Loving my body came later - firstly, I simply needed to tolerate it and approach it without judgement. Now, as an eating disorder recovery coach, this is also the first step I tend to work on with clients. Loving your body is great, but sometimes that is setting the bar too high, making you feel like it is just another task you are failing at. That is where body neutrality comes in. Now I do love my body, yet it is the core principles of body neutrality that grounds me and has gotten me to that point of self-love. Many years ago, self-love and looking myself in the mirror and actually liking what I was seeing seemed impossible, and perhaps ironically, by not making that my main goal, it became achievable with time.’’ Meet...
