FIVE STEPS REQUIRED TO PERFORM USER ACCEPTANCE TESTING THE VALUE OF DEFINITION OF DONE (DOD): The criteria should be defined and clearly written down in order to ascertain whether the specific section of the software is complete.
PUT FEATURE REQUIREMENTS IN PERSPECTIVE For each feature, the requirements need to be written for the purpose of testing. The medium and artifacts for these features may vary. Features can also be collected in the form of user stories.
DEVELOPING THE TEST CASES Based on the functionality requirements and DoD, the test cases for each feature need to be created. A test case is a sequence of steps with each step providing expected results.
INITIATE THE PROCESS OF PERFORMING TESTS When the test cases are put in place, the next step is to perform the tests. For each one of these test cases, specified actions are executed by the tester and then the results are recorded accordingly.
