SD-CD Submittal 2018-2019 A new custom home project for a client with property just outside of Blanco, Texas. The concept was a modern ranch style home “compound” where the rooms and programs (Living/Dining structure, 2 Bed bunkhouse/guest house, master bedroom structure, garage) were divided into private structures on the site. Horizontality and views are placed at the forefront of the design to highlight the beauty of the site and allow for fluid motion between structures. I operated in the Project Architect role in this project, working through SD and DD with Arthur and the PM, and managing the development and production of the CD set. Concept - SD visualization 2020 This was a conceptual design and SD package we developed for a client looking to build a boutique hotel on property in Fort Worth, Texas. Our team operated as the architects responsible for implementing the master plan (produced largely by the landscape architect), arranging the buildings to a degree, but mostly designing the structures to be situated on the site. The design incuded a clubhouse/restaurant, a cafe/poolhouse, several 4-12 bedroom casitas, and a larger lodge building with 40+ rooms. I operated mostly in capacity as design support for the casita buildings, as well as production on drawings, renderings, and concept/study models. DD-CD Submittal 2020 A new build on a large, heavily wooded plot in the Spanish Oaks neighborhood of Austin. The program is organized in several gabled volumes (2 Bed kids wing, master bedroom wing, central living/dining volume, garage, “Grandma suite” with exterior entry, sports court) that weave their way through the trees and situate themselves to allow for the best natural lighting and views the site offers. The client had a realatively condensed design and documentation schedule which required our team to produce a full DD submittal, followed by a CD set in a matter of a few months. I essentially operated as a PA helping get the DD and SD modeling and documentation done so the project could begin construction on schedule.
