disABILITYsa partnered with St. Philip's

College (Nursing Education and Disability Support Services) and Texas A&M University – San

Antonio to provide the disability community with access to all the necessary information regarding the vaccine and ensure an easy process with availability and accommodations on campus. Through this partnership, campus initiatives including Vaccine Provider Workshops, Vax-abilitySTRONG Community Conversations and Accessible Vaccine Clinics were made possible. Co-hosted by members of disABILITYsa and our college partners and facilitated in collaboration with representatives from the health sector and vaccine provider community, Vax-

abilitySTRONG Community Conversa-

tions offered conversational forums around the COVID-19 vaccine. The conversations were open to the disability community, students, and others in the public sphere and to provide information to those who still have hesitancies and questions about the vaccine. The conversations offered ASL and Spanish interpretation and ensured a supportive and inclusive space for everyone to participate. The week following the conversations, disABILITYsa also provided an on-site Accessible Vaccination Clinics at the same locations. Coordinated with local vaccine providers and supported by specialists providing services to the disability community, the clinics provided the disability community and others in the community access to receiving a vaccine. Communication support included Spanish and ASL interpretation and communication boards. Other support services included ABA Therapists, and lowvision support volunteers. Through collaborations with St. Philip’s College (Nursing Education and Disability Support Services) and Texas A&M University - San Antonio, program activities were supported by valuable input from faculty and staff, and students volunteers served in support of the community events.
