A 2021 winner of Outsider magazine’s Breaking Barriers Award, Smith will also share more about his nonprofit’s efforts to make hunting and fishing more inclusive. This event is hosted at the G&G offices in Charleston’s historic Cigar Factory and paired with creative cocktails and good company.

Edward Nickens and Dr. Jennifer Rehage, director of the Rehage Laboratory of Coastal Fish Ecology & Fisheries at Florida International University, for a spirited exploration of how nearshore angling for bonefish, tarpon, permit, redfish, and snook is changing in surprising—and even exciting—ways. Rehage, a newly elected board member of the Bonefish & Tarpon Trust, has been involved in some of the most progressive saltwater fisheries studies of the last decade, an insight she’ll share in this discussion.
