Traditional Opera Narrative Architecture

Time:09,2022-10,2022

Tipe:personal project

Translate the four emotional development processes of the heroine Du Liniang in the traditional Chinese opera "A Dream in the Garden" into architectural language: The oppression brought about by locked boudoir——A glimpse of the freedom brought about by spring——The joy of meeting the lover in a dream——The decision to pursue oneself after waking up

The drama is no longer limited to a small stage, but also an immersive interactive experience. The changing space model brings different experiences of emotional atmosphere. The narrative order and development change with the change of the path

Insert a role-playing cross tube inside the training institution, and design different vocational skill unit spaces for the small world of role-playing. In the cross tube, two free shuttle paths connect all units.

The mode of the training class will not be so boring. Compared with instilling book knowledge to primary school students, letting them learn slowly in practice will stimulate their interest and creativity more.

Building reconstruction

Reconstruction of Tama Art University Library

Time:02,2019-03,2019

Tipe:personal project

Try to change the thickness, height and density of the arch, and try to give more experience to the internal space without changing the basic appearance of the building; Brushed glass is placed inside the building and interspersed in it as a vertical gray space.

The reorganization of the grid and the change of the arch make the original free functional space more rhythmic. Functions are no longer only implied by furniture. The change of the atmosphere and scale of the space itself can adapt to more different needs.

If the arch structure creates a cement forest, the newly placed glass gray space is a big tree that freely grows and shuttles through it. The new gray space meets the needs of free communication, and at the same time, it is like the light shining into the whole forest.

The number of tourists visiting the library during the holidays has increased, and the library has become a place for parent-child interaction.

Mainly college students and employees, there is a great demand for reading and learning in the opening and graduation seasons.

Design concept:

The stretching action of knitted fiber creates a new free gray space, which is also reflected in Taichung Opera House.

Ground Floor Overhead

New overhead space on the ground floor brings new large activity places, making the building grow into a floating forest.

Roof Settlement

The roof of the second floor sinks to serve the height change of the arch on the second floor.

Grid Reorganization

The grid on the second floor transitions from dense to sparse, the arches transition from low to high, small to large, and the reading function transitions from private self-study to open reading.

Generation Of Arch

The holes of the arch change with the grid, the height and width make the façade and interior space more like a growing forest.

Grid Reorganization

The function of the grid on the first floor is reorganized, the wall thickness of the arch is gradually changed, and part of the wall is hollowed out.

Vertical Glass Gray Space

The vertical glass body is inserted in the middle of the building to bring more light, and the gray space brings new reading and communication space.

Shell Gray Space Space Volume

The glass shell is inserted to form a new semiopen space on the outside of the building.

The glass shell is connected to the longitudinal glass loft, and the gray space grows upward at the bottom of the building and wraps it from the inside out.

The functional grid on the first floor is re-divided, transitioning from inside to outside by functional areas, semi-open communication areas and semi-outdoor corridors. Changes in the wall thickness of the arch structure create new spaces and bookshelves.

Variations of the arch

The larger and wider the arch, the higher the height, the more open and free the space; on the contrary, the narrower and shorter the space, the more private the space and the more specific the function.

Type of arch

In addition to continuing the original sheet arch structure, adding the classic cross arch can create a lower and more wrapped private space, which can be used as a personal study room.

Longitudinal traffic Hollow space

After the arch foot is thickened and thickened, it will span one or two floors and become a longitudinal traffic tube inside. The arch structure extends longitudinally and is no longer limited to horizontal development.

When the thickness of arch structure is increased, the inner hollowed space becomes a new private space, the through space becomes a traffic tunnel, and the half hollowed space is used as a bookshelf.

Tama Art University Library Renovation

On the basis of not changing the original arch structure of the library, try to change the hole size, height and wall thickness of the arch structure, and reorganize the plane grid. The new glass overhead ash space will be placed to create a new forest space in the vertical direction and inside and outside of the space.

Through the glass tube, light is introduced into the room, and time seems to solidify

The glass tube itself forms a new gray space. The semi open gray space creates a different atmosphere for reading and communication. The whole building seems to float in the air.

Dynamic community

Community focusing on the elderly and children

Time:11,2020-12,2020

Tipe:personal project

Four types of apartment units are formulated to meet the basic needs of the elderly and children, who have a large age span, while taking into account the time difference between parents who leave early and return late. The whole community is divided into two parts from the middle, and corridors are used to connect the two parts and the activity space of each floor. The activity space no longer only exists on the platform of the first floor, but more flexibly runs through the horizontal and vertical of each floor. All units in the community grow like mountains.

This project tries to give the elderly and children a more comfortable living environment, so that they can communicate directly at their own doorstep without going to the first floor of the community for activities. At the same time, with the growth of the residents, the community can also be constantly vibrant through the growth of the unit.

The loft form is suitable for families where parents leave early and return late and have a large time difference with the elderly and children. To a certain extent, it reduces the noise and interference when activities such as entrance and exit, washing and gargling occur.

Courtyard-style

The traditional courtyard style is more in line with the older generation's concept of community living, and the possibility of intersection of different households in the gray space in front of the courtyard increases.

When used in the same family, separation can reduce the interference of parents' time difference to a certain extent.

The overall indoor furniture and space scale are relatively small, and the house types are mainly distributed in the lower floors of the community.

Small scale old with young

The square standard apartment is mainly provided for families where the elderly and children live, because many parents choose to work in other places for high salaries.

lCongregate residence

The scattered units have the possibility of extending and growing horizontally. The leisure grey space in the building is no longer confined to the first floor. It exists in each floor. In front of each house, it can be just a few square meters of space in front of the courtyard house type, or a large transparent terrace vertically spanning three floors, or a roof playground and swimming pool.

As the community continues to change from generation to generation, more specific functions of these gray spaces will change with the use process.

The cross floor space at the side of the building gives residents more possibilities for interaction, and the elderly and children need such a buffer space.

The atrium space is composed of negative shapes of scattered balconies, and you can see the corridor connecting each floor of leisure space.
