuisines; Athens is a fabulous destination for highend retail therapy with the presence of almost all international brands and on the other hand, street-side shops here offer antiques and quaint products

Miss Peaches & cream Former Miss Sri Lanka Universe, Jacqueline Fernandez stands out as an exotic diva. The pretty actress took some time off from her busy schedule to chat with Sayanti Banerjee about her beauty secrets

Jacqueline from the song Jadu Ki Jhappi from the recent film Ramaiya Vastavaiya

Thought Jacqueline always had such flawless skin? She had to fight acne to get her porcelain-perfect look

A

ppearing as the pretty genie, Jasmine, on the silver-screen with her Bollywood debut Aladin in 2009, Jacqueline Fernandez made lots of hearts flutter. Her popularity increased with her list of movies; from Murder 2 (2011) to Housefull 2 (2012) and Race 2 (2013). With lots more coming her way, the porcelain beauty shares a few tips and tricks on how to look as gorgeous as her. Did you always have great skin? No way! My skin has been very sensitive and acne prone. I had to take treatments in the past in order to deal with my skin. So I am very careful about my skin care regime like cleansing, moisturising as well as maintaining a healthy lifestyle like eating right and exercising right. With constant travelling, how do you get to achieve that balance? It can get hectic sometimes, specially while on the sets of a movie or a commercial. The working hours can leave you with no energy.

But I still try to do my bit of stretching and yoga when I can, drink lots of water and fruits to keep myself hydrated. I try to catch a power nap in between. What about giving in to cravings? Of course, I am a human being and will have cravings. But that does affect my skin heavily when I go off my routine and indulge in chocolates and high-calorie food. Do you experiment with hairstyles as well? I prefer keeping my hair simple as a lot of styling products go in everyday at the shoots. A spa or a quick ritual is nice when I find time. In fact, I really don’t mind cutting my hair short if it requires me to do so for playing a particular movie character. It would be fun to experiment for a film and not randomly. Any beauty regime you follow? I usually prefer to get facials done from a dermatologist I have known for a while ever since I came to India. His treatments are more therapeutic than a beauty ritual as it leaves me with a feel-good experience.

Here are the Bollywood flicks to watch out for in the coming months and Sayanti Banerjee tells you why you must head to the movies! ber

Shuddh Desi Romance

Zanjeer

Mickey Virus

(Sep 6, 2013) The remake of a popular film always adds to the excitement of the audience. So the yesteryears’ Amitabh Bachchan starrer Zanjeer is now going to hit the silver screen in a more glamorised avatar with Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. The good cop chasing the bad goon is what the masses love always.

(Sep 13, 2013) A name that sounds intriguing in itself, it marks the debut of television anchor Manish Paul on the big screen as an ace hacker who is carefree but skillful at his job. But his ‘heart disc’ gets affected when Kamayani steps into his life and a romantic thriller starts spinning with comic interludes. Directed by Saurabh Varma, this film has a new-age outlook and should be a fun watch.

(Sep 6, 2013) This romantic comedy sets out to explore what happens after love and before commitment takes place. Directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra, there is a quirky fun element about it. The young breed of actors, Sushant Singh Rajput, Parineeti Chopra and newcomer Vaani Kapoor, look fresh and convincing as real-life characters. The laws of attraction are explored in this modern world and through believable circumstances. The promos look exciting and colourful with catchy lyrics of songs like Shaam Gulabi, Sehar Gulabi in an upbeat mood.

r

Octobe

Besharam

(Oct 2, 2013) As the name suggests, it promises to be an all out entertainer. Directed by Abhinav Kashyap, the rock star of Bollywood Ranbir Kapoor plays the character of Babli who is a car mechanic from Delhi but is a super cool, street smart guy. A quirky comedy with a hint of romance and tender sentiments.

Boss (Oct 18, 2013) Another action drama starring Akshay Kumar who tries to display his macho quotient once again. Directed by Anthony D’Souza, the film has Aditi Rao Hydari, Shiv Pandit, Johnny Lever, Ronit Roy and Mithun Chakraborty. The hero in this movie is actually a goon with a golden heart, almost inspired by Robin Hood and has all the elements of a super hero. Here is Akshay Kumar in his ‘khiladi’ avatar yet again.

All that we did...

Independence Day Tri-coloured fervour took over the shopping centre as Select CITYWALK celebrated Independence Day! Saffron, white and green rose petals, the iconic chakra and flags strewn all over the mall brought in forgotten patriotism in the air. This Independence day, shoppers came over and did their bit to contribute to the nation. There were six NGOs participating and patrons had the opportunity and the freedom to bestow, hope, adopt, run, alleviate and thrive with these six NGOs. Here’s a look...

Events that took place at Select CITYWALK

African fest

With beautiful sculptures, paintings, memorabilia and more, Select CITYWALK celebrated Africa Week! There is so much about Africa that was experienced and was also exposed to our patrons. With gala performances, exhibitions on the arts and crafts of

Africa, the culture and ethos came out beautifully at this African Fest. Citywalkers came and experienced the rustic wild charm of the African lands far away right here in Delhi. The fest took place between the July 3rd – 6th at Select CITYWALK.

Friendship day This Friendship day, Citywalkers got clicked at Select CITYWALK and told the world in big bold letters – Yeh Dosti Hum Nahi Todenge. Customers participated in the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf contest and a lot of them won free cups of coffee. There was also a Twitter contest with exciting prices for participants. Special and fabulous offers from a multitude of brands at Select CITYWALK made this Friendship Day an even better experience for those who decided to share their day with us at the shopping centre. We truly celebrated the bond of friendship.

Kargil Diwas

Select CITYWALK commemorated Kargil Diwas on July 26th. A wall dedicated to all those soldiers who passed away, the Amar Jawan Jyoti, and symbolic chakras, here’s a glimpse at the tribute we paid to the war heroes of Kargil! Boards displaying brave mottos of die-hard soldiers who gave their all in the service of this nation were all over the shopping centre. ‘I only regret that I have

but one life to lose for my country’, ‘I am a soldier, I fight where I am told and I win where I fight’, and many such quotes were on display. There was another wall displaying ‘Words for the Brave and Words by the Brave’ telling Citywalkers about the sacrifices that soldiers have made. The mall was dressed in camouflage and there hung a sense of gratefulness in the air throughout Kargil Diwas.

Fashion and shopping

What’s not to love about an event that has all things beautiful for you to partake in. Select CITYWALK along with Cosmopolitan magazine held the Cosmopolitan Beauty & Fashion weekend. There were makeovers for those who wanted to look different, pampering sessions for those who were stressed or simply needed a pamper-me session and a whole load of fun for all those who walked in. A lot of style tips and beauty measures were doled out for the ladies and participants, who we can guarantee, had the time of their lives at the Cosmopolitan Beauty & Fashion weekend. Check out all the fun and excitement above.

Janmashtami The Janmashtami celebrations at Select CITYWALK were a treat. Lladro had an exquisite set-up that put out Lord Krishna’s idols and so many more decorative elements related to the occasion and its meaning. One could pick and choose their favourite idol or an item that reminded them of their favourite tale about the naughty Lord Krishna. Earthen pots with butter flowing out, Lord Krishna with his Radha, Lord Krishna with his ‘bansuri’ and so much more was there for devotees. Lladro, on its 60th anniversary, paid its holy tribute to Lord Krishna.

What

YOU think, feel & say aboutus

It’s always nice to hear our patrons tell us how much they love Select CITYWALK and how it makes them feel. We do try our best to help your experience at the shopping centre be one that you won’t forget and one that makes you feel special. Here is how our patrons showed us their love with their encouraging words! “This is about Select CITYWALK! It’s a mall that I absolutely fell in love with from the time it opened - but as time went on - I realised it is indeed a very valuable place to hang out in! You know, it’s a huge comfort zone for me. Whenever I come here I feel engulfed with a lot of security, a lot of comfort, a lot of warmth, a lot of courtesy and the customer service is outstanding. The staff everywhere, especially you know where ever you go – I am talking about the concierge, the P1 level, a boy called Himanshu, who helps me with my bags, the staff in the washrooms, and your involvement with stray animals. I am talking about everything. to the point where my son was in

‘ 80

sept-oct 13

Max Hospital admitted with dengue and I used to escape from the hospital everyday and come here just to be comforted in a place that is so genuine, comforting and loving. I feel very secure here - even if I am stuck here and there is nobody to pick me up , the customer service would help me with a cab and make sure the cabbie would not fleece me. So this is it, thank you so much - this is lovely. Thank you!” Shopper Madhu Nagrath talks about her love for shopping, entertainment and Select CITYWALK! Check out what she has to say about her favorite shopping destination! “I am a regular here, it’s almost like my second home and I love the mall! I think it’s one of the finest malls I have come across, not just in India - but even internationally. I think it’s a super smart mall. I say that because of various reasons - security, safety, the right blend of, you know, vendors and brands you have selected - a whole lot of things. And not just the interiors but also the outdoors - which is kept so clean and green - the parking area, you know all of that. I think it’s a super smart mall - I live here every single day - I am here for a couple of hours every single day!” Shopper Reeti Sahai talks about her love for shopping, entertainment and Select CITYWALK! Check out what she has to say about her favorite shopping destination!
