Information Sessions are used by many employers to make SFA students and alumni aware of available employment opportunities! A Career Services staff member will be available before, during and after your Information Session to assist you with locating the room, using the equipment, directing students to the room and answering any questions you may have.
Date and Time Your Information Session time can be scheduled at your convenience. Career Services will earnestly try to accommodate your initial request concerning date and time. However, prior commitments may take precedence. In this event, additional options will be available to you. Generally, Information Sessions in the afternoon have proved successful, with a start time anywhere from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Most Information Sessions last around 45-60 minutes.
Location Information Sessions are typically held in Rusk Building, Room 333. Set up classroom style, Room 333 can comfortably accommodate about 30 people. A 6-foot table may be requested in the room for your use. If requested, accommodations may be made in the Baker Pattillo Student Center. However, there will be a $25.00 fee assessed for technical equipment.
Equipment Rusk 333 is equipped with a laptop with access to the Internet and a CD/DVD player, both set for projection at the front of the room. We ask that you utilize our equipment to avoid technical problems.
Student Attendance Career Services requests that a sign-in sheet of students who attend be maintained. This will be provided by Career Services and placed in a visible area. Upon request, the sign-in sheet may be emailed to you after the Information Session.
Catering Water will be provided at the time of your Information Session. If you would like to order catering for your Information Session, this must be placed through the Career Services Interview Coordinator. Aramark, our campus dining service, requires that food be purchased two (2) weeks before your Information Session.
