However, they could open it with one small finger if they applied the force in the correct direction.
So to get into what this book is about, we need to ask that first major question- “What do you mean by launching your product?” The way the human brain works, it is very easy to get into a perpetual cycle of preparation that will never get you past the first

stage of trying. That is pretty dangerous, and is not what we are aiming to do here. A much more effective method is “pulling you towards a date”. So, your basic stages to getting your product launched areGet that date when you are launching decided, and written down in a prominent place. Give yourself a date that you are going to launch something. Add a couple of weeks to make sure that it is a realistic timeframe. Then literally tattoo it on your forehead (I will not take liability for this!). THIS IS THE DATE THAT YOU GET YOUR PRODUCT LAUNCHED. It is imperative that you do this to get yourself ready for the steps that need to be taken to have a fantastic launch day. The steps that you’ll need to take before that launch date are: 1) Getting as many affiliates on board as possible before you go live in order to get a serious amount of excitement going. 2) Having done all the preparation necessary to have one loud BANG on launch day! 3) Encouraging as many people as you can to promote your product on its first few days after launch. The first few days are critical to a successful launch. 4) Picking up momentum, and keeping it for as long as possible. We’ll look at ways to do this. 5) Posting a lot in different forums related to your product to make yourself an authority people trust and come to for advice prior to launch.

Get to know a couple of them, talk about your product, and how it’s going to change the world, get them on board, and start building your affiliate list (see later for ways to contact affiliates). So remember, give the client five chances, and bite your tongue, or go dip your head in the freezer to calm down before you make any comments. Iron them out, make sure the paths are well laid out, and smooth to follow THEN be ready for problems that you had no idea could happen. Always keep a cool head, and appeal to the adult in the customer. You need a good product and a sales funnel. In another book, I’ve provided an overview of the different types of sales funnels, and the advantages and disadvantages of each. I very much suggest you get yourself a copy of it, as it is a key to earning a lot of extra income. A sales funnel is like a shopping aisle. You need to walk the client through the potential products that will help them while they are in your “store”. Basically it’s the process of the client coming to your page, making the decision to buy, being offered other potentially beneficial products to buy, and then getting the product they originally ordered. The buyer is in “buy mode” and so there is always the potential to sell them a complementary product to increase their happiness. You need to remember, a rubbish product will usually result in a high refund rate. This will directly affect YOUR happiness level so make sure that the product you are selling is as good as you can make it. Get some joint venture connections to get the process started. As sometimes it may be better to have 50% takings on a product that will sell many more than just the original product. Also, you might want some connections so that you can upsell or down sell other people’s products and get a commission on their product instead of potentially double your preparation time by making a second product.

Let’s have a look at the bunch you have to choose from. The Quickie Maybe it’s your first time doing this, or maybe you are juggling multiple products. Whatever the reason, this is the kind of launch that is little announced, and is just slipped into the thread to fend for itself. It is a private launch that you don’t have a parade for. Reasons for doing this kind of launch might be: No time, no resources, or no inclination to make it bigger.

When the actual product is not good enough to garner the support of the affiliates, you might choose to go it alone. This might be a Private Label Rights (PLR, meaning that it was made by someone else, but you are legally allowed to sell it as your own) release. There might be other reasons that it isn’t suited for a big launch. For example, it might be a niche market. You have only mailed this announcement to your own list, and not asked others to email it to theirs. You might ask some close associates to partner, or affiliate, but it’ll be a pretty basic affair. Done correctly, but not with a massive amount of effort. The sales will be less on these kinds of launches, but the upside is that the effort is less too. Also if there is enough material, you can launch one of these kinds almost every week or two. This makes up for the lesser amount of money you can make. The Big Flash in a Pan Launch These kinds of launches are aimed big and are intended to get great sales. The only point is that they are limited in time by nature. If you are a guru (remember, anyone can be a guru, it just takes character, charisma, and (sometimes unfounded) self-confidence) in some area, and are ready to offer a coaching team then this is the kind of offer you need. You’ll do a seven day “limited place” offer where you literally cannot take on more clients because of the time

requirements of each one. Or you might only have a limited number of items to give away anyway, so need to limit them. Advantages of this style of offer include: creating a real urgency and buzz over the process. People will naturally be curious, and the fact that they know they don’t have time to choose, will likely lead to a “get in now, and decide later” kind of mentality which is great for sales. These are great for live training products. You set up a one week course, everyone is already highly motivated because of the urgency already created, and you just keep them moving forward. The caution here is that you need to have a good plan from the moment the limited offer starts. If their expectations are not met, then the whole thing unravels really, really quickly. Refunds, and blame start getting laid out everywhere, and it ends in a not so pretty mess. The obvious disadvantages of these launches are that the sales are limited to the places or the time of the product being offered. That means there will always be a maximum amount that can be made, and after that the opportunity will be limited until it can be opened up again. The limited nature of the offer also stops you being able to integrate it into other sales funnels, and other projects (or you can for the seven days that it is open, but the chopping and changing will make the benefits not really worth the effort). The final straw that usually makes people look for the Evergreen product (which is described below) is that affiliates are not overly fond of it. If they have blogs, or other ways of communication, they may get on in some sort of fashion, but they’ll all know that the effort can only give results for a limited time. If it’s a tossup between this two week product, and another five month product, they’ll obviously choose the latter.

The Evergreen Super Launch An evergreen is a plant/tree that is green the whole year through. From this, we get the word “evergreen” that means basically “neverending”. An evergreen product never loses its validity and can be sold ongoing into perpetuity. In Internet Marketing terms, this basically relates to about three months or more. So these products are considered valid for the foreseeable future with no obvious reason why they will become outdated. These products are usually expected to make A LOT OF money in the launch period, and a further limited amount ongoing after launch. The good thing about these kinds of launches, are that the buzz created by this can really get the product launched in a lot of good locations, and then the fact that the product is still relevant later, means that there is a high chance that it can generate a residual income down the road. Because of the fact that these products have a much larger window for selling, if you hit on a good product, affiliates are generally really excited to jump on board. A few days after launch, you can still carry on looking for affiliates, and look into other traffic methods to keep the sales going. A good way to do this is to make it part of a larger set. There’s a reason that the Harry Potter books sold so well, and that is that they fed off of each other. If you have a series of fantastic products, when someone buys one, they will be highly tempted to buy the rest to

complete the set. So always remember to integrate your products, and look at the sales funnel to make sure that you are achieving symbiotic sales offers.
The Videos Shown Pre-Launch This is a variation of the Big Launch. It’s similar to any big launch, and as usual you want to focus on getting awareness up, and You can only imagine the excitement to fever pitch. This kind of launch requires some basic steps1) Make the videos. But remember, you don’t just “make” videos. You MAKE videos! You get that killer content. You add some

great style, panache, relevant, interesting images or scenery. Another key here is your voice. Just before you start recording the video, jump around a bit, and get YOURSELF excited. Remember, if you aren’t excited about this, then they will NEVER be. Also try to balance your content. Make no mistake that content needs to ROCK! But, don’t give it all in the videos, or else there’ll be a fizzle, and they’ll be getting the free coaching and info before the product has actually launched!! 2) During pre-launch, and after until you think it’s enough, send all your traffic to the opt-in page. You want to get a great list to be able to communicate with again when you have your next product to sell. You also need that list to get them excited about what’s coming for this launch. 3) Aim to have about three to five videos in the pre-launch viral sequence. Send them out via emails to the addresses that you collected. It’s quite common for people to sign up but never get around to actually activating their registration email, so if you get the excitement up, it’ll give them a necessary extra reason to validate their email address. 4) On launch day, once the product is live, send out the notification. And you have just pre-sold your product! CONGRATULATIONS! If you want, you can offer a discount code to get more of them into buying mode, or you can hold back, and use that offer in a week or so when you bump the thread again. The Webinar Launch Some successful launches use webinars on the sales page. They actually forego the sales page, and just use the webinar instead to pitch the product. The general choices here are to use either a LIVE webinar, or a pre-recorded one. These are great for big ticket items. on the part of the buyer. This means that the level of trust needs to be higher. A good webinar really stamps a seal of authority on the host if done correctly. To successfully launch using a webinar you should consider the following schedule: 1) Get all the traffic focused on signing up for the webinar as the primary aim. 2) Get as many places on the webinar reserved as possible. Remember the nature of the Internet will mean that the viewers will be from all over the world. If you can, accommodate them by having time staggered webinars. 3) Send out those reminders! So many people get so caught up in their everyday life that they want to do something but forget about it the moment they turn their backs. Maybe two reminders is useful (one the day before, and one an hour before or so). 4) On the day that you are launching, give a fantastic webinar. You need to get really enthusiastic about your product. Remember, this is going to CHANGE people’s lives! Come across as knowledgeable, helpful, polite, and a person that you would love to sit and have a coffee with. Pitch the product at the end, and give the details of how, why, and what about the viewers’ lives it is going to change. Give an overview of the quality, but you need to make sure that they know how this product will fill a hole in their lives. 5) Remember to record all the webinars! Some will swear by WSOs, while others will tell you not to waste your time. Some will say that the only way to really stay safe is to own everything yourself, ergo set up your own domain. A really important point to remember on these platforms is that a lot of buying is done on trust. Trust is a big part of life in general, Some will swear by WSOs, so a member who has 1,000 posts while others will tell you not and 500 thanks will add a definite to waste your time. The warrior forum has a special place where it offers sales threads for members to trade their digital wares. The one stipulation is that it needs to be a better offer, or at least an as good an offer as the product is offered elsewhere. These are called, “Warrior Special Offers, or WSOs for short).
This is a place where really unique IM products or special value products thrive. It can make you make insanely better off in a matter of days if you hit the jugular with your product. If you go there and have a look, there are always people launching some stuff there as the upside of success makes even the most hardened poker player start salivating at the mouth. The important points to note when deciding whether to go for this platform or not are: 1) The product you are offering must be unique or somehow special. 2) It must be offered at the lowest price available on the internet (it’s not really a very special offer if it is not). Nb. You can offer the product in other places, it doesn’t have to be limited to this forum, but it cannot be offered at a LOWER price than the WSO.

3) You can’t offer PLR products (i.e. the product must be original, and not a Private Label Rights product that was made by someone else and repackaged by you). 4) You cannot post affiliate links in the WSO. The sales for the WSO go via the acceptable affiliate platforms. The two main platforms that are used for WSOs are JVZoo (jvzoo.com) and Warrior + Plus (warriorplus.com). The great point with WSOs is that the visitors are highly targeted for Internet Marketing (note: choose the products that you want to try and sell wisely, selling products that don’t appeal to IMers will probably NOT go down well sales-wise). This means that the conversion rates are usually much higher due to the upside factors of the environment (there are a lot of “WSO Junkies”, there is often social proof for the sales otherwise known as reviewers, it is the lowest price available for that product, so the potential buyer can be sure that they can’t buy it elsewhere for less which will cut down on hesitancy, buyer’s remorse, and so ultimately refunds). Other key points are that you can use PayPal which most buyers prefer, know, and trust. Affiliates can easily find high converting products and promote them to their followers pretty efficiently. You can build targeted lists really quickly, this is especially true if you offer a free product which is also allowed.
Forum Special Offers (FSOs) This is a mini-me of a WSO basically. It’s a newer, smaller forum that is made for only special offers. If you like, you can picture it as

the WSO section broken off the forum and made into a separate website. I say that it is a “smaller version”, but it may not do it justice really, as the most users online ever was clocked at more than a staggering 110,000!! Forum Special Offers (ForumSpecialOffers.com) is actually owned by the affiliate promotional platform – ProductPay.com, but you can actually use any platform you like to promote your wares.
You can use this platform if you are a bit scared of the Warrior Forum going down, you can launch on both platforms if you like. As the visitor numbers suggest, this is an equally valid, and profitable place to make a good return on an idea that you package. If you really think that you have a product that needs to get out into the world for the greater good of mankind, you can even try contacting the owners to see if they will mail your product out for you. The guy’s name is Bobby Walker, and you can try using the contact form on the website to send a message, or send him a personal message on the forum after you’ve registered and got enough posts under your belt. Remember, if you have a good enough product you are ALWAYS doing them a favor by offering them a chance to promote. Also remember to NEVER sell yourself short, but be realistic.

Your Own Domain The self-hosted page is always an option. There are numerous reasons why this might be the choice for you, or might be a good complement to the other options. First off, to mop up the sales that miss the main WSO/FSO, you will almost always want to buy the domain name to the product that you are peddling. Google no longer places high value on just Exact Match Domains (EMD), but you still need the domain as it will be the easiest way to forward your clients onto your sales page. There is an automatic mentality among Internet savvy users to always assume that the product, especially ones with unusual names, has its own website at the .COM. Remember, you need the .com, and nothing else. Some people think that the .net or .org are okay for SEO and stuff, which might be true, however, with internet users, they will only ever get as far as checking the .com for a website and nothing more. Also remember that it doesn’t have to be a fancy website. A single sales page is often enough to do the job. When should you host your own website with your own domain?

on the platform, and try and find other products in the same field. Are they launching on the same day or in a similar time frame? Have you had a look at the recent Products of the Day (POTD)? What is the quality of them? Don’t be afraid to reach out and find out what works best for your JV partners as well. Which platforms they prefer could have a material influence on which options you should choose. Find out why they like it, and if you can accommodate them. A lot of the money coming in will be from good affiliate sales, so if there isn’t a valid reason, you will always want them to be happy with working with you until you have built up your authority. An obvious point is you need to know which platform your target customers respond best to. You can test on different platforms, but you should always settle on one in the end as it reduces confusion (funnel them into one place). Also, it will be easier to build up a reputation at one of the platforms. JVZoo, and W+ both recommend previous products, so building up a history on one of the platforms is preferred to jumping between them willy-nilly. There is a term in IM called, “split testing”, and it means to try two different methods at the same time. In this case, you would have a plugin randomly forward half your traffic to one method, and half to the other, and see if there is any difference in results. This idea is a great way for learning which tweaks work, and which don’t. The main ones that you are going to come across if you are dealing with the WSO, are discussed as follows. WarriorPlus.com

This platform is ONLY for WSOs, and therefore will NEED to be a unique product. As mentioned before, if it doesn’t have a unique twist in some way, it’s probably not going to get through the product vetting process. This is a great place for IM targeted products, so it’s best to stick to those kinds of products. If you’ve just written the next Harry Potter for four year-olds, I’m sure you’ll be over the moon, but it’s not going to be a bread winner on this forum.
W+ accepts PayPal so you get your money immediately. You want to remember that PayPal has its own set of problems and benefits. If you hit the jackpot, and the money flows in, remember to try and keep a positive balance so that if anyone asks for a refund, the money is there to take it from. Also, make sure that your PayPal account is verified, and the money limits are removed (call them up to ask how to get this done if you aren’t sure). The other thing is that it doesn’t hurt to call them prior to a launch to tell them that there could be a sudden rush of cash flowing through the account. This will help them prepare for the possibility a little. If a sudden amount of money flows through the account in a 24 hour period, it can get frozen for up to 180 days! So firstly, remember that, secondly, always be NICE to PayPal, and thirdly always go that extra mile to give them the information that they need to decide in your favor.

W+ is easy to set up with auto responders. If you aren’t sure, there is more than enough material out there to find to help you, otherwise email/call your auto responder service and ask them to help. It shouldn’t be hard to figure out. W+ is the easier of the platforms to get affiliates to join up without a song and a dance. They’ll just see it advertised and give it a go on their own accord (you should also be soliciting for other affiliates as well). You can check and verify the affiliates by having a look at their profiles on the WarriorForum.com. Payments can be given on a rotation basis (for example, every other sale), or as a split commission (which is probably easier). You’ll set up the JV contract to get the partnerships going. The cost of selling a product via this platform is either: $19 per listing, or free but 2.9% + $0.10. If you manage to get your product as WSO of the Day by Mike Lantz, you can get another massive wave of traffic bringing in some more big-dollar sales. JVZoo.com This is a newer platform, and to some extent a rival of Warrior + Plus. You can use this platform for both WSOs AND other products. It is gaining popularity, and it is worth remembering that many of the affiliates on Warrior + Plus, are also active affiliates on this platform as well. JVZoo caters to any niche that wants to register, but it is inevitably mostly linked to IM products so you might want to reconsider

listing your, “Gardening Secrets for the Retired”, new publication on here before launching and struggling to make money. One good point about JVZoo is that it can be used with the most trusted payment system, PayPal, and in addition, it shows the conversion rate statistics. You are easily able to integrate JVZoo with an auto responder service, and other membership plugins (just look at the JVZoo FAQs, or the service you want to use for their FAQs or customer support).
This platform is now becoming as big as WarriorPlus, and as I mentioned before, many of the affiliates on there are also looking for opportunities on JVZoo as well. When you get the affiliates, you can also check how many sales the affiliates have made to verify that everything is working well. The affiliate payment method for JVZoo is an adaptive payment system. It splits the payment into the different commissions automatically. If you want, you can also easily set up JV contracts, and 2nd tier affiliate links on the platform pretty quickly, so everybody gets focused on the more important point of promoting and selling the product.

The cost of doing business on this platform is a tiny bit more expensive at 5%. But there is no upfront cost, or registration fee, so you can register a product, and you don’t have to worry about paying JVZoo until you actually have money coming in. One point about this platform (as with many if they deal with PayPal) is that you should remember to issue PayPal refunds through JVZoo and not through PayPal, otherwise the whole thing can get very confusing and not match up correctly. Something that you can do on JVZoo that is a real bonus, is actually host your files and pages on JVZoo! This is a real bonus as it means that you don’t need to spend a lot of money on hosting, and you can host the files on their website. If your product is software, or a course, you can upload them there, too. The limit is 88 mb, but by most accounts, that is usually more than enough to get by on. If it isn’t, you will have to consider hosting some of the files on your own domain via a “secret” page, or some other way. ClickBank.com This is the biggest affiliate market place and is simply HUGE! It is a very famous, well-established affiliate platform that is very popular with many IMers. It offers affiliate programs for pretty much ALL niches, so is pretty versatile if you are looking for something to sell to a particular market. By its own reckoning, it has sold easily more than two BILLION dollars of products spanning two to three decades! That’s a lot by anyone’s standards!

With ClickBank, you don’t need to wait for approval to become an affiliate. The affiliates just browse around, see something they think is interesting, and sign up for it. The downside is that they don’t offer conversion stats, so you will have less knowledge of the kinds of volumes, and percentage of interested clients when it is on the market. When issuing refunds with ClickBank, they take care of the details. An issue that some Marketers have with ClickBank is that they tend to have pretty high refund rates, and the general quality of the products on offer via ClickBank is usually substandard. In many people’s terms, “There are a lot of cowboys on ClickBank.” So be a little careful when doing business there. Most products are in the $27 to $97 price range. So not nearly as low as some WSO products. However, it is often difficult to get a product approved for a price above $99. This might be down to the risk to the client buying (concerning refunds, and credit card charge backs) but the real reason is not made clear in the FAQs section. The product that you do submit can take longer than other platforms to be approved as there are a lot of terms and conditions that apply to the products. Also, ClickBank don’t pay via PayPal. They will only pay by checks sent to your address or by direct bank payments to a bank account. You set up an account and register the products that you want to sell on the platform. The final thing that you need to know is that to list a product will cost you US$49.

ClickSure.com This is a platform that is actually very similar to ClickBank, and so many of the same rules and advice apply. It is newer and becoming more popular. You should definitely check it out before settling on which platform to choose.
In a way, similar to the JVZoo vs. WarriorPlus battle, ClickSure chooses not to have a listing fee, but takes a percentage of your sales in lieu. Just given the name similarities, these two platforms are in competition. This platform is eager to pull new business in, so products are definitely easier to get approved on this platform than ClickBank, but still not as easy as some other platforms. DigiResults.com This is a network that is on the decline. It is still used by many, but has probably peaked with a lot of the traffic now going to JVZoo. A good point about DigiResults is that it can be integrated with other affiliate networks like WarriorPlus (W+), JVZoo, and the like. However, it is being less used than in the past because a lot of affiliate activity migrated to JVZoo in the recent past.

It is owned by the people who do FSO, and so you might consider using this one if you are launching on ForumSpecialOffer (see above). There is less affiliate fraud on ProductPay which is a very good thing. Affiliate fraud is a big problem with some platforms, so you should see affiliates’ section later on to get some good pointers.

Finalizing the Product Price and Details Overview So you now have the product, are ready to list it and need to know some of the final details to be able to launch your baby into the world. A key point that will be a very significant question to think about is, “How much is my product worth?” It’s a tough question, and one mixed with the balancing acts of gaging demand, affiliate prowess, product quality, being realistic vs. fantasy dreaming, and deciding what you actually want most from the results of the launch. Immediate Income vs. Email Lists It may seem easy at first glance, but it is not as easy as you might think once you get down to the bare bones. Do you aim for maximizing your income stream and not worry about the future (i.e. make this a one off event with no asset building for future opportunities), or do you focus only on the possibility of getting a good client base who trust you and will be willing to buy several more products at a later date?

There are two extremes, and you are most likely to sit somewhere in the middle of the two. On the one hand, you could focus on solely building your client base. In order to do this, some people actually give away their products for free (well for the effort of giving you a valid email address). They literally do a WSO with just a free download at no price to pay to be a=ble to build their email list. The email addresses really are what they are after, because they can then get a (hopefully) highly targeted list of people who will be very interested in buying your future product. The other side, you might want to completely ignore the email address bait and focus all your efforts on just an income. You will get a list of your clients by default, and in some ways this might be a more valuable list as these are people who aren’t scared to open their wallets for your product, but it will likely be a smaller list than it could otherwise have been. So the probable outcome is that you will weigh both your wont for getting emails and your wont for some decent revenue, and choose the balance that suits what you are comfortable with. Just remember, the higher you push the price, the less email addresses you will get, but the lower you push the price, the less revenue you could potentially get. Two key factors that run counter to this argument that you need to factor in are: 1) There is always the chance that lowering the price will vastly increase the sales to the point that will increase the revenue more than the higher price would have got.

2) A very low price will increase the number of people on your list, but it will also decrease the quality of the clients. If you are struggling to think of the best price to put your product at, think of some reasonable bands that you would be happy with, make friends with some affiliates, reviewers, and savvy internet users, and ask them for some advice. Just keep in mind that they will all have their own motivations for the price that they choose, so try not to be too trusting of any of the advice you receive. Also search around for some competitors’ products that are in a similar field and do comparable things to your own. Try to gage how successful they were and what they were priced at. A general rule of thumb is the more pages the sales thread has, the more successful it has been. Some advice from here that you might want to take on board includes: For WSO launches, a very good method is to have a low Front End price with a killer Sales Funnel that both increases the offer value and complements the product that they are buying. You can do Dimes Sales on WSOs! This is a great way to increase urgency, and pump up the excitement. You crank up the price as the sales increase so that the first movers (quicker buyers) effectively get a discount. A general rule of thumb for pricing is: $6 - $18 for Written or Video courses; $8.97 - $17 for PLR Products; WP plugins and website themes can go for $9.97-$39.67; general software can be sold for $15 - $37; membership sites can fetch $1 for the initial trial, and then $9.95 - $39.97 per month; graphics packages can get you $9.97 - $17 or so; webinar products should be sold between $27 - $97; and coaching can go for

$97 – $297 or more (depending on your perceived authority and trust). With this all done, and your price set, let’s move on to the commission you are going to offer to your affiliates. Affiliate Commissions The beauty of digital products is that there is literally no limit to how many you can sell, and the sales are almost 100% pure profit once the initial set up costs have been paid. This is great news for business as it means that there is absolutely no supply block if you can get demand excited about it. The exception is the coaching courses and stuff where there will be limited places so as to not reduce quality.

This nicely leads onto the idea of getting affiliates in on the act. Some people might not like the idea of giving away revenue to affiliates to sell their product. But all they really need to do is actually look at the facts. The product that they have made now has almost zero incremental cost per a sale, and these affiliates are not only helping increase the seller’s email list, they are also providing free, extra avenues of sales that the seller would not have been able to have done by themselves and it’s done on the back of the affiliates’ efforts. It’s an easy win-win situation if done correctly.
Please remember that any sales that YOU make independently of your affiliate network, you will receive ALL the funds as there were no affiliates involved (you are basically collecting for the sale AND the affiliate commission). The most successful launches always have good affiliate networks as it is usually a necessity. Points to consider when getting affiliates are: Affiliates always look at Earnings Per Click (EPC) and Commissions vs. Price Points when trying to decide whether to get in on a product or not. If there isn’t enough in it for them then they will probably go looking for a better opportunity elsewhere. For low-end launches, due to how little money is actually being paid, it is often the case that the seller will pay between 75% - 100% of the Front End (FE) product price (meaning that the seller will make almost no money on the sale).

Mid-level price ranges usually result in a 50% - 75% payment to the affiliates. A mid-level product price range might be anything from $15 - $99. One Time Offers (OTO) are usually offered at a 50% commission rate. OTOs are a good deal as you have a captive buyer who is in “buying mode”, and so conversions from OTOs if done correctly (as always), can be very high. Offers via affiliate platforms like ClickBank usually give a 75% commission rate. If you are going for the higher end product sale for things like coaching, or some high end systems, etc. you could offer your affiliates anything from 25% - 50%. As mentioned in the previous section, some of the lower-level WSOs are really just an exercise in building email lists. As such, they often offer their affiliates 100% commissions, so the launch can easily turn a small loss in order to make a better client base for the seller. They will probably make some money with the sales direct from the sales thread, or through their own efforts. Remember, if the affiliate looks or sounds incompatible with your beliefs, don’t be afraid of turning them down. If you are trying to build a name for yourself, and the product really is a valuable offer to the right market, then don’t be afraid to maintain your standards to some degree by not allowing all applications to be able to sell it. You can do this by not having an auto approve, and by asking them to write a short proposal about their sales methods. !!Word of Caution!! Affiliate Fraud!!

There is unfortunately a lot of affiliate fraud, and it can be a part of doing business. If you are not careful, you can actually end up losing money on a launch if you have too many affiliate fraudsters and some refunds go through your books. The best way to reduce this risk is to delay affiliate payments for the maximum allowed for new or risky affiliates. This is usually 60 days. A common way to be a victim of affiliate fraud is for a customer to buy the product, you to automatically receive the money (say via PayPal), and automatically forward on the affiliates share to their account. Then, the customer doesn’t like the product, and requests a refund which is applied automatically via the affiliate platform. At this point, all transactions should be reversed, but if the affiliate has closed their account, moved the funds, or even used a PayPal processing software with their credit card and don’t actually have a PayPal account (which is also possible), then no money will come back from the affiliate’s account, and you’ll be left to refund the ENTIRE amount. This can be compounded with either the affiliate using: disposable, prepaid credit cards, fake names, un-verified PayPal accounts, and charge backs via their credit card. Be aware that charge backs can be applied for up to 180 days after the transaction date, so even the 60 days is not a great safety net. However, if you check their past record, get to know them, try to get some proof of past performance, everything generally works out fine. Getting Reviewers

This is not necessarily the place for me to put this section as it comes later than getting affiliates (see the timeline at the end of this book), however, it needs a home somewhere, and here is as good a place as any. Getting reviewers can drive you crazy if not done systematically, so you need to know the facts, and then stick to that with AS FEW EXCEPTIONS AS POSSIBLE! Some of the reviewers are going to always just take your product, test it or not (you’ll never know if they even opened the box so to speak), and then never get back to you. So when they do get lazy and never get back to you on that review, mutter something about “karma” and “what goes around, comes around” under your breath, and then move on to the more reliable reviewers. So how do you minimize the risks of giving out your hard-worked product and not getting the promised reviews? First of the bat, I need to remind you that reviews and their testimonials are a major factor to success. Reviewers act as the test animals on the new product to prove that it isn’t vaporware. If the reviewers can’t say anything good about it, then it’s going to either be a struggle to sell, or a struggle to stop the refund requests. So the basics for getting reliable reviewers are: First post a thread in the forum stating that you have a product that you want to sell and that you need reviewers for it. This will start to get interest from the right people. If there are some users who you specifically want on board, approach them via a private message to sound out the idea of them trying out your product.

Once they have started communications with you about the idea of being a reviewer, you firstly check their profile on the forum. A reviewer who joined yesterday, and has two posts to their name is not going to sell you tons of products as it doesn’t instill trust. Make sure they joined a while back, and have a good number of posts. There are some ways to minimize the chances of them not coming back to you: Ask them for previous reviews that they have done. Just simply copy and paste the review into the private message, ideally with the url where it was posted. If they can’t be bothered to do that, then they really aren’t going to write anything half decent for you. Check their profile, their posts on the forum, and their general attitude when posting to try and understand what kind of person they are. Give them enough time to actually test the product to be able to write the review (this is usually 1-2 weeks). Look at previous sales threads and see if there are any reviewers who have reviewed a lot of products, approach them to see if they would be interested in helping you. Promise them a review copy for future product launches if they manage to keep to schedule on this one. Don’t be afraid to follow up on how they are doing, and ask if there is anything that is unclear about the product so that they don’t get stuck and put it to the side to never get around to again. Writing Sales Copy Letters

This aspect of the WSO is really a subject that could (and does) take up an entire WSO by itself. There is so much at play when you are doing a good sales copy letter. It’s a true rollercoaster of emotions that leaves you mentally exhausted and in NEED of that product that you’ve just read about! I don’t just WANT IT! I will DIE WITHOUT IT! That is the kind of sexiness that you need to shoot for on this kind of launch if you are looking for the big cash. Find the Pain- So the first point that you need to start with is the pain. That is marketing speak for “Where does it hurt? And how can I make it better?” You have a product that has been specifically designed to make this piece of pain disappear. So before you can start the conversation, you need to locate their pain, and squeeze on it a little (they have to keep on reading, so don’t press too hard!). You can do this by starting off with an anecdote that they relate to (I was living a gray life, disappearing down the 9-5 job with not a

branch to grab to stop my fall…). Or you can give generalizations (do you know someone who always wakes up late? Do you always wake up late? It’s difficult to get to bed early when there’s so much to do! You’ve got to water the plants, look after the kids, etc…). You located the situation, and problem. You’ve talked about it, and got them nodding their head while they read your opening paragraph. Here’s a secret: if you don’t do anything stupid, you have them! BUT you have to continue. This copy is a walk down a path from ignorance to complete agreement, and there are cafes along the way that serve them the Koolaid they need to get there. Why it’s Never Been Solved Before- So next up is to explain why this problem has never been solved properly in the past. Maybe it has been solved, but it was shoddy, or it was impractical, or it was even too expensive. “I found THE plugin that I was looking for to sing me Happy Birthday once a year on my birthday…. BUT it cost $20,000!!!! Or BUT it only had the voice of that FISH SINGING “Don’t worry! Be Happy!!!” You see what I’m saying? They are NOT good solutions to this problem. You can also mention the difficulties of fixing this problem which is why it has taken an X-Man like you to do it. “It’s actually difficult to make this kind of plugin, usually it takes three plugins working together”, “up until last year, there was in fact a law stating that only fish were allowed to sing the Don’t Worry! Be Happy! song…” State How Life Would ChangeThis is where you allow your reader to basically fly free with their imagination. You lift the burden of reality from their shoulders, and

give them a chance to reassess some of the points about this problem. You do this in a clever way. You let them fly within a transparent cage. What I mean by this is that you are actually giving them the thoughts with which they want the change to come about. For example, you might be selling a new way of getting email addresses. You have a new technique for the subscriber to do all the work, and that is what you are aiming for, you then say, “Imagine a world where THEY came to YOU?”, or “In some cases, it would be so much easier if they subscribed automatically, wouldn’t it?”. Explain How Your Product Has Changed the GameNow it’s time for Superman to take the floor. You step in with your product that you have already been hinting about with a full blown “HERE IT IS!! YOUR PRAYERS HAVE BEEN ANSWERED!!” Do a quick rerun of the pain that was experienced, the problems with solving it, how it could be solved if… how you found that if and made it now, and how they can piggyback your hard work for a minimal fee and a lot less stress. Don’t forget to clearly state the benefits that you have brought along to the table with this “new” (even if it is not technically new, it’s new as far as you are concerned!) product. Get EXCITED about this! Walk around the room, jump up and down to get the blood rushing, do a few Rocky-style boxing moves just remember to get that excitement through in your WORDS! Also remember again not to make assumptions about its benefits. If your product gives the exact date which is synchronized with the world clock, but so does

every other product in the competition, IT DOESN’T MATTER! GET EXCITED!! Walk Them through How to Get and Implement Your ProductSo they are now pumped and eating out of your hand like a puppy dog whose life you have just saved. Do you know what that gives you? It gives you authority. Now this is where you use it. Tell them what they need to do now. You have basically run through a minilesson with them: introduced the pain, explained why there is still pain, hinted at a better life if there was no pain, shown that you now have that better life because of your fantastic product, and now, completely hypnotized, you tell them to GRAB IT! You need this to be unambiguous. They need clear guidelines because a lot of people don’t think clearly, and what’s more, they don’t know that they don’t think clearly. If you haven’t made it clear, then you WILL lose money so don’t be shy. Give them call to action words, and a sense of urgency is “now-ness”. Eg. Make this yesterday’s problem by just clicking on this button and joining an easier world NOW! There are other points that you need to know about the sales copy, but it is beyond the scope of this book. Get in touch if you need any guidance, I’ll be happy to help. Just remember these points A call to action (these are words that make the reader do things now, i.e. press, enter, etc… Use words that give urgency i.e. stop wasting, now, no longer, finish, etc…

Make it a lesson with a linear thought process that starts with a situation that EVERYONE relates to, then funnel it down to a position that they CANNOT disagree with. Make it FUN, INTERESTING, and play with their emotions like a cat and a mouse. Talk to them DIRECTLY, and get them nodding their heads when reading, use lots of “you”s, and less third person or passive phrases. This is PERSONAL, make it that way.
Setting up a Sales Funnel A Sales Funnel is a squeeze that helps make the visitors run down the funnel to buy or do the action that you are looking for. You get them to your page, and you want as many of them doing the action that this page is focused on (that could be just clicking your like button, joining your email database, or handing over their cash). Here is a simple one that is good enough for the launch. I have another book that goes into all of this in more depth, but for this subject, this is enough.

Partnerships vs. going it alone Overview There are more ways to do a partnership of some type than there are ways to peel an orange, and that often leaves the person with a hot product on their hands with a bit of a conundrum. What is the best way to go forward to maximize the advantage to you? to make mistakes, and always balance how much there is left to do and whether you can launch NOW! Going it alone Launching without help is something that some people do. It is often VERY good experience, and it’s very useful to learn techniques for becoming a successful online Internet Marketer. However, there are points that you need to consider before deciding on this course of action. Do you have enough contacts and knowledge on how to get affiliates to make this launch successful? Do you have that knack for seeing what customers NEED and the methods to lay it down in a smooth sales funnel for them? Can you split test the sales to learn what works and what doesn’t? Are you okay with a small launch? Bigger launches usually require better contacts. It is worth noting that you could stick a thousand monkeys in a room for however long you like, and while they would learn some things, they wouldn’t necessarily have the insights to come up with the best techniques. You have the space and chance to test this launch in any way that YOU see fit. Experience is usually right, but not always and you can test that. All the net profits made from the launch go directly into your pocket. This can mean that a small launch is still okay, as there is only you to collect the cash. If you are new to the launch scene, the lack of contacts will severely limit your chances of success. This doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t give it a go for the experience, and to see, but the track record suggests that it will be tough. The experienced partner really comes into their own when you run into problems that you aren’t sure what to do about. The experienced partner will have a vested reason to make sure that never happens. It’s going to be a lot of work that you will do all by yourself. So you’ll be learning what you are doing, and doing it at a professional level, enough to get good sales, at the same time. Not impossible, but more difficult. Launching with a famous marketer has a number of advantages. Let’s have a look at some of them below: Your product will already be news as your partner will have a following who regularly keep up to date with what he/she is doing. He will probably have a big mailing list, and he’ll be active in many forums. These are both good places to start spreading the news of the new product. You’ll share the profits, and sometimes the email list you get 50:50. If the gap between their experience and yours really is that big, this is an incredibly good deal! There is a symbiotic meeting of (your) good product and (his/her) big contact list and successful launch methods for increasing the success of the promotions. You want to make sure that the Marketer knows the niche that you are dealing with well. An Internet Marketer with no connections in the niche that you are selling in will still be useful, but will be of less of an advantage as the network is the exposure that the product gets when it launches.

Don’t be afraid to ask. If you don’t ask, then you will never know if the Internet Marketer will be willing to do a partnership with you. Make sure to have done your homework on the person so you know they have the experience and ability to bring something to the table. Having done that research will also help you to sound like a person that they would be happy to do business with. You get real insights that just don’t happen with only doing things by yourself. Many of the established, well-known Marketers have had mentorships with some of the most famous Marketers in the world. They have published books, and hold seminars charging thousands of dollars. You can get firsthand experience of that effectively for free! It’s well worth considering. The experienced Internet Marketer will have a huge list of friends that they can utilize to promote your product. If they help get more good affiliates on board, it will definitely equal more sales which will mean better money for you than you doing it by yourself. They will also be very aware of the pitfalls of affiliate fraud and be able to guide you to minimize it. You will have someone to share the workload with. As I mentioned earlier, launches are a very stressful time! If you can get someone on board who can share the workload, keep you working to schedule, and be a great sound board for ideas, then all the power to you, my friend! It is a great way to get a foot in the door of building your own friend’s list. The Marketer will introduce you to some fantastic people so you can start to make your own contacts list to use in the future. The downsides are pretty obvious though. For one, you will have to share your net profits 50:50. This is net of affiliate commissions, so sometimes you will need to do pretty big sales to be able to come out smiling.

Your partner has a clear interest in the launch being successful, and they trump you on experience. There will oft be times where your partner’s word will be close to final, so you will lose freedom to some extent. Having Someone Manage Your Launch This option is called a JV Manager, or Launch Manager. It’s basically someone that you get to help you to do the launch with. Similar to a Partnership, but just really focused on making the launch part of the whole plan successful. It basically works by you agreeing for the manager to finalize the plans for the launch, and to also recruit affiliates. The manager will have a large database of potential affiliates that they can sift through to get the ones relevant for your niche. The manager will also look at the potentially lucrative sales funnel that you have hopefully set up (you need a decent sales funnel for extra sales!), and tweak it so that it is optimized for the sales experience. An obvious key when looking over what to do about a JV Manager is to get good references before deciding on who it is going to be. When discussing the possibilities with them, talk to them about their previous launches, guarantees of sales, the terms of conditions, and other appropriate questions that are important to you. Make sure to follow up on every lead you can find, as it will be detrimental to both parties if you settle on someone who you later regret choosing.

Standard terms of the JV Manager-launch deal is about $1,000 $4,000 up front for the help, experience, and contacts that they will provide, and then anything from 10%+ of GROSS profits from the sales. This could easily be around 50% of net profits when you take affiliate commissions into consideration. There are good reasons why this might be the best way to go about doing a launch. One that is obvious is because a successful person will need an incentive to put their time and effort into the launch. The good Managers get offers all the time, and it is more worth their time if they get something out of it at the beginning. It also shows them that you are serious about what you are proposing you have some “skin in the game”. Important points to consider when choosing this are: It is much, much more likely to succeed. If the product is not good, they will suggest how you can improve it, and then the key is just marketing to a good network. The manager’s previous experience and knowledge really comes into its own at this point. They will be able to get many BIG affiliates on board to increase your chances of success. They will be in charge of all the details for the launch, this includes: recruitment, JV Leaderboard, copy sales letter, etc… It is a great way to increase your contact’s list. The caliber of the people that you are likely to meet is high enough to get the average Internet Marketer salivating over the prospects. The downside is that this is an expensive option, no question about it. It is really best for a GOOD product that you have to sell, with a GREAT sales funnel, and a BIG launch.

Deciding When to Launch? Overview So, you have got to here? Congratulations! I reckon that you must be a pretty serious individual intent on making something of your life in the Internet world! Never give up! Never surrender! Now, we come to an important point: when do I launch? So remember, a key to success is finding the right JVs and affiliates, so give yourself 2-4 weeks to get this done. It is definitely not an overnight process. Finding Gaps in the Schedule When you think about the summer blockbuster schedule at the cinemas, they are usually spread out over a couple of months at a fairly consistent distance. There is always a buzz if two big blockbusters are too close together. The same applies to launches. You need to find a time when there isn’t another launch that is going to potentially

take away from your sales, and that will tie up the hands of the affiliate marketer’s time to the detriment of yours. Places to go to find this out are: MunchEye, WarriorJV, ImLaunchR, and other Facebook groups. Join the groups, start scouting around and making friends. Get advice on when to launch, and start recruiting! Stay Away From the Blockbusters! You are just learning to walk. These experienced, well-known Internet Marketers are pretty much running a full marathon at break-neck speed. Stay away! Marketing is all about balancing probability in your favor so it makes no sense to go head-to-head with a pro. If you catch wind of a big launch happening, do as much as you can to avoid it and launch at a different time (within reason). Don’t be Afraid to get Advice If you have access to a big JV yourself, or you know someone with experience, don’t be afraid to borrow their ear to ask for a little guidance on what to do. An important point is to always look at your product through neutral, third party eyes. When talking about it, get excited, but in your head, when launching, always keep it balanced and realistic. Changing a Date It is always possible to change the date of the launch. It’s best done sooner rather than later, but there is never a deadline that can’t be shifted. The key here is for open, clear communications with your team. Let everyone know that the date has changed. If it is appropriate, tell them the reason, or just put it down to “technical difficulties”. Either way, how they see you is the key to their trust in you, so keep the communication clear, directed, and sounding like you are in control! The Time of the Day Again, as with day of the week, there are better and worse times of the day to launch as well. The most successful Internet Marketers have a standard schedule that they must adhere to, to get their work done efficiently. They are no different from the rest of us, so need to stick to good routines. Most people tend to get their best The best times to launch a work done in the morning, and so WSO are between 0900that is when it is best to launch. 1200 or 1500-1700 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Most of these big Internet forums are USA-centric, so you’ll have to aim for morning Eastern Standard Time (EST). What do we need to check and review to make sure that this is going to work well? There are a number of things, but the key to absolutely everything in this is DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS! It is important that everything is checked with a clear head, make notes of any problems and FOLLOW UP ON THEM! You will have literally no time during the launch to change things. That doesn’t mean it is a make or break thing, but no one likes problems, so be as prepared as you can be. “See you're assuming I won't shoot your sorry ass, and everyone knows when you make an assumption, you make an ass out of you and mption.”

FSO? Etc.) Select the affiliate program that suits you the best (JVZoo, WarriorPlus, etc.) Have the Sales Funnel set with Affiliate Commissions, Price Points all decided and confirmed. Settle on the how you are going to manage the launch (By yourself, with a JV Manager, or a JV Partner) and make sure the JV Contracts are set up correctly. Choose the best date and time to launch the product and for getting affiliates on board. GET BUSY DOING THE WALK! Start getting this plan put into action. The Final Countdown Timeline! The check list that needs to be checked and thoroughly reviewed Before Launch (B.L.) is as follows: 3-4 Weeks B.L.: You must have finished ALL the planning for the launch three to four weeks prior to the set launch date. 3 Weeks B.L.: This is when you have set up the JV page with Affiliate links for people to start getting the links ready to become affiliates to launch and where you sit down and start checking the emails addresses that you are going to send out to,

You can do this by posting to Skype groups, Facebook groups, WarriorForum threads, and making teaser videos to increase awareness. 1-2 Weeks B.L.: You need to get reviewers for your product. You can use your JV Partners if you have any, or post on the WSO forum, or other similar places. See the Reviewer section about how to get decent reviewers. 1 Week B.L.: Create the WSO page thread and pay the $40. DO NOT put the order button yet. That comes later. 1 Week B.L.: Add the “Early Bird List” button on your page. This redirects to a sign-up form. People who are interested in this product can sign up and receive the email when it becomes available. You can give them an extra treat or two for being such great customers. 0-1 Week B.L.: Get the Reviewers to post the feedback on your WSO thread. Keep at them because some of them are incredibly

Get your partners to run a test as well. Mark down the price to 0.01 dollars, or just use the test function on the affiliate platform. There is no need to pay the full amount for the product. FINALLY post about the launch on all the groups that you have been active on: Skype, Facebook. Do this a couple of times to make sure people know, but be considerate about it, and DON’T spam, you’ll need these contacts for your next successful launch! 1 DAY B.L.: Send a reminder and the affiliate links to all the JV Partners on Skype and Facebook, etc… Also email your JV list. 1 DAY B.L.: Send out an email to all your potential clients from your email list building up the excitement and getting them into “buy mode”.

Let’s have a look at the things that need to be done on Launch Day! 3 Hrs B.L.: Sent out the emails with all the prepared emails that you have already written to your JV list and the JV partners that you are in contact with on Skype. 2 Hrs B.L.: Write the emails for your sub list, and your JV list getting ready to queue for launch. 1 Hr B.L.: Test the funnel again! Remember that funnel is the only thing between success and you making ZERO money, so test, test, and test! Make sure that all the links are working fine, and that the affiliate referrals work without glitches. ½ Hr B.L.: Now is the time to add the order button to your sales page on your WSO. ¼ Hr B.L.: Confirm a couple of times that the offer is live, and ready to do business. What to do After the Launch So, everything has gone off smoothly, and you are now enjoying some of the finest moments that life has to offer (other than deep fried chocolate bars). Is there anything that you should be doing now? What does the postlaunch timeline look like? Here are some things that you should be doing After Launch (A.L.): 1-12 Hrs A.L.: The moment that you get the statistics about the launch, post them on Skype, Facebook, and to your JV list. Let them know how it’s going so that it can give them valuable feedback and motivation. Monitor the JV list that you have, and follow up on JVs who are not sending out their emails. Send them screenshots to back up your claims. Remember to try and remain calm and reasonable. No one wants to work with a monster. Send out an email again to your email list commenting on what a great launch you have

had, and how the excitement is just fantastic. Remember, if you don’t get excited about your own product, who else is going to? 1 Day A.L.: Post an update to how things are going. Remember to keep adjusting the sales page a little as new information comes in, post any testimonials that peoples make on the thread to the first post, and keep that updated. Keep doing support, and post to the FAQ post (the second post in the thread is usually reserved for this function). Send another email to remind people that the cheaper prices are running out, and that the price will be raised soon (a sense of scarcity is a way to breed urgency among the buyers). 1-7 Days A.L.: You should keep updating the leaderboard, send updates to your JV list, and through the other forms of communication. Keep trying to increase the number of affiliates who are trying to sell your product. Post on Skype, and other launch groups. Set up an affiliate leader table, and let people know who the bestselling affiliate to drum up some interaffiliate competition is. If there is money rolling in, you could also think about setting up a “Thank you” contest, where the best weekly affiliates get a prize to say thank you. 6 Days A.L.: At this point, you are trying to get an urgency cranked up again a little. Send out the message that they only have 24 hours to join as an affiliate, or to do a JV on this project with you to get on the competition. You will close the competition for sales at the one week mark from launch. And at the one week mark, check the sales of the affiliates, and offer a bonus of some kind to the winners of the affiliates, and the JVs. “bump”. This is a service where you pay to push the thread up the rankings again to get more exposure. It can be very profitable if you make the right call, or it can fizzle a little if you don’t. If you have made enough money and are unsure, it doesn’t hurt to give it a go for experience. 7+ Days A.L.: The initial steam has dissipated a little since the launch. You are looking for ways to get it to pick up steam again, and get some of that magic back into buying the product. Now is the time to possibly do a webinar upselling an improved “pro” version, or some complementary product that really adds value to what they already have. You can do it yourself, or get a partner to do it (the one with the best style should obviously be the first choice). 7+ Days A.L.: Not directly connected, but it is here where you will start to make better use of the list that you made during the launch. Start to look around for quality products that you can promote as an affiliate, or make new products that are irresistible to them. Remember not to over milk the selling, and to keep it related to the product they bought. 7+ Days A.L.: Think about how you can get other products to integrate with that original product. So that it can become part of a web of products that makes the whole thing as attractive as

Keeping the Money Rolling! Overview So you got here! How was it? Was it a buzz? Or was it a nightmare? However it has gone, it really doesn’t matter as it is all in the past. Take EVERYTHING as a learning experience, and review in your mind about how you could have improved it, and what mistakes and successes you had. Just remember to always try and be as objective about your review as you can and don’t be afraid to criticize yourself! But once the review is over, and you have thought of plans that will help you overcome those obstacles, put the negativity to the side and clear your head for another go! Here are some other ways to try and keep the money rolling from the product once the buzz has died down. Re-launching If you really think that you have a product worthy of its salt, but it didn’t do well enough, you can consider doing a re-launch. This is especially if it was a limited launch the first time or it was an outstanding flop (we all have them). Try to put a realistic figure in your head about what you think the product should make, and then decide if the sales haven’t been enough to justify the value of the product. Remember that sometimes the wind blows out the match before the fire catches. Points to consider before the re-launch include: Ask yourself why it was a failure. Be neutral, and try to honestly reflect the reasons otherwise you are doing yourself no favors. If you wouldn’t buy the product as packaged and sold, is there a reason why other people would? Prior to re-launching, strongly consider improving the product, changing the name, changing the price, and most of all, consider using a different platform. If it was a successful launch, you could always think about launching it as a fully-fledged ClickBank product. Holding Web Seminars (Webinars) This is good for a number of different products. The main products this works for are: training, software, coaching, and plugins. Basically anything that can have multiple uses. A plugin would be a great webinar because the users are likely to not know either all the plugin’s functions, or the variety of ways to use it. It could potentially give you more ways to use it and even market the product. Other equally valid reasons apply for the other products.

Another way is to ironically “sell the success”. Everyone loves success and are often willing to pay for it. You can do webinars explaining how you were successful (twice!). Give them some of the tips to success that you learned along the way. Is it possible to repackage the product and sell it again? It might be worth considering. Some of these products have several iterations of repackaging in them before you need to think of something new. Mixing that with the number of platforms that you can launch on means that one could literally only need to have one original idea a year to make a living! Remember to make a relationship with the buyers and the list. Keep the emails funny, informative, interesting, and friendly. You never know when one of your readers will convert, or even come to you for advice about how to do something completely unrelated. The regular emails give them a sense of knowing you, so that when they have a problem, they come to you as a friend who they trust. Is the product a recurring product? Can you make it a theme that could be changed into a whole catalogue of products? If you made a green plugin and it was successful, then what’s stopping you making a yellow one? This is extra good as it also helps to build a variety of plugins that become a collection that the buyer MUST have. This means that later buyers will urgently need to buy your earlier products giving them a lengthened shelf life. Finally it’s time to think about ending this experience, and moving on to your next success. You’ve learned a lot so now you need to find that niche, research it, find the gap that you are going to fill, rinse and repeat!
