Firstly measure the room to calculate the floor area in square meters. For example, 5m x 3m = 15m2
Multiply the area by the watts per metre squared figure: 100W per square metre for well insulated homes and 150W per square metre for older uninsulated homes.
Then check the Serene heater wattages from this catalogue. Should the calculation fall between heater sizes, choose the larger size to ensure the most efficient operation.
Example: New home, well insulated. Room size: 5m x 3m. 5m x 3m x 100W /m2 = 1500W (minimum for Winter Comfort)

INCREASE THE WATTAGE ON THE ABOVE CHART BY 25%.
Bathrooms often require more heat, quickly but for a shorter time. Many users also want their bathroom to be heated to a higher temperature, normally to around 30° Celsius. All Serene bathroom heaters are 2200 Watts or above but our S2069, S2078 and S2088 models have an automatic step-down thermostat feature that reduces the wattage to 1200 Watts when the bathroom reaches a temperature of around 30° Celsius.
