The client, MITSUI, required a 128,000 sq. ft. coil storage facility to be built in two phases on a Greenfield site. TCE was to provide complete turnkey services, including site location and transportation studies, financing, facility planning and designing, facility construction, and hiring of personnel for the office and plant operations.
INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTORS
TCE used our American Building Company pre-engineered steel building system to construct the building, which includes administration offices and plant facility. In addition to the warehousing area for storing steel coils, the plant has a new $5 million inspection and slitting line for testing coils for defects prior to shipping to the end user. The building also has two 35-ton and two 30-ton overhead cranes. TCE provided all construction and installation services for the line and operating equipment, as well as for network communications used within the facility. The building and all associated work were completed on schedule and within budget.

Roast and Boast Turkey Package Design and Name Generation Inundated with “How to Cook a Turkey� phone calls during the holiday season, Lilydale decided to create an all-in-one foolproof turkey roasting kit, complete with a pop-up timer and a cleaned, pre-seasoned fresh turkey in its own cooking bag. The easy preparation method presented an additional opportunity for Lilydale to reposition turkey as an everyday alternative to beef or chicken, not only for special occasions. Packaging had to relay on the emotional benefits of ease and reliable results, reassuring the consumer of a perfect turkey they can be proud to serve to family and guests. A name generation exercise produced the feel-good name Roast and Boast and staked a claim to the innovative roasting method with the term roasting jacket.

Lilydale Inc. Tailgate Turkey Sausage Label Design and Name Generation Increasingly, the “ready-for-the-grill� section of the supermarket is a bright and exciting place abounding with slick and powerful brands. We felt that the increasing appeal of a healthier, low fat entry here made it the perfect time for Lilydale to rebrand its turkey wieners, which at the time were marketed with only generic Lilydale family labeling.

Pinty’s Delicious Foods Inc. Package Design for Pinty’s Frozen Chicken Entreés Pinty's package design had been suffering from a definite lack of appetite appeal. Furthermore, with little consistency between products in the line, the company was losing brand recognition while confusing customers. With packaging already scheduled for an update to meet the CFIA's new labelling regulations, it was the ideal time to undertake a holistic design exploration. Shintani Giordan created a strong family look for Pinty's packaging that would translate easily across a variety of bagged and tray products. A new panel for flavour designation provides a shapely frame for showcasing new appetizing product photography. A standardized information hierarchy makes it easy for consumers to quickly scan and compare products.

Canadian Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Association Foundation (CCTFAF) Web Site The CCTFA Foundation is the charitable foundation of Canada’s personal care products industry association. Our mission is to foster greater awareness and understanding of, and support for, the psychosocial needs of people living with cancer, at every stage of their journey. Shintani Giordan had worked on some selected smaller print projects in the past, and when they began a search for a partner in the digital arena, the foundation chose us as their partner. First up was the design, build, SEO and hosting for cctfafoundation.ca – their main online property.
