APC Build a Better Data Center Event Guide What is the Build a Better Data Center Event in a Box? The event in a box is a new way for APC to make events easier for our partners. The event kit contains all of the elements necessary to hold a successful event with your end customers including a call-to-action, an agenda, an event sign template, a presentation and event invitations. All of these elements are customizable with your contact information and logo making them both personalized and professional. Why should I hold an event with my customers? Cisco has been making great strides with their data center strategy in the past two years and their solutions require adequate power and cooling infrastructure in order to perform properly. You are in a unique position to offer the Cisco solution to your customers and serve as a trusted advisor on the associated infrastructure requirements of these advanced technologies. Your customers need to know that you have the relationships with both Cisco and APC to ensure a smooth implementation of their Cisco solutionsand you will increase your margins at the same time! What is included in the event in a box? Each event in a box will include the following: 1) One APC InfraStruXure Building Block set which will be shipped to your site along with literature for your event. We ask that you display this set for your event and then raffle it off at the end of the event as a give-away. 2) A customizable agenda template 3) A customizable event sign template 4) A customizable email marketing invite 5) A customizable direct marketing invite 6) An APC powerpoint presentation for your APC rep to use at the event Examples from the Email Marketing and Direct Marketing pieces available for download from APC’s Online Marketing Center:


So, how do I get started? 1) Engage your APC sales rep to determine a date and location for your event. 2) Your APC sales rep will work with the APC Partner Marketing Team to submit the event for approval and determine if marketing funds are available. 3) Your APC sales rep will work with you and Cisco to secure a Cisco speaker for the event. 4) Once you receive event and funding approval, you may download assets from the APC Online Marketing Center. Please consult your partner page under the Sales & Marketing section for instructions on using the Online Marketing Center and setting up an account. 5) Invite your customers and help to drive attendance to the event. 6) Hold the event and begin increasing your APC attach rate (and margins) to Cisco data center deals!
