Ziplining
Soar above our temperate rainforest! Stoney Creek Canopy Adventures (p. 67) features eight ziplines, three suspension bridges, and two rappels. The guided tour lasts approximately 3 hours and includes all safety equipment, instruction, and practice on “ground school” runs before beginning the panoramic course.
MOUNTAIN & ROADBIKING
Get into gear and explore Seward on a bike. There are a variety of trails for bikers of all kinds and experience levels, from beginners looking for a mellow waterfront trail to seasoned mountain bikers looking for a leg-burning, climbing challenge. Be sure to pop into the Seward Bike Shop (p. 61), housed in an old train car, for all your cycling needs.

Waterfront Path
Walk or bike part of the National Historic Iditarod Trail from its starting point by the Alaska SeaLife Center. It’s a great route to spot some of our favorite locals including Steller sea lions, harbor seals, and humpback whales.
Evan Casey Skatepark
Grab your helmet, favorite board, blades or bike, and get ready to stick the landing at this unique facility. Located next to the Waterfront Playground and Branson Pavilion on Ballaine Blvd, this scenic spot stays busy year-round.

Tucked away from traffic in the quiet Forest Acres neighborhood, this easily accessible pump track is an excellent space for riders of all levels to safely train and improve their skills. The Forest Acres Campground , basketball court and playground are nearby.
Disc Golf Course
Keep Calm & Bang Chains
A short walk from the Seward Visitor Center, this 9-hole course twists and turns through the forest understory. Count on natural hazards like devil’s club to keep you on target! Players usually spend 0.5 - 1 hours playing these classic northwest woods links.
