The Ultimate in Manoeuvrability‌

Compact, Versatile and Strong The combination of the design with low height and rear wheel steering offers the ultimate manoeuvrability in even small farmyards and buildings. Small silos, low building entrances, low cattle sheds, even narrow feed passages are no problem for the Prestige range of self-propelled feed mixers.

The three wheel design also eliminates the risk of running on feed with the rear wheel – particularly important in narrow feed passages. As an option it is also possible to discharge simultaneously through two discharge doors! The unique three point suspension eliminates any twisting forces on the strong box-section chassis. This ensures a long life for the machine plus an accurate weighing of components.

Three wheeled design for compact turning angle. 8

Unique Three-Wheel Design The Prestige range of self-propelled mixers feature a unique three wheel design – the steering rear wheel ensures the machine turns about the front axle. This is an ideal solution in small buildings and farms with limited space or access. Rear wheel steering offers the smallest possible turning circle, plus the ultimate control of machine position during loading and discharge. This is particularly important to ensure that feed is discharged in the correct place and to reduce losses during loading. For example – ultimate steering control ensures the machine can be positioned so that the milling head can collect material even from the edge of the silo. This means reduced manual work and reduced material loss.

Easy access into buildings with limited space.

Low and narrow design for operation in older buildings.

The three-wheeled design ensures that there is no risk of running on feed. 9

Quality Feed … Fast! To produce an accurately measured, homogenous mix whilst maintaining the structure of the feed, the 2m wide milling head is designed to manage the flow of feed material as fast and as gently as possible. The tungsten carbid knives are specially shaped to collect feed as efficiently as possible. Each knife has a proven long life – but is also reversible to extend the life even further. Accurate Weighing For weighing accuracy – only material in the milling head, conveyor and mixing chamber is weighed. It’s even possible to reverse the conveyor from the cabin to discharge excess material if necessary. The programmable weighing system supports the operator in the preparation of accurate feed rations.

Immediately behind the knives are specially designed shovels, which gently move the feed to the centre of the milling head and onto the loading conveyer, transporting the feed into the mixing chamber.

Blockages on the conveyor or conveyor housing can be cleared simply and efficiently by reversing the conveyor direction from the in-cab controls. 11

Conical Hopper Shape for Reduced Mixing Time

The Turbo Auger The auger height is adjusted to the hopper height providing a perfect auger–hopper ratio for a precise and quick mix. The large dimensioned Turbo augers with slow revolutions provide a gentle mix with very low power requirements. Equipped with an additional wing at 180° to the auger leading edge, the turbo auger ensures a rapid and thorough mixing action. In addition feed discharge is regular and even.

12

The Turbo augers are fitted with hardedged scraping strips (St 70) and multiple adjustable hard-coated XS knives, ensuring ultimate durability of this critical component. The scraping strip of the auger has been given a flat design to reduce power requirement. The flat strip is able to lift concentrates from the bottom of the machine, making it possible to add concentrates from the very beginning of the mixing process.

The Turbo auger can be fitted with a magnet to remove foreign matters during the mixing. This is the ideal solution for problematic feed with risk of iron particles being added into the feed.

Conical Hopper Design The edged hopper design and turbo augers are perfectly matched to each other to ensure a high quality, homogenous mix and smooth discharge, even when working with un-chopped feed materials. The conically formed hopper shape enhances feed flow back from top to hopper bottom, providing fast dissolving and mixing of long fibre feed. In addition the required revolutions per mix are reduced, meaning higher productivity through less mixing time and fuel consumption. The edged shape optimized feed flow and material at the edges of the hopper is guided back onto the augers, preventing continuous stirring. This provides a more efficient mixing process, reducing mixing time and by that protecting the effective fibre in the feed.

The XS knives, produced from wear resistant hardened material, can be adjusted to feed conditions.

The Turbo auger with flat scraping bar allows efficient pick-up of even concentrates.

The hydraulic counter knives also support the processes of mixing and discharge. The counter knives are controlled hydraulically from the cabin.

The Command Centre – Ergonomic Cab Design

14

For the ultimate operator comfort (and to make sure the operator is happy as your animals) the Prestige range of selfpropelled feed mixers have been carefully designed with the operator in mind:

The cabin position and the extended windscreen ensure a clear view of the loading process – the milling head is clearly visible from the highest to the lowest position.

The carefully designed controls are all within easy reach of the comfortable suspended seat. The multifunction joystick provides most of the controls for loading and discharge.

Heated mirrors, good air circulation inside the cabin and large wipers help to maintain maximum visibility from the cabin - even when the difference in temperature inside and out is significant.

Cabin heater re-circulates the air from the bottom - ensuring clear windscreen (and warm feet!). The suspended seat also makes even the longer daily tasks pleasant and comfortable.

Colour video cameras as standard complete view of inside the mixing hopper. When reverse is selected the screen automatically selects the rear view camera as an aid to reversing.

The low level cab access ensures simple entry/exit, encouraging those simple jobs outside the cab to be done!

15

Drive System – Economy, Efficiency and Reliability

The engine and hydraulic system is mounted in the centre of the machine. The short drive lines to the milling head, the mixing unit and the driving wheels ensure an efficient drive system. This means lower power requirement and less fuel needed.

The complete drive system is cooled by a radiator with a large surface area – even at full load, in dusty conditions or in hot weather, you can be sure that the cooling system works at maximum efficiency. An automatic cleaning system which reverses the air flow through the radiator at regular intervals, helps to keep the radiator free from dust, so manual maintenance is kept to a minimum.

16

Perfect Weight Distribution The centrally mounted engine and hydraulic system, the pivot point of the conveyor and milling head and majority of the mixer weight are supported by the main driving axle at the front. With most of the weight on the front axle the machine is extremely stable, with sufficient traction to operate even in the most difficult conditions – for example on steep hills or in winter conditions.

Simple Maintenance The key to trouble-free long life is regular, planned maintenance. The Prestige range of selfpropelled feed mixers has been carefully designed for simple maintenance by one person. Access to the engine compartment is simple. Hydraulic oil levels are easily visible using the sight glasses. The radiator cover is hinged for simple access to the engine and oil radiators. A pre-filter extends intervals between cleaning the airfilter. All lubrication points are also conveniently located – no more difficulties greasing components!
