This project call, 'How to Make' has a various merits. This is because users are not only purchase the product, but they also can create its new styles, as well as new values while they are using it.

FL 01 "FL01" provides manuals and its parts for users. It is simple and easy for users to assemble the parts by using ordinary house tools. In addition, "FL01" made of reasonable materials. It also shares the prototype of the product with other consumers and they can make it themselves by buying reasonable amount of material.

FL01은 가구를 만들 수 있는 부품과 설명서를 제공한다. 사용자가 집에서 사용되는 흔한 손도구 만으로도 쉽게 조립할 수 있도록 최소한의 구조로 이루어져 있으며 합리적인 재료를 사용하도록 디자인 되었다. 또한 소비자가 제품을 구입하지 않고 스스로 재료를 구입하여 제품을 만들 수 있도록 조립 메뉴얼을 공유하고 있다. 좋은 제품은 그 제품이 쓰여지는 과정에서 새로운 의미가 더해지고 때로는 그 의미가 전혀 새로운 것으로 변하기도 하면서 계속 유지되는 순기능을 가진 제품이다. 따라서 좋은 제품은 쉽게 버려지지 않으며 이런 기능이 제품의 지속 가능성을 만들어 낸다.

‘How to make’프로젝트는 단순히 제품이 구입되고 쓰여지는 것이 아니라 소비자를 조립하는 과정에 직접 관여시킴으로 소비자와 제품 사이에 새로운 의미가 발생할 수 있도록 유도하는 프로젝트이다.

Pasta is medium of memory.

"La pasta storia" is a project that mom can read a storybook for their children while they are cooking with this product in the kitchen. This product consists of various pasta and provides simple character making manuals as well as short tales. Parents and their children will make a character together before cooking and parents will be able to tell the stories to their children at the same time. Thus, it helps them to have better communication each other. As a result, it would give them good childhood memories with their parents.

The designer points out that the purpose of this product is to help parents and children to have a good relationship. Generally speaking, family members communicate each other while they are having a meal together. It causes family members to share the memories and life matters. Pasta is an ingredient. It will be cooked and be served as a meal. However, "La pasta storia" is reinterpreted as a memory connections between the family members.

'La Pasta Storia'는 아이가 잠들기 전에 부모가 동화책을 읽어주는 행위를 식탁으로 옮겨 온 프로젝트이다. 여러가지 종류의 파스타로 구성된 이 제품은 풀을 사용하지 않고 캐릭터를 만들 수 있는 메뉴얼과 동화를 제공한다. 아이의 부모는 이 파스타 제품으로 요리를 하기 전에 캐릭터를 만들고 이야기를 들려주며 아이와 커뮤니케이션을 하게 되고, 결과적으로 이 커뮤니케이션은 아이에게 부모와 함께한 유년시절의 추억을 제공하게 된다. 디자이너는 파스타가 가진 의미를 추억 생성의 메개체로 재해석 했다. 파스타는 식재료이다. 식재료는 곧 음식이 되고 음식은 식탁 위에 올려진다. 식사자리에서는 사람들과의 커뮤니케이션이 이루어지면서 이야기, 추억이 발생한다. 이 과정에서 파스타는 곧 추억을 만들어주는 매개체라고 재해석되며 그 수많은 관계들 중에서 부모와 아이와의 관계에 집중했다.

Enterprises produce enormous contents for their PR and never hesitate to invest for their PR. However, what enterprises do it for their consumers? Do they invest for their consumers honestly?

They should make new contents for their consumers and also try to find the way to communicate with them.

This project call 'Guerrilla creative project' is to provide new way of communication. This project combines public contents and guerrilla marketing strategies. Enterprise organizations provide the contents on public purpose, and people encounter with benefits based on the contents. Accordingly, value of enterprise organizations are improving. To sum up, 'Guerrilla creative project' is not only for enterprises' profits, but it is also for public benefits.

기업은 자신의 PR을 위해서 수 없이 많은 컨텐츠를 생산하고 있으며 이 컨텐츠를 위해 어떠한 투자도 아끼지 않는다. 하지만 정작 소비자, 대중을 위해서는 어떤 투자가 이루어 지고 있는가. 이제 기업들은 대중을 위한 컨텐츠를 마련해야 하고 그 컨텐츠로 하여금 대중과의 새로운 커뮤니케이션을 모색 해야 한다. 게릴라 크리에이티브 프로젝트는 이러한 새로운 커뮤니케이션의 일환으로서 공공을 위한 컨텐츠를 게릴라마케팅 법과 결합시킨 프로젝트이다. 기업은 공공의 목적성을 띈 컨텐츠을 대중에게 제공하고 대중은 이 공익을 위한 컨텐츠으로 하여금 이슈를 만들게 된다. 이 이슈는 자동적으로 기업의 이미지 상승으로 이어지게 된다. 결과적으로 게릴라 크리에이티브 프로젝트는 공공의 목적성뿐만 아니라 기업의 이익 창출로 이어지는 순기능을 담은 프로젝트이다.

Fake Sticker public service advertisement in Seoul, S. Korea KCC Paint 2010

This is very dangerous behavior that people lean against the car door in the subway. In fact, most of passengers rely on the car door in order to read books or relax without realizing the haphazard accidents in the subway. This is a campaign to inform and protect people from the accident. “The wet paint” sign stickers will make people not to lean against the door as people in general think that doors have been painting. Therefore, this project purposes for people to smile by touching human sense indirectly. 지하철 출입문에 몸을 기대는 것은 안전사고로 이어질 수 있는 위험한 행동이다. 그러나 사람들은 아무렇지도 않게 지하철 문에 기대어 쉬거나 책을 읽는다. 이런 위험한 행동을 막기 위한 공익광고를 생각했다. 마치 지하철 이용객들 출입문에 페인트를 칠하는 중 인것 처럼 착각하게 만드는 스티커를 부착하여 출입문에 기대지 못하도록 유도 한다. 직접적이기 보다 은유적인 표현으로 사람들이 미소 짓기를 희망했다.

Although Seoul is a great city, there are poor and slum areas in the city of Seoul. However, these areas are still important for people who live. This project is a Restoration Campaign by drawing green leaves on the old cracked walls. It is a method that ultimately gives a breath of life to the old wall.

Designer wishes to provide beautiful lane way for children who live by keeping the same atmosphere. 서울도 서울 나름이다. 소위 달동네라고 불려지는 지역들은 곧 무너질 것 같은 낡은 가옥들이 즐비한 낙후된 곳 이지만 주민들에게는 소중한 삶의 보금자리이다. 이 캠페인은 달동네의 낙후된 환경을 개선하는 공공 캠페인이다. 벽에 남겨진 세월의 흔적, 보기에 흉하기 만한 균열에 나뭇잎을 그려 넣어 오래된 벽에 새 생명을 불어 넣는다. 달동네 아이들이 놀이터 삼아 뛰어 놀 좁은 골목길을 화려하진 않지만 그들처럼 소박하고 아름답게 만들어 주고 싶었다.

Bastone Bastone's design is inspired by the figuration of broomstick at the corners. It can be placed on the corner like a broom in your home. This is due to the fact that V-shaped structure supports stable standing at every corner of the walls.

'bastone'는 우리가 일상적으로 구석진 곳에 빗자루를 세워 놓는 현상에서 영감을 얻었다. 이 시계는 빗자루처럼 구멍을 뚫지 않고도 쉽게 세워 놓을 수 있다. V 자 형태의 구조는 어떤 모양의 벽이나 코너에 안정적으로 세울 수 있도록 디자인 되었다.

But we already use them in many ways and can’t stop using them. Besides, although we definitely know to separate food waste, we throw all the rubbish away carelessly. In this reason, these vinyl gloves would be a good idea to use them one more time and another way. After using vinyl gloves, you can pick all the rubbish except food waste up and turn them inside out and tie up as a garbage bag. It looks like a very simple knot idea but quite helpful and not disposable anymore. 최근 환경보존의 중요성이 날로 높아지면서 일회용품 사용에 대한 문제점도 높아지고있다. 하지만 생활 속 일부분으로 깊숙히 들어온 일회용품을 쓰지 않기란 매우 힘든 현실이다. 따라서 본 제품의 취지는 일회용품을 한번 더 사용하도록

유도하는 것이다. 또한 단지 사용횟수를 늘리는 것에 그치지 않고, 분리수거의 형태로 사용성을 좀 더 부여하는 것에 초점을 두었다. 한번 쓰고나면 버려질 일회용품이지만 약간의 디자인 요소를 첨부하여, 환경오염문제에 조금은 다른시각으로 접근해 보았다. 우리는 요리를 할때 음식물쓰레기와 일반쓰레기는 반드시 따로 분류해서 버려야 함을 잘 알고있다. 하지만 음식물 에서 나온 일반쓰레기를 잘 알지 못하거나 혹은 무심코 음식물쓰레기와 같이 버리는 일이 빈번하다. 이러한 점 에서 본 제품은 사용자가 요리를 한 후 음식물에서 나온 일반쓰레기를 분류하여 같이 버릴수 있도록 유도한다. 디자인적으로는 장갑 끝에 봉투고리를 추가한 것에 불과 하지만 이

Angolo 'Angolo' is a watch that shows groundbreaking ideas.

Generally, designers have been focusing on the happening in between tacking and minute hand. 'Angolo' is changing its design consistently by connecting tacking and minute hand with a line. As a result of connecting line in between tacking and minute, 'Angolo' creates a various rectangular geometry as time goes on. Analog watch is a concept of lines only whereas 'Angolo' is a concept of surface.

Angolo는 새로운 방식의 시각을 알려주는 손목시계이다. 디자이너는 시침과 분침의 사이에 생겨나는 새로운 해프닝에 주목했다. 시침과 분침 을 연결하는 선을 그리면 삼각형이 만들어지는데 시침과 분침이 각자의 원 운동을 할때 마다 이 삼각형은 시시각각 자신의 모양을 변화시킨다. 이전까지의 아날로그 시계가 선에 의한 나타냄이라면 Angolo는 면적의 나타냄이다.

Oblique Chair 01 OBC 01 is the first chair of Oblique Furniture Project.

The chair is made up of oblique angles instead of straight lines.

By avoiding typical design, irregular shape of the sides gives users relaxation as well as formative esthetics.

우리가 흔히 사용하는 많은 종류의 가구들은 사 각형이나 원형의 일정한 틀에서 벗어나지 않는다. 그것들은 보통 단편적인 직선나 곡선을 차용하고 있을 뿐 왜 그런 형태가 되어야 하는지 설명해주지도 않는다.

‘Oblique furniture Project’는 이런 암묵적인 룰에서 벗어나는 일종의 반항적 운동의 일환으로 계획된 프로젝트이다.

OBC 01은 Oblique Furniture Project의 첫번째 의자이다. 이 의자는 직선 대신에 사선에 의해 이루어진 구조로 디자인되었다. 이 사선들이 조형적인 긴장감과 안정성을 함께 느끼도록 했다.

Oblique Storage Oblique Storage has an asymmetric rectangular form and it has been designed to be specific rather than other figures. It can be displayed either vertical or horizontal way depend on the user’s mind. A single hook which is on the side and bottom can be used as a hanger for clothes or begs.

Oblique Storage는 서로 다른 각의 경사면으로 그 구조를 이루고 있다. 이 경사면들은 사용자에게 기존 직사각형의 형태보다 더 특별한 경험을 제공한다. 사용자는 필요에 따라 가로 또는 혹은 세로 프레임으로 연출할 수 있다. 측면의 다리들이 이런 행위를 유도하며 가방이나 옷등을 걸어 둘 수 있다.
