Teacher Perspective
"As a teacher, I think it is imperative, especially considering the current circumstances, that we keep up with the technological and pedagogical advancements of the 21st century. This, for me, has taken the form of the Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator certification.
For English class, this means more collaborative efforts via Microsoft Teams and OneNote, particularly for the sake of discussion and essay peer revisions and finding creative ways to demonstrate knowledge through projects and presentations. I am excited for the opportunities that this certification affords me but also, more importantly, what it affords students and the future of their learning."
-Mr. Matthew A. Ernst English Teacher, American and British Literature
"My experience as a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert (MIEE) has provided me with many new opportunities that I would not have had without choosing to expand my knowledge (and comfort zone) in teaching with technology.
Being a MIEE has given me a membership in the US and global MIEE communities. It is so empowering to be in contact with other Educator Experts striving to provide a strong, solid curriculum and sharing their ideas with each other, especially during remote learning."
