Notated verso, and original stretcher stamped “Chevbery Guichardaz,12 et 19 Rue Campagne-Premiere, Paris”. Sight: Frame: 28 9/16"h. 36 1/8"w. Stretcher: 21 5/16”h. 28 ¾”w. Estimate: $10,000 - $15,000 Provenance: This work is archived and inclusive to the artist’s catalogue raisonné being classified in 1947 and titled "Les Farmes Vues a Travers les Pins" (Farms Seen Through the Pines). In 1950, the painting was part of the Stockholm Exhibition at Gallery Moderne and the reference Stockholm No. 3 was listed with the title "Paysage Rythme" (Rhythmic Landscape). Sold to private collectors in the early 1960's by the Director of Brentano's Gallery, New York. From the collection of the late Ann Stringer, persevering WWII reporter and wife of New York Times celebrated photographer Henry Ries.
