Central to the New Generation DUO mixers is the new conical chamber design and the Turbo augers, perfectly matched to each other. This new design boosts mixing performance by optimizing the flow of material in the hopper, increasing productivity by reducing mixing time and power and fuel consumption.
The New Wireless Control System resets the standard for control units. It is a combined weighing and control system, where all communication between mixer and control terminal is done via wireless communication and without any need for cables.
The New Generation DUO mixers can be supplied with an array of discharge options to customize the mixer to local farm conditions and requests. The new cross conveyor, with its new open design, provides excellent visibility and overview during feed-out.

The Turbo Auger The auger height is adjusted to the hopper height providing a perfect auger-hopper ratio for a precise and quick mix at low power requirements. Equipped with two flights the augers do not only ensure rapid mixing action, but also an even and regular feed discharge. Conical Hopper The new conical hopper shape provides fast processing and mixing. The edged hopper optimizes feed flow, preventing continuous stirring at the edges of the chamber. Wireless Control Terminals
The new Wireless Control Terminal is a combined weighing and control system that gives you full control of all important functions. All communication between the mixer and the control terminal is done via wireless communication and without any need for cables. The new solution offers the option of a second control terminal for the loading tractor, providing the operator with more control and accuracy which is especially important when loading complicated recipes.
The Machine Box All information, such as machine configuration, parameter settings, loading and unloading programs are stored centrally in the machine box. The machine box is positioned on the feed mixer, protected from damage and safe from the tough conditions. As soon as the control terminals are switched on, they will start wireless communication with the machine box. Should a control terminal have to be replaced, all data is immediately available again. 6
Basic Terminal The practical handheld Basic Terminal combines hydraulic functions and weight display in the unloading mode. In loading mode the weighing system functions and the hydraulic counter-knives are controllable. The robust terminal is developed especially for heavy use in difficult conditions.
Premium Terminal Using the Premium Terminal provides you with the best and most comfortable management of your feed mixer. Loading and unloading programs can be easily created from the drivers’ cabin and the large high-resolution display offers an excellent overview of hydraulic functions, position of discharge doors and weighing system functions.

Wireless SWT Package The Wireless SWT* package offers simple and intuitive control of the weighing system, with handling of hydraulic functions through the tractor hydraulics. You can reset the weighing system at any time comfortably from the driver seat. Weight information is always available, even when the loader is in the silo, to help you increase loading precision and feed quality.
Wireless SWE Package With the Wireless SWE* package both weighing system and electro-hydraulic functions are controlled via the terminal. Electro-magnetic hydraulic valves on the mixer are wireless-controlled and can be partly controlled from the loader. For instance the hydraulic counter-knives and change of gear speed are changed from the loader. Upgrade Your Package The Wireless SWE and SWT packages can be supplied with an extra Basic or Premium terminal. With the high end Premium terminal programs can be transferred from PC to Premium Terminal using a USB stick. In addition a USB stick can be used to retrieve all loading details stored in the machine box. The optional Feeding Management System helps you manage all feeding data.
Feeding Management Software The Siloking Kverneland Feeding Management System (FMS) is an easyto use tool for any user. The system is based upon a web-based platform, allowing you access from anywhere. Heavy Duty Frame Design
Box Frame Chassis The axle design of the New Generation DUO is designed for more payloads and comes with wider axles. The tandem axle versions are fitted with parabolic springs for more stability, and can optionally be supplied with steered axles for improved maneuverability. The chassis is designed from a strong and torsion-resistant box frame, using a heavy duty 1.000mm wide frame increasing driving stability and strength of the total machine.

Accurate Control During Loading Precise control of ration components is needed when preparing feed rations. The New Generation DUO mixers are fitted with a highly accurate weighing system as standard. This means that exact quantities of materials can be loaded - essential for the preparation of accurate feed rations. Featuring multiple weigh bars mounted between hopper and separate chassis, this quality system offers very accurate control of even small components during the loading of the machine. The special casing enables the load cell to be supported only on one point, ensuring highest weighing accuracy.

Gearbox and Driveline System
Always Perfect Auger Speed for Increased Productivity The New Generation DUO mixers can be fitted with a hydraulically operated 2-speed gearbox, allowing the operator to always run with the perfect auger speed during cutting, mixing and feed-out. This reduces working hours and increases productivity. Setting the correct auger speed for different processes will optimize the mixing process significantly: • 20 rpm for gentle mixing to maintain effective fibre. • 35 rpm for fast cutting or discharge, reducing mixing time and delivering a perfect feed length. 10
• 64 rpm for complete discharge and cleaning of the hopper. The gearbox speed is conveniently changed from the driver seat via the Wireless Control System and tractor hydraulics. The gearbox is adapted to all PTO speeds and will work with 540, 750 and 1000 rpm. Clearly visible and easy accessible expansion tanks, placed in a protected area on the side of the hopper, provide fast and easy oil check of the planetary gearbox. Inspection and refill is very simple.

Planetary Gearbox The new Siloking designed gearbox gives you all the power you need to prepare high mix quality in the shortest possible time. Standard with planetary gearbox with helical bevel gear drive, the heavy duty transmission is engineered for efficiency and durability, even when operating at high torque with full loads. This new gearbox is developed specifically for the tough requirements of vertical mixers, for instance when starting up with a fully loaded hopper and when cutting bales. The gearbox is 100% oil-immersed and virtually maintenance free only requiring oil change. All elements of the transmission – auger connection, planetary gearbox, 2-speed gearbox and drive-line are well matched and the straight driveline with no angles on the PTO shafts provides efficient power transmission with long lifetime at lower fuel usage.

Conical Hopper Shape for Reduced Power Consumption
Right Hopper Design for Correct Structure of the Feed The edged hopper design and turbo augers are perfectly matched to each other to ensure a high quality, homogenous mix and smooth discharge, even when working with un-chopped feed materials. The conically formed hopper shape enhances feed flow back from top to hopper bottom, providing faster processing of long fibre feed. In addition the required revolutions per mix are reduced, meaning higher productivity and reduced power consumption through less mixing time and fuel consumption.

The edged shape optimizes feed flow and material at the edges of the hopper is guided back onto the augers, preventing continuous stirring. This provides a more efficient mixing process, reducing mixing timing and by that protecting the effective fibre in the feed. The FlowPlus hopper ring ensures continuous feed material movement without blockages by moving the material from top to hopper bottom. This gives a faster mixing of especially baled material and long fibre feed, and a more even process avoiding peaks of torque.
Wedge line Hopper Shape The WedgeLine hopper shape with an edged middle section is designed for optimized material flow, providing faster dissolving and mixing by continuously guiding the material towards the augers. Also, it is possible to add smaller components into the mix at any time. For longer durability Siloking Kverneland has developed the Silonox covering for the mixing augers and hopper walls. This hard surface treatment, made of wear resistant and corrosion-resistant high quality steel, is added to the middle section of the hopper, the area which is subjected to the heaviest wear.

The Turbo Auger The auger height is adjusted to the hopper height providing a perfect auger-hopper ratio for a precise and quick mix. The large dimensioned Turbo augers with slow revolutions provide a gentle mix with very low power requirements. Equipped with an additional wing at 180° to the auger leading edge, the turbo auger ensures a rapid and thorough mixing action. In addition feed discharge is regular and even. The Turbo augers are fitted with hard-edged scraping strips (St 70) and multiple adjustable hard-coated XS knives, ensuring ultimate durability of this critical component. The scraping strip of the auger has been given a flat design to reduce power requirement. The flat strip is able to lift concentrates from the bottom of the machine making it possible to add concentrates from the very beginning of the mixing process. The Turbo auger can be fitted with a magnet to remove foreign matters during the mixing. This is the ideal solution for problematic feed with risk of iron particles being added into the feed.

Feed Out – Every Barn is Different
The Siloking Kverneland vertical mixer range can be adapted to suit a wide variety of barns or feed troughs. From feeding onto the floor or over high feed barriers, there is a discharge solution available. Alternatively the cross-conveyor offers a professional solution to transport the material from front or rear doors to either side of the machine. Discharge Door Design The inner door surface is alligned with the inner hopper wall, providing a smooth and even surface during the mixing with no edges. This rreduces power consumption and gives a more efficient mixing process. The discharge doors have sharp edges at the bottom to provide complete closing. The edges are made from Silonox, ensuring that they are long lasting and will stay sharp.

Sideways Movable Conveyor The cross conveyor can be fitted with an optional hydraulic displacement. This enables the conveyor to move up to 350mm each way for more even discharge into difficult wide troughs. It also enables the mixer to travel away from discharged mix.
Wide Cross Conveyor The new cross-conveyor offers a professional solution to transport the material from front or rear doors to either side of the machine. Thanks to the 800mm wide conveyor and 650mm high door opening, discharge is quick and safe. The new open design provides the operator with a good overview of the discharge. Discharge Elevator Discharge elevator is available for direct distribution into feed troughs. It is available in two different sizes, 1000mm and 1500mm, and can be set for different working heights. It can be fitted onto the cross conveyor or directly onto the discharge door.
The Conveyor Belt The new cross conveyor belt, made of robust PVC material, is fitted with split rubber slats of differing heights to ensure trouble free transport of the feed material. The rubber slats closest to the discharge door comes with a lower height compared to the slats positioned away from the door. This split provides a more even distribution and load of material across the entire working width of the conveyor belt, reducing blockages and providing a more uniform feed-out in front of the cows. Also it ensures an even split of load on the conveyor belt, reducing wear and increasing reliability.
The new cross conveyor belt is driven by two motors and the belt tension is kept at the same level no matter in which direction the belt is running.
The rubber slats closest to the discharge door comes with a lower height compared to the slats positioned away from the door.

TwinLift for Narrow Buildings
Suitable for Narrow Passages and High Troughs The TwinLift conveyor is a versatile solution designed for varying farm conditions. It is controlled by hydraulics and has the advantage of discharging on either side of the machine in normal or high position. By simply switching a lever on the conveyor, the user can decide if he is to discharge onto the floor or into a trough – this offers a more flexible discharge solution compared to normal folding conveyor belt combinations. “TwinLift” in the central starting position is no wider than the machine – this makes it ideal for barns with narrow passages, but if necessary it can be pushed out 40cm to either side to reach the desired discharge point or to allow the feeding of large amounts of material, without the risk of the wheels running over it. When elevated to the highest position on either side, the ends of the conveyor increase the discharge height by 50cm to provide a discharge height of approx. 1.20m, thus removing the need for additional folding conveyors.

Straw Blower for Bedding Purposes
The proven 1.55 m diameter flywheel comes from the wheel known Kverneland Taarup Bale Choppers and is capable of blowing straw up to 18 m or more.
Accurate and Even Bedding The straw blower option offers a precise discharge of the straw inside the animal buildings. The 1.55 m diameter front mounted flywheel comes from the longestablished Kverneland Taarup 850 series Bale Choppers – well known for their robust design and quality distribution of straw. This system is mechanically driven from the tractor and located on the front of the machine, without the need for feed drums or conveyors. Drive to the flywheel is independent of the drive to the augers, supporting each phase of the process – loading, cutting, mixing and discharge. Straw is distributed by the side discharge chute, offering straw blow up to 18/20 m or more (depending on straw type and quality). A door position indicator allows the operator to control the flow of material to the flywheel.
All functions are hydraulically controlled (opening/closing of the door, lift/lower of the discharge chute & flywheel on/off), permitting a precise control of the straw discharge from the tractor seat.
Foreign objects are separated from the straw and easily removed from the flywheel.
