member of the Metro Conference, an independent school sports league. We field interscholastic teams in soccer, basketball and track. Additionally, our students enjoy participating in the tennis, bowling and table tennis clubs.
MUSIC
Music Music plays an important role at the Windsor School. We have talented singers as well as instrumentalists. Several of our students also attend Pre-College programs at Juilliard, Mannes or Manhattan Schools of Music. They participate, along with many others, in our music programs. Our music department is headed by Mr. Stephen Josephs, former Director of the 77th Army Reserve Command Band and a longtime teacher of Music with the New York City Department of Education. Mr. Josephs works with beginning as well as accomplished students to produce several concerts each year. Students are able to take required or instrumental music classes. We are also able to provide an academic foundation in an understanding and supportive atmosphere for those international students enrolled in Pre-College music programs. Many international students require ESL support as well as flexible schedules for practice and private needs.
