New December Holstein Releases

December Sire Summary Report Eight Holsteins, sired by seven different bulls, add diversity to Select Sires’ daughter-proven lineup following the December 2018 sire summaries. New graduates 7HO12659 PASSAT (+2667 GTPI ® ), 7HO13253 VERTEX (+2614) and 7HO13244 CREED* (+2592) prove their strength as top-30 TPI sires on Holstein Association USA’s High Ranking Sire Report. With elite standings in Net Merit (NM$) and Dairy Wellness Profit Dollars (DWP$), PASSAT daughters are tailor-made for modern, free-stall environments. With more than 20,000 observations and a +2.0 Sire Conception Rate (SCR), VERTEX combines sire fertility and big production (+2,052 Milk). CREED tops Select Sires’ new graduate class as the highest combined fat and protein sire (+154) and a type improver (+2.23). The new class also represents a huge influx of A2A2 sires to the program. Additional breed leaders for TPI, include 7HO12266 YODER (No. 6, +2720), 7HO12421 MILLINGTON (No. 9, +2686 TPI) and 7HO13250 JEDI (+2660).

Within Select Sires’ Super Sampler lineup, 34 sires, sired by 17 different bulls, are at least +900 NM$. This combination of elite genetics and diverse family lines spells profitability. The newest young sires continue to lead the industry with impressive rankings in TPI, NM$ and DWP$ with sires like 7HO14364 EISAKU* and 7HO14451 BIG AL highlighted as leaders.
