Come see how the Multimedia students of Sequim High School create award winning posters, logos, business cards, brochures, advertisements, videos, and more using the latest industry standard software. Students will be presenting software demonstrations on Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Stop by and speak directly to the editorial staff of the Growl News Network. See firsthand how they produce and edit the “GNN,” the weekly newscast program shown every Friday at the high school.

Home Video Making with Microsoft Live Movie Maker

If your new computer has Microsoft Windows 7 or if you have recently upgraded to Windows 7, you have a free video making program called Live Movie Maker. Learn how to easily combine your own videos, pictures and music into a movie that you can upload to video-hosting sites such as YouTube or make DVDs that you can you play on your TV or send to friends and relatives. Great for creating movie memories of holidays, cruises, vacations or other special occasions.

Tech savvy high school students will demonstrate social networking tools, techniques and devices using Texting, Facebook and Twitter. Bring your problems and your devices. Students will help you. This has been a very popular and successful program in the past.

The iPad from Apple – A Show and Tell:

Ray Bentsen from the Strait Mac Users Group (SMUG) will present Apple’s tablet computer, the iPad. Similar to iPod Touch, the iPad syncs with iTunes on either Mac or PC. The demo includes many of iPad’s built-in applications which may include items form the following list Safari, Mail, Photos, Videos, You Tube, iPod, Contacts, Notes, Maps, iCal, and e-book app called iBooks.

Chuck Howerton, PhD will demonstrate how easy it is to move from the PC and Windows world to the Apple Macintosh. He will also show how you can preserve the things you value most from you PC and keep on computing. Chuck is a member of both SPCUG and SMUG.

Jerry Freilich, President of the Strait Mac Users Group, SMUG, will give an overview of the AppleMAC world and its great applications. Jerry is a gifted and enjoyable presenter well versed in the MAC computers and their applications.

A4 Buying and Selling on eBay

Al Popowski has over a decade of experience in online selling and buying. This seminar will highlight how to best sell and buy on Ebay using the right pictures, content and templates. Al will also cover safety, security, timing tricks and the use of PayPal.

E3 The Amazing 3D World of Student Technology at Sequim High School:

Sequim High School Students Reid Henry and Matisen Anders demonstrate 3-D printer, CAD Design, Rhino & Game Engine Design. These student led presentations, demos and exhibits will make you wish you could go back and take the incredible tech-based learning programs now offered at Sequim High School.

Tim O’Neill, Olympic Peaks Camera Club, brings you an engaging seminar on how to download, edit and post your digital images. Learn to use camera memory to load images into your computer, resize if necessary and upload your shots into email programs, YouTube and other social sites. Tim will also demonstrate freeware programs like Picasa and Fastone that are very quick and easy to use.

Tom Pitre, PhD presents an amazing array of programs, tools and software that you can use for business, pleasure and publicity.
