Four types of apartment units are formulated to meet the basic needs of the elderly and children, who have a large age span, while taking into account the time difference between parents who leave early and return late. The whole community is divided into two parts from the middle, and corridors are used to connect the two parts and the activity space of each floor. The activity space no longer only exists on the platform of the first floor, but more flexibly runs through the horizontal and vertical of each floor. All units in the community grow like mountains.

This project tries to give the elderly and children a more comfortable living environment, so that they can communicate directly at their own doorstep without going to the first floor of the community for activities. At the same time, with the growth of the residents, the community can also be constantly vibrant through the growth of the unit.

With the growth of age, the height scale and activity scale also change. The older the age is, the smaller the activity range is, and the slower it is. Children have more energy to run and jump.

Small scale elderly child

The most basic apartment for the elderly and children, with minimal space and low furniture height.

Courtyard-style elderly child

The basic unit for the elderly to take care of children. In the cuboid house type, the furniture is mainly of low scale.

The courtyard-style unit promotes neighborhood communication between different households. When the same family uses it, parents' activities in the evening will not disturb other people.

The duplex unit uses a home elevator to connect the upper and lower spaces, which reduces the disturbance caused by the differences in family life to a certain extent in terms of time.
