The following document is an attempt at " rethinking housing ". It explores the concept of 'easily accessible open spaces. The parti of the housing project initated from the case studies where it was noticed that housing societies designed largely in the Delhi NCR became redudant and deteriorated after a certain amount of time. With the idea of including public participation as a tool to regenrate degrading societies, planning has been done in order to provide room for ‘placemaking’.
To instill public participation in the community, the first step towards regenerating social interaction was taken by providing “Easily Accessible open spaces”. The idea was to provide connected or common open space areas in which people would come across each other everyday and eventually start a conversation.
