UAT METHODS USED FOR WEB DEVELOPMENT ALPHA TESTING This testing method is conducted in a development environment by the internal staff consisting of testers and developers. Alpha tests are also conducted by specific potential user groups

BETA TESTING It is a testing method where users (known as beta testers) will test the beta version of a software product. This product is almost at a finishing stage and with certain modifications, it can be released in the market.

CONTRACT ACCEPTANCE TESTING Testing of a developed software is done against certain specifications and criteria, which are agreed upon and predefined in a contract. The project team defines the specifications and relevant criteria for accepting at the same time when the contract is agreed by the team.

REGULATION ACCEPTANCE TESTING In this testing method, the software is examined in order to know, whether it complies with the regulations or not. It is also known as compliance acceptance testing. This includes legal and governmental regulations.

OPERATIONAL ACCEPTANCE TESTING The test cases make sure that the workflows are in place to allow the system or software to be used. Workflows for security checks, various maintenance processes, user training and backup plans should also be included.

BLACK BOX TESTING Certain functionalities are analysed by this testing method, without even the testers knowing about the internal code structure. Black box testing is a part of user acceptance testing.
