1 Manderley Institute Academic Projects\Y3 Manderley Institute is a Film School informed by the spacial and psychological ideas of Alfred Hitchcock and the architecture of his films. The school has been designed for 20 postgraduate students who are fascinated by the craft of Hitchcock films. It has been designed in a way where they can learn and live on their campus. The concept of my project is formed by the architecture of Hitchcock’s film Rare Window. In terms of the quality and the organisation of the space. Hitchcock and the voyeuristic theme of the rare window and its tension between watching described the physical world as a dark and frightening, violence and unstable place through which is represented in form of my design where it can explain the moodiness and characteristic of Hitchcock. Manderly institute provides individual workspaces for each student within the library where they can isolate themself with their thoughts and work. Two public cinemas have been located within the existing lighthouse buildings which each can accommodate 170 guests during the film festival period. Cinemas, Cafe and the Gallery are open to the public which can be reached through the courtyard.

5 Professional Project FREEHAUS Work Experience Project The project is located in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in London within a listed 19th-century Church and the late 19th-century community, classroom building. FREEHAUS were in early stages of developing the design and planning I was involved with the design development, Repapering and for the design planning application review and site model making. I designed a proposal for an extension between the school and the church to create more teaching and meeting spaces. As part of my project, I have designed a detailed roof structure between the existing community building and the church. The key challenge part of the project was to design a roof which where could respect the zigzag shape and the detailed elevation of the Church with the straight shape of the school elevation which has been designed and developed through model making and sketches and received very positive reviews on the pretension day.
