Senior Living Development Growth New Entrants to Senior Living: From 4Q2014-2Q2019, according to NIC Property Inventory data, the senior living industry added 1,478 new properties to the MSAs that NIC tracks 68% of those properties added were from operators that had a portfolio of 2 or less properties
Q4-2017 was a record-breaking year for numbers of units under construction and construction as a percent of inventory 43,826 units and 7.3% CVI
243 or just 17% of the 1,478 newly constructed properties were from operators with over 10 properties
