BEV DOOLITTLE (AMERICAN, B. 1948) Becoming a regional sensation known for traveling throughout America’s great Southwest, Bev Doolittle captivated a wide audience for her Native American inspired, Western-themed art. Her realistic viewpoint and mastery of watercolors serve as the foreground for camouflaged images providing great depth to her work. One moment the viewer may see a wooded landscape and the next, the eyes of a native spirit, or water trickling over rocks might become a horseback hunter.

The Gashouse Gang of the 1930’s was the epitome of America’s pastime. The East Coast newspapers criticized the club for not looking like major leaguers, their nickname even being a reference to blue collared workers of the time. The brash, rough-n-tumble, yet charismatic team was personified and led by Joe Medwick, the National League’s last Triple Crown winner and MVP in 1937. That same year, Joe Medwick propelled the Cardinals to victory over the Detroit Tigers in the World Series.
JOE MEDWICK'S 1941 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL CONTRACT A National League of Professional Baseball Clubs Uniform Player's Contract between Joseph Medwick and the Brooklyn National League Baseball Club, Inc. Signed by Joe Medwick and Brooklyn Baseball Club, Inc. president Larry MacPhail, and dated September 30th, 1940. Estimate: $300 - $500
Items offered include signed memorabilia as well as Joe's personal items such as team contracts and home run balls. Opportunities for collecting Major League Baseball and Cardinals collectibles, passed down from Redbird royalty through family descent, are almost as rare as the Triple Crown itself. HISTORIC 1937 JOE MEDWICK HOME RUN BASEBALL The 29th home run ball hit by that years Triple Crown winner of Major League Baseball's National League. Hit at the Polo Grounds in New York City, home of the New York Giants, on August 31, 1937, in a 8-1 Cardinal winner. Estimate: $400 - $700
HISTORIC 1937 JOE MEDWICK HOME RUN BASEBALL The 22nd home run ball hit by that years Triple Crown winner of Major League Baseball's National League. Hit at Sportsman's Park, St. Louis, Missouri on August 7, 1937. Estimate: $200 - $400
