Malaysian travel industry players have certainly made a mark at the international level. The country has been adjudged winners in four categories in the 2018 PATA Grand and Gold Awards.
The awards by the Pacific-Asia Travel Association (PATA) honours industry players for outstanding performance in four principle categories, namely marketing, education and training, environment as well as heritage and culture.
The awards ceremony, which will be held at the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre in Langkawi on Sept 14, will see contestants from countries such as India, Hong Kong, Thailand, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
