PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project is a transit/train station design for the Santa Monica terminus of the Expo Line. The program includes the station itself (with specific program items related to that portion of the project) as well as a housing component and a publicly accessed Santa Monica Bay Conference Center.
SITE DESCRIPTION:
The site is mostly open and public with underground parking for approximately 500 cars. The open space are modulated/organized according to each teams “master plan” proposal for the whole site. Conference center is integrated into the train station.

FLOWTATION- CULVER CITY TRAIN STATION Bus Station
SITE DESCRIPTION:
Flowtation station is located along in the Culver City Metro station stops. Site is surrounded with Venice Blvd., Washington Blvd., and Robertson Blvd. Site has no identity and there is no specific architectural approach that lead and guide public towards the stairs or elevators that transfers people from ground floor to the elevated metro station. Therefore, students had to find a way to create architecturally usable spaces that will guide public throughly to their destinations.
CONCEPT: Continuity
With the hyperbolic surfaces connected together I tried to create the sense of continuity between walls and roofs. In order to provide a space with a dual quality that can provide inside and outside characteristic s, I tried to elevate the main programs and surround the manipulated surfaces that shows a smooth float .
OBJECTIVE:
This project is a comprehensive design and students supposed to approach the architectural design process as a complex , multi-dimensional problem. The goal is to create a stop station for the Venice Blvd. Stop that will provide an easy access to the metro for public and also gathering or resting area for the station workers and MTA team.

HORIZONTAL HANGING GARDEN
HORIZONTAL HANGING GARDEN SITE DESCRIPTION:
Horizontal Hanging Garden is located along Los Angeles old-never built freeway: Whitnall Highway. The existing program in site is a dog park. Site is consist of different demographics but mostly there are business around.
CONCEPT:
Attracting people to experience NEW typology of housing in Whitnall highways absence By elevating the whole building to the point where the great views of surroundings will be visible. Elevated building will provide the opportunity of creating another level of open and gathering space under the building .
OBJECTIVE:
The project is a housing project which includes different apartments for different size families and more importantly a public garden of hanging wines with small restaurant and cafe throughout the garden. The idea of horizontal elevated building appears as if it was once floating on a Whitnall highway and the whole structure stands on two main cores that support the horizontal boxes in different levels. Building consists of three floors and offers wide range of view. In fact context of this project is a regular but sort of dead neighborhood. However, with my design I tried to bring more attractiveness to the community and connect two neighborhoods across the Whitnall Highway. Basically by elevating the building I reconnect the community and left the ground open because people could come and enjoy the public garden which offers variety hanging wine atmospheres with lavish smells on each side of the garden

Mandevilla You can find this tropical vine sold almost everywhere during the warm months. Buy it in bloom, move it into a 12-inch-wide container or hanging basket and enjoy it for the summer. Provide full sun or part shade. Keep the soil moist. Feed at least monthly the plant. Try bringing it indoors and growing it in a sunny window for the winter Frost kills
Star jasmine With its glossy evergreen foliage and wonderfully sweet white flowers in summer, star jasmine deserves a spot in any garden where it can grow. In a container train star jasmine up a trellis wherever you can appreciate Its fragrance. Provide full sun or part shade in hot climates The soil should be kept moist for best growth, although plants can withstand dry conditions. This plant is easy to grow and is hardy in zones 8 to 10. Star jasmine can be moved indoors for the winter in colder climates

SPECIFIC SITE: Elysian Valley:
Elysain Valley is a small neighborhood in the city of Los Angeles.Its borders atward village on the north-west, Elysian Park on the southeast and south, Silver Lake on the southwest and Cypress on the north-east.Its boundries are considered Fletcher Drive on the northwest, Riverside Drive on the west, the Figueroa Street Bridge on the south , ans the Los Angeles River on the north-northeast boundary, in fact the river runs the entire length of Elysian Valley’s northern edge. The area is well connected too Los Angeles freeways, with the interstate 5 and 110 Freeways having the entry and exists on Riverside Drive, and connections to the 101,10, and 2 Freeways within the neighborhood.

History:
Elysian was developed as a working class community of small bungalow and cottage homes. Riverside Drive was a center of commerce and business anchored by the neighborhood’s public libarary at the corner of Riverside Drive and Allesandro Street. It originlly called Gopher Flats at the turn of century, with housing for rail road workers, Elysian Valley later became known as “Frogtown” based on events related to LA River. in 1950’s, Valley was affected by construction of the Golden State Freeway, which displaced both residents and business.Elysian Valley runs parallel with one of the few points of the Los Angeles River with a natural river bed.

ALLURE RESORT SITE DESCRIPTION:
Allure is located in Los Angeles high traffic intersection next to Elysian Park. The Allure resort joins 110 freeway and LA River together to create tension,flow, and movement
CONCEPT:
Attracting people to experience tango dance in the resort. By using fabric structure we relate the relationship of garment to the human body and also the tension in between dance partners.
OBJECTIVE:
The journey starts from 110 freeway towards East, making visitors head back to the West. People with cars will experience the parking entrance which is located underneath the resort and they reach the lobby by taking elevators after they drop off their cars. Pedestrians also can experience the main entrance and use escalator to reach the lobby. Resort programs are organized based on public and private spaces. Public spaces are located mostly on the organic building which gives the flawlessness experience to the guests, and the private spaces are located in orthogonal building in order to keep it simple and straight forward for the guests. The lobby is the main part of the resort that connects public and private areas together. The ballroom which is the main program this resort is located in the second floor of organic building so people can watch the movement on the freeways and surrounding areas and get motivated for dancing, There are restaurants on the fifth floor, shopping stores on third floor, and fitness center on the forth floor of the organic building . Also there are pool on the third floor of the orthogonal building which is creating a visual connection to the ballroom of organic building.

Located at the center of Pasadena City College, the project explored the visual capabilities of human to register information and learn. It transformed the existing courtyard in to a more interactive creative place for learning.

INTERFERENCE Group Project PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project explores different materials, their characteristics, natural behaviours and limitations. The problem is to design a functional modular system. The modules are designed based on how the material behaves naturally, how does it transform in various conditions, how does it perform and what limits its performance.

BIKE COMMUTER STATION SITE DESCRIPTION:
This project was part of a master plan of Exposition Park. The programs are bike commuter station and shading area for commuters around the site. After site analysis and creation of concept we design minimal surfaces which provide shading area and a pavilion for bike commuters.
CONCEPT:
Since Exposition Park opened in 1870’s, it located between different worlds, that always had conflicting demands. It created originally for agriculture displays and shaped because of economic and notion changes of the public park. Debt forced its management association to sell off small parcels in the 1880’s. This area has experienced a gradual transformation from a place of contemplation and urban refuge to center of activity. This shift resulted in the construction of a strings of crowd.
EROSION:
While development brought more people to the park, the sport facilities and parking lots guaranteed an Erosion of its primary meaning-open space.

CENTURY CITY SHOPPING CENTER SITE DESCRIPTION:
The problem is to redesign the north-east section of Westfield Century City Mall, on Santa Monica Boulevard, Los Angeles. The design focuses in maximizing the user experience, the display surface for the tenants, and the retail space for two owners.

CONCEPT IDEA: BREAKING BARRIERS:
Breaking barriers means changing the social rules that improves society as a whole or as an individual achievement.
PROGRAM EXPERIENCE:
The experience of programs through the new design of the shopping center would entail strolling through the designed void that extends the high en retail stores toward the entrance circulation, while placing the special and larger chain retail stores toward the middle and where is going to be the public gathering areas.
