What is the difference between a pre-select and an open schedule?
Preselect Schedules require applicants to request to interview by submitting their resume before the Request Period Closed date. Employers then select qualified candidates (or “pre-selects”) using application, resume, Jobs4Jacks profile, and any other information submitted. Open Schedules allow applicants to directly choose an open timeslot on the interview schedule.
Can I bring along a “greeter?”
Career Services has adequate space in our interview lobby if you would like to bring along an additional team member to serve as a greeter. In addition, feel free to bring materials about your organization to place in the lobby for interviewee reading.
Will I have access to wireless internet?
The Rusk Building, along with many campus locations, has access to SFA-Wireless, the campus wireless network. The SFA-Wireless WEP key, or network key, is: golumberjacks (all lowercase, no spaces) You will then register as a SFASU University Client. It will ask you to provide the following information: • MySFA User Name (this will be provided for you) • Pin (this will be provided for you) • Phone Number: Your contact number • Location: Off-Campus • Room Number: 1 After “running” the program, you may need to reboot your machine. **Mac Users: Connecting to SFA-Wireless proves to be a little more difficult for Mac users. Please try to utilize a PC, or you run the risk of being unable to connect.
