Take the first steps to a career in network management by pursuing a CCNA certification. By completing this certification you will broaden your skill sets, and ability to manage and optimise network systems. The CCNA certification is a stamp of approval for associate-level professionals interested in networking. Within the Associate level there are several specialisations: Design, Voice, Wireless, Security and Service Provider Operations.
Equipped with a CCNP certification, you are ready to manage today’s complex networks – whether its working with core technologies, optimising infrastructure, or keeping key applications secure and performing efficiently. Move to one of the following Professional Certifications: Network (CCNP), Voice (CCNP Voice), Security (CCNP Security), Design (CCDP), Wireless (CCNP Wireless) and Service Provider (CCNP SP Ops or CCNP SP Eng).
The expert level is one of the highest certification levels for Cisco professionals, this is where the CCIE Certifications are achieved and true experts are born.

Service Provider
A service provider’s agility and flexibility in service delivery are critical to its long-term success. Most large service providers need the flexibility to offer residential, business, mobile and wholesale services. Next Generation Networks (NGN) are being implemented globally as a means to radically change the cost base, agility and service capabilities of Service Providers: the key enabling technologies include IP, MPLS, ADSL, Metro-Ethernet, SIP and H.248. The Cisco IP Next-Generation Network (IP NGN) architecture provides the intelligent, secure and scalable infrastructure that serves as the foundation of the collaborative and consumer led network of the future. From this flexible and scalable base, service providers can build their unique business models, expand their service portfolios and transform themselves into providers of a network and service that enhances the way we live work and play.
56

Expert Level Certification has been available for a number of years, but there has never been a comprehensive certification track dedicated to Service Providers. This is however changing and Cisco Systems’ announcement of a path from Associate to Expert level, designed for professionals who need to manage, maintain and troubleshoot complex service provider IP NGN core network infrastructures, confirms that. These certifications were designed to develop a pipeline of qualified individuals with a deep Operations expertise for IP NGNs and to influence the changing job roles and requirements of the service provider industry. Service Providers are challenged to adapt and evolve their network operations expertise to address and manage IP NGNs by introducing these industry-leading Service Provider Operations certifications. Cisco have provided both a curriculum and a means of validating the expertise to meet those challenges.
CCNPŽ Service Provider Certification The CCNP Service Provider certification validates the knowledge and skills network professionals are required to have in order to deliver a scalable carrier-grade infrastructure capable of rapid expansion to support ongoing introduction of new managed services and other customer requirements. A service provider’s agility and flexibility in service delivery are critical to its long-term success. Most large service providers need the flexibility to offer residential, business, mobile and wholesale services.
