If you have something of value to offer them they would start to wonder why you're NOT giving them the opportunity to purchase the product. As you build your list it's very important to offer them valuable content that they can immediately use. Start an Affiliate Program - What you want to do with an affiliate program is bring on people (affiliates) who are going to tell the world about your products. This is a great way to build up some income through your information products. Yes, you will need to pay 'affiliates' for their effort but not until after a sale is made in most cases.
An affiliate program also isn't a quick and easy solution to selling more products. A profitable affiliate program takes an effort of time, energy and effort but it can pay off huge. If you have a look at any of the 'GURU' launches that go on in the internet marketing world you will notice that very few of them happen without the power of joint-ventures or affiliates. If you're on any number of lists of the big internet marketers, you'll notice this when you start getting a dozen emails all about the same new product coming out. Submitting Articles to Directories - If done properly, submitting articles to targeted directories is a great way to build up some incoming traffic to your website and also helps with your incoming link building. You want to make sure you write informative articles on the topic your product is about and then link directly to a sales page or sign up page for that product. Don't just send people to your main page through your article bio - make sure you give a clear action step to turn those readers into newsletter subscribers, buyers, etc. These are just a few ideas for getting your information product sales going. The most important thing to remember is that there is no secret and it's all about finding what works for you. Make sure you have processes set up to test and track, test and track. I know it sounds boring and I can tell you I ignored testing and tracking for years MUCH to my own loss - don't do the same!
