INTER-CLUB LEAGUE TOURNMENT

The last Inter-club League game was held at the Tanglin Club on the 16th of October 2019. After an exciting night of Balut, the regular prizes were handed out, with Singapore Indian Association taking home the top prize. The night concluded with prizes for the overall highest team aggregate for the year and yes, SCC Team 1 took top honors. So SCC will be holding the finals for the Inter-club League in 2020! Congrats SCC Team 1!

39TH CHIVAS REGAL INTERPORT COMPETITION The Kota Kinabulu Club hosted the 39th Chivas Regal Interport on the 22nd & 23rd of November 2019. We would like to thank the KK club, gracious hosts as always! SCC did not win; however Singapore Indian Association did bring the trophy back to Singapore. Our very own Peter Khoo and Foo Yong won 2nd place in the pairs.

IN-HOUSE BALUT EVENTS

Tuesday, 8th Oct An excellent turnout of 31 players with our Captain, Raj Kumar, taking the honors again with 663 points. Second and third places went to Kiren Kaur with 660 points and Huned Hassanbhai with 633 points respectively. Rick Clements took home the prize for the lowest individual aggregate with a total score of 489 points.

Tuesday 12th Nov At the last in-house game before our Christmas game, Anwar Gaffoor took the top spot with an aggregate of 667 points, followed by Tony Fisher with 663 and coming in third, was John Taylor with 644 points.

Balut Section Christmas Party Over 40 Section Members and guests attended the Balut Christmas party held at the Gilmore Room on the 7th of December 2019. After a scrumptious traditional Christmas spread, all participated in the final eight games of Balut for the year. In between the games, lucky draw prizes were awarded to a “lucky” few! We were rewarded with a tea break - yummy sandwiches of ham, turkey and lamb - after the 4th game. The festive atmosphere continued till early evening, culminating in the final prize giving for the year. Soma Devi won the Christmas games with a total of 865 points. In 2nd & 3rd place were Mark Nerva with 855 points and Ravinder Kaur with 828 points respectively. There were additional prizes awarded for the highest individual aggregate of the year. Our

very own Captain, Raj Kumar, took home the top prize with a total of 5268 points, followed by Jasmine Fisher with 4782 points. The Balut Section would like to thank Mr. Rajan Menon of Pernod Ricard for attending and for the gracious contribution of gifts for the lucky draw and prizes. The Section would also like to extend our thanks to President Sher Baljit Singh, GC Member Fathima Mohietheen and Raz from Accounts for attending and contributing to the festive atmosphere. UPCOMING EVENTS FOR 2020

The next in-house game will be held at the Gilmore Room on Tuesday the 14th of January. The Balut Intersection will be held at the Padang on Saturday the 14th of March.
