When I started Thread and Barrel I wanted to focus on making accessories that were trendy, fun and inspired by my home state of Kentucky. When you venture off the main thoroughfares in Central Kentucky, you can take turn after turn through winding country roads, finding yourself lost until you come upon a county sign welcoming you in. It’s those surrounding counties and country drives that inspired the names of the scarves in this fall collection lovingly named- Backroads. Consider this lookbook a field guide, a fashion guide. Envision yourself cozy in a coffee shop or at a football game, betting on the ponies or running through a corn maze with a Thread and Barrel scarf keeping you warm and fashionable. Meet the Fall Line: Backroads

Inspired by morning country drives in central Kentucky, the fall line is named after counties close to home.

Franklin

Woodford

Fayette

Madison

Lets Be Basic You whisper the word fall and visions of pumpkin spice lattes , apple orchards and cool weather dance behind someone’s eyes. There may be other seasons but fall wins them all. And let’s get real here- it’s really about the fashion. Boots. Sweaters. Leggings. We’re about to crawl back into the depths of closests, pull out our long lost long sleeves, wear leggings out in public instead of just for watching TV and can now accessorize ANY outfit with a scarf.

Scarves.

Thread and Barrel is your new fun, trendy and ever so southern fashion BFF. Speaking of BFF’s.... Let’s introduce you to the ladies on these pages!

Emily

Kaylee

Mackenzie

You’ll find Emily amongst these pages sharing her infectious smile (there’s rarely a time around her we’re not cracking up) She also knows how to rock a vest-scarf combo that makes us have hearts in our eyes!

Our cool collected sister can rock red lipstick and a jumpsuit better than anyone we know. Make sure you check out her polished and poised styles!

M is unofficially dubbed our in-house model! We’ve got her gorgeous smile and rockin’ style to inspire bringing maxi skirts to fall fashion.

“I am so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers” “

-Anne of Green Gables

For those Franklin (Grey) Days We LOVE this outfit that Kaylee is rocking because it shows off her unique and polished take on the Franklin scarf in grey! While most people wear the infinity scarf doubled over, Kaylee is wearing it open here, which totally elevates her style.

From class to work, there are few places you won’t look absolutely perfect in an outfit like this. Pair the jeans, tall boots and relaxed top with a bag (like the Epiphane bag above) that has leather accents or a hat (the one above is from Target) to pull the whole look together.

(Almost) Better than Bourbon That may be a bold statement but the Woodford blanket scarf can be mixed with as many things as bourbon and won’t give you a headache the next day. Snaps to that! Being the only blanket scarf in the collection- the Woodford is sure to be a fall favorite! Style wise, try trading out those beach maxi skirts for some made of cotton knit! We’re confident this skirt in any color (like the wine one here) and the Woodford scarf will make heads turn.

It’s a new season, a perfect opportunity to do something

Keeneland season

It’s

In the rolling hills of the Bluegrass, we count down for Keeneland. Churchill Downs may be known for fancy dresses and huge hats but Keeneland has a more casual style all it’s own. Whether you come out for tailgating, betting on the ponies or a little bit of both, the next few pages will show you how to incorporate your Thread and Barrel scarves.
