saidThiolina,whoalsochairs YayasanIstriSuamiAnak(Isana) Dewata,anetworkofsurvivors ofthe2002Balibombings.

Thiolina,whoisleftwith permanenteyeinjuriesinthe attack,saidthatbythetimethe graphicfootagewasshown,she hadalreadylefttheKuta memorialafter thecommunal prayersession
“Wewarnedthem.Ididn’tknow. Thatevening,afterthe communalprayer,wewent home.Ifoundout[thatthe footagewasplayedanyway] afterreadingthenewsfrom manyjournalists,”shesaid.
Mournerswhoattendedthe20th anniversarywere understandablyshockedbythe decisiontoplaythetriggering footage.JeffMarshall,wholost hisfatherbecauseoftheterror attack, toldABCNewsthat “it’s

Inastatement,aspokesperson oftheAustralia’sDepartmentof ForeignAffairsandTrade said thattheyare“deeply disappointed”bythedecision fromtheorganizerstoshowthe videoandwill“formallyregister” theirconcernstoIndonesian authorities.
